28 Mc Hugh 5

D.Thomas 5

N. Thomas 5.

Before he left Ojamma had picked up 47 points.

After a season of some unpleasant digs by a lot of fans Mick again wins the weegie award .Yup he had his difficulties but remember he was often the one constant when he had regular changes around him. Also many of these players suffered poor individual form themselves and were often reliant on Mick to keep them right.

With the likelihood of better stability in the defence next season who would bet against Mick making it 3 in a row.

Seems a more than ridiculous outcome , your club? your result

Out of curiosity do you have an average score and not just total?

tragically I looked and thats flawed, would need a weighting factor.

but does show that the high scorers for the Glasgow results had woefully low averages to be declared POTY

28 McHugh 5/1= 5.00

28 N.Thomas 5/1= 5.00

12. Johnson 52/12= 4.33

11.McDonald 53/13= 4.07

8. Long 60/15= 4.00

16. Grant 38/10= 3.80

4. Erwin 78/22= 3.55

14. Laing 46/13= 3.54

23 Lawson 14/4= 3.50

27. Moore 7/2 = 3.50

13.Pearson 50/15= 3.33

18 Straker. 35/11= 3.18

2. Lasley 121/39= 3.10

6. Ainsworth 73/24= 3.04

1. McManus 122/42= 2.90

10 O`Brien 55/19= 2.89

7. Ramsden 65/23= 2.83

23 Watt 14/5= 2.80

20. Hammell 33/12= 2.75

21. Angol 30/11= 2.73

26. Ferguson 8/3= 2.67

3. Law 88/34=2.59

5. Twardzik 74/29= 2.55

28 D.Thomas 5/2= 2.50

17. Carswell 36/16= 2.25

18. Kerr 35/17= 2.06

22. Vigurs 28/14= 2.00

25. Leitch 10/5= 2.00

15. Reid 42/22= 1.95

9. Sutton 59/31= 1.90

but interestingly if you remove the outliers with token appearances, it shows that the starting 11 developed over the course of the season similarly to the Glasgow branch scoring systems votes

ie, Sutton, Vigurs, Reid, carswell, Twardzik, Angol etc stopped starting games ( surprised Hammell scored as low!)

Seriously mate, not trying to slag you off or anything- this is genuine concern.

Are there any local book groups, rambler societys or train spotters in your local area? You really need to get out the house and meet people.

Sitting in the hoose counting the days until the start of the new season, scratching the Roman numerals on the wall prison-style. Close season is murder....

It's July 4th weekend here, and our company gave us Thu and Fri off. Went up to the UK store today to get some provisions (like square sausage) then fired up the BBQ with venison, buffalo burgers and duck hot dogs.

Sitting on the deck now with some booze and a fine cigar. 7:23pm and still 75F.

It's OK.

The fact he was referred to 3 times as "Mick" in the original post tells its own story. Glasgow (Celtic) Branch player of the year.

Either that or the boy is very much, at it

Pity your preconceived view of the Glasgow post need to be dashed but Mc Manus `s nickname throughout football is Mick.

As for the scoring the figures are an average taken from 10-12 of us. And yes Mc Manus scores high due to the high amount of games played. By contrast and as an example Hammell scores low because he barely featured.

At the end of day it is only our branch`s views and should be seen as such. All that matters is that the `Well succeed.
