  1. Past hour
  2. Anyway here's my thoughts on today. Positives - Motherwell fc running a bus - brilliant. Thank you The very cheap booze in the Stenhousemuir fc pub (I only had one....nice staff too) Thought fans backed the team really well We won! Sod's hilarious goal Negatives The pissing rain Being vertically challenged (although my view was not too bad considering I'm the height of a smurf) The toilets - although I'm sure there's worse in other grounds.
  3. A completely different game. In the last three games they have packed the defence and kept everybody behind the ball. Morton will come and have a go. I'll be more interested to see how we far against teams who are basically just setting themselves up to stop us scoring. Morton will be a bit more adventurous.
  4. I agree re him going back out on loan. Think he's lost confidence tbh
  5. That second half man. Painful. I'm not even going to say much about that match because there isn't a whole lot to say. But if you take the three matches as a whole we've probably been OK in 2 halves out of 6 and less than OK in 4 halves out of 6 and this against League 1 and League 2 sides. And pretty much across the board our final touch has been dreadful. Passing, shooting, crossing, chance creating it''s all been pretty woeful. And there is a whiff of defensive vulnerability even when we aren't under a lot of pressure. We are still very early in the season, and very early in Askou's tenure. But that team has a lot of improving to do in the next couple of weeks when we step up a level against Morton and Rangers.
  6. Mrs grizzly hacked your account also? 🀣🀣
  7. Good shout. What he had to do, he did well. Fads again showing promise and gets my vote.
  8. Well I hope SOD is proud of himself, how dare he score the winning goal today, absolute disgrace and hopefully gets dropped for Tuesday πŸ€ͺπŸ€ͺ
  9. I voted for the keeper. I know he has had little to do in the past 2 games, but other than the poor pass against Peterhead (which he redeemed with a good save), he has looked confident and 100% on board with the new strategy. Playing regularly on loan certainly doesn't hurt in that position compared to sitting on the bench for 2 years. Being an academy product might add to my bias.
  10. Today
  11. I think we're still at the stage where players are thinking about the new tactics, instead of being more instinctive - and that cause some of the runs and passes to be slightly late. Agree about the crosses, though - quality has been poor overall.
  12. Unless we pull a significant improvement out of the hat this won’t be pleasant for us. 0-3 defeat.
  13. Looking forward to this one and how we play against a team that, presumably, will want to come forward more often. More space to attack, more defensive bombscares, or a bit of both?
  14. Would also say AP needs a goal and pronto. Mind you he has had little service and probably needs a team mate closer to him. Our crosses have been hopeless. Seems we want to walk ball into net.
  15. Back on the green green grass of home will it be another win to make it 4 in a row?
  16. He's obviously not been listening to the be brave on the ball speech. Safety first every time. I'm sure everyone wants him to do well, but he has regressed. Perhaps another loan is needed.
  17. He does seem to have regressed in recent months.
  18. Wilson offers nothing, receives ball and passes back, seriously could have done that myself,
  19. More sense from JBA, not sugar coating the 2nd half performance.
  20. Motherwell fans have often been divided, the fans who would support the team in League 2 or non league and still cheer them on, and others who think we should be top 3-4 every year and doing well in cups all the time When we were in Administration in 2002 most were all united in their support for the team regardless of the circumstances . 2002-2005 was a good era to follow our club because of this
  21. Went exactly how I thought it would. A new manager trying to establish a completely new style of play while integrating new players up against a team who put 10 men behind the ball to frustrate . Is anyone REALLY surprised we struggled to break them down exactly as in the previous 2 games. Tell you what though I'd rather watch that style of football than what I've endured for the last 2 seasons.
  22. I was thinking the same. I also remember when they were introduced, there was talk about them being "all weather". The reality being as long as it's not hot and dry, wet, wet and windy or freezing then they are usuable. Not playable, but usable. I'd much rather have seen Ayr Utd and Thistle's terrible grass promoted last season.
  23. Just depends who you ask bud. I thought he looked poor. But there will be others on here who’ll say he played like R9.
  24. Their forum is on meltdown and blaming SOD for the defeat 🀣🀣
