That ties up well with what Andy Halliday said, before the announcement was made. No smoke without fire?

I'm no expert, but if I was on the Board at Fir Park the last person I'd be sharing confidential business details with is Tam.
-
Tam also said JBA rejected offer from sellik. Not really convinced as he was happy entertaining Rod Stewart. Time will tell who we get
- Today
-
Tam on off the ball on sat saying he knows for a fact that the directors knew JBA was going at the end of the season and had already been on it but the curve ball was that JBA then gave them a couple of names that he would reccomend to take over and carry on that style of play and everything he had set up he wouldnt give any names when pushed but did say he had txts to prove anybody know any good phone hackers šš
-
Exactly my point. Itās way past time that we stopped pussyfooting around them and their obnoxious fans.
-
I would imagine we will have a good look at him in pre season and if he isnt ready then a year at Ayr United wouldnt be a surprise choice. Hopefully he is good to go though and can fill one of the midfield berths.

I've noticed for at least the last two seasons that the foul shy law is virtually redundant anyway. Incursion on the pitch and simply "chucking it" are common. It seems our referees decide which laws to enforce and which to ignore. I'm afraid we have to accept that we were extremely unlikely to get anything out of that game. It was effectively a case of "keep playing until they score or are given a penalty". JBA is well out of it.
-
There should have been no penalty decision to be made in the Celtic game as Ralston who took the shy was clearly on the pitch when he threw the ball . So foul throw should have been awarded to us and game is over
-
Luckily for the rest of Scottish Football he should be away very very soon
-
Thats the one!

Lennon starts away to napoli today

It'll be interesting to see how Olly Whyte factors in this coming season. With that extension signed and his successful loan period last season, I'd hope to see him get some minutes in our midfield this season. I admit to not seeing much of him, but from what I've heard, he has a lot of qualities that could see him eventually fit into the midfield and how we play. I guess it'll depend on whether he's quite ready to show the consistency and decision-making under pressure that anyone playing in our midfield requires. I'm not sure another loan spell is needed, as there's few teams in the lower leagues that play how we do, so it wouldn't be worth it from that viewpoint. And he's already shown that he's physically capable of competing in senior football. I'd hope he sees time on our bench and gets some game time.

Couldn't resist it.........lenny Henry Couldn't top that one
-
I thought you retired earlier today.
-
Or we appoint a geordie manager using Way I ! š¤Ŗ
-
Could we not get ahead of the curve and appoint an AI manager? If they want to leave, we just switch them off and back on again.
-
Brilliant š¤£, life in general seems to be run and arranged by computers now. Where is it all going to end. With the next exiting new manager hopefully. But will it be via an online interview.
-
Just hoof it up the park!
-
If Lenny Henry is being quoted as being funnier than me its definitely time to retire š¤Ŗš¤Ŗ

Dougie Donnelly's interview with him yesterday after cup final was cringeworthy

It's difficult to tell exactly what data is being used, as clubs and the data company like to keep that very secret. It is their intellectual property after all, and different clubs will be looking for different things. As @fizoxy says, though, you can imagine we look at the number of key metrics that he mentions from percentage of games played by academy graduates and net profit on players recruited, developed and sold, to formations, tactics, style etc. It's only part of the picture of course, and candidates still need to be good fit for the club. In our specific case, we need to find a manager who supports the fan-owned model the Community Trust. Not sure if we'll have metrics on that, but there could be some. A number of years ago on one of the Royal Institution Christmas Lectures of all places, I remember the data scientist from Liverpool discussed how they were using certain models. It wasn't related to recruitment, but it was still fascinating. One of things they had done was to map the pitch into 1 metre squares. Then they took all the match data from their own games, and all the data from other EPL matches, and figured out the chances of a goal coming from possession in each individual square. Then, when they were training, part of their focus was to have tactics and formations that would get the ball into the higher percentage areas as quickly and as often as possible.

That's a bit unfair. I heard Lenny Henry tell a funny joke once.

I'm not sure MON is dangerous, but its obvious that when you take that job, it's part of the deal that you don't bad mouth their support. It's another reason their choice of managers is limited. The problem starts at the Board level, and that feeds all the other parts of the club. Graeme Souness is the only manager I can think that has taken any sort of stance, and while he shook things up by signing players from the "wrong school" he still didn't go as far as condemning the bigotry. Unfortunately for the sane fans, and unfortunately for Scotland, the sectarianism is good business for the media, so they will continue to take advantage of it for the forseeable future.
-
Iād say itās more that he embraces the problem, many that there are, at that club. Celtic and their fanbaseās āvictim mindsetā ramped up tenfold when OāNeill went there in the year 2000, along with the attitude you see nowadays of ālet us behave how we want, say what we want, sing what we want and if you have a problem with any of that you are an anti-Catholic, anti-Irish right wing racistā¦but donāt you say or sing anything that we donāt like because that offends usā. He emboldened them with and created a siege mentality, using Neil Lennon in particular to push the anti-Irish agenda and result of all of that is Celtic have the footballing authorities, the media and politicians scared of doing or saying anything to upset them. Do not believe for one second that Martin OāNeill is anything other than a very dangerous, manipulative person.

Remember it well, here he is It is laughable in a way, there is a problem at Celtic Park but he wants absolutely nothing to do with it
