Motherwell Vs Panathinaikos

Appreciate the responses to my post.

"Ya ssou", is two words,

Ygia and sou, health and to you

It means to your health and is used as a greeting or cheers.

Not unlike Aloha.

"Hello" has many variations depending on the social situation etc

No one said Greek is easy...

Good bye informally could be: "Yia hara"- Health and joy

The visitors are separated in the upper stands, in the south section, next to the scoreboard.

The whole adjacent section will be EMPTY for security.

There will be police escort in and out of the stadium.

I do not anticipate any problems, unless you commit the ultimate sin of sporting any Olympiakos products... BAD, very, very BAD!!! Rangers vs Celtics kind of BAD

Celtics' Samaras, advised PAO to be very careful of Motherwell.

No one is taking this lightly.

Most Greeks, including myself, have a greater affinity for Scots (Albannaich) and Irish, than for the English.

Not that we dislike the English, just feel more compatible with the warm blooded types.

PAO has a good following in Ireland actually, for obvious reasons...:bad:

Stay away from the areas south of Omonia square.

It is not dangerous, just unpleasant.

Unless you enjoy hard drugs and nasty looking Eastern European prostitutes.

Just posted on the Athens thread.

Give me shout for any additional info.

PEACE

While we are all living the unbelievable dream with this game, I am sure many of us have family and friends that have dreamed that same dream and are, sadly, no longer with us, some from this very board even. Maybe raise a wee glass to them before the game and an extra wee cheer for them?

Will do

What's the ticket update? Will it sell out?

The closer we get to kick off and the more we hear from the Panathinaikos camp, the more I'm starting to feel quietly confident we could pull off a result here. Karagounis not travelling and Katsouranis likely to be on the bench is a big boost, and although it is still a tall order, I'm hoping that we can nick it by the odd goal.

Failing that I would take a clean sheet right now, but I just hope we give a decent account of ourselves!

Good luck to the players, they deserve it, and savour the night lads, it's occasions like these that make the freezing nights in Forfar watching us getting beat on pens or ten years of futile trips to Snake Mountain worthwhile!

COYW!

Round at new arrivals from Scotland home having a bbq with some mates and their wags, our hosts who hail from Rutherglen have decorated their outdoor area in maroon and gold for the Well! Will tell them later the colours are actually claret and amber Jimmy is a rangers fan but his missus wants to follow the STEELMEN!!!! She is wearing a tiny pair of maroon shorts and a gold top and has a yellowribbon in her hair she keeps asking when the kick off is as its 7:25 pm here right now......I keep telling her and him its at 4:45 am wednesday morning every one else here knows and just keep them going. Anyway the beer is flowing and its the Steelmen for breakfast....

She wore she wore......

Been quite busy lately so haven't had a chance to post, or even really think about tonights game which is extremely unusual for me. I'm looking forward to seeing a hopefully packed out Fir Park making a huge amount of noise for the team, but beyond that I have no expectations. Keeping the tie alive for the away leg would be nice, but we shouldn't be under any illusions about how difficult a game this will be.

What will be will be. I'll be more annoyed if we don't take anything from Saturday!

Just heard that there are only a few remaining tkts for South stand............

'ello peeps.

Looks like a 10,000+ crowd. It's gonnae get noisy!

Yeh the club have played a blinder here. Folk were moaning at the price of tickets but we should rake in more than £200,000 from tonight's game. Which could be vital for us.

Can't wait for tonight, going to be a brilliant atmosphere.
