thirdwell : (23 October 2017 - 03:48 AM)

I have spent the last hour reading some of the Rangers fans comments on the game. Each one of them said that the ref was a disgrace, that at least 3 Motherwell players should have been sent off and dozens of them claim to have heard the disgusting incident regarding Bowman breaking the nose!  In all my (almost) 50 years a 'Well fan I feel truly ashamed that the one and only great club in Scottish football is being victimised by the authorities (Rangers fans words not mine). I therefore urge that Motherwell, in fact all teams, that play Glasgow Rangers FC in future: do not tackle, do not jump for the ball, do not shot towards the Rangers goalmouth. If one of the opposition feels that a Ranger's player is a little tired or fatigued he should immediately notify the nearest official to have the game stopped so that said player may have a wee seat and a cuppa tea/coffee and a biscuit or two. This relaxation period is only relevant to players of RFC. If any other STEELMEN can think of any way that can improve Ranger chances of winning please feel free to add to the above list.

Cadden was excellent throughout but Carson edges it for me. Three top class saves and his distribution was fantastic. He's also a throwback to big Sieb the way he decides early to come collect a cross, even if it's 16 yards out.

Close run between Carson and Cadden but throughout the game Carson was keeping his defence in order and telling them where he wanted them.

Two brillant saves and the best kickout I've seen in a long time right into the corner!

There's a few I could have given it to, but Carson gets the nod. Two or three fantastic saves, and at crucial times.

It feels nice to have confidence in your goalkeeper again.

I said No, I have a receipt.

I agree in that it was a toss-up between those two. But Cadeen shaded it for me. Carson's judgement, so far,  looks better than Dykstra's as Sieb despite his iconic status, didn't always get it right.

Slightly off topic. Didn't Finnie (he was ref, last night?) epitomise the overall level of incompetence and arrogance of Scottish referees. Amazing how our refs are  like clones of Stewart Regan at SFA and Neil Doncaster at SPFL. The last time I saw a good ref was the week they went on strike.

I'm more concerned about him leaving than Louis.
