  1. Past hour
  2. I used to stand in the East when it was terracing, and it was full of people who complained from kick-off to final whistle every week, regardless of the performance or result. I'm not sure if it has improved in recent years, or if it's just spread out more now that the fans occupy the entire stand rather than just half.
  3. Looking forward to see the formation. Looks interesting
  4. Well, we don't appear to have selected a defending one 😄
  5. Fair to say we have selected an attacking starting lineup.
  6. It is a “sort of” project as we’ve not played this way before. I do think it can work, Guardiola has showed that but he does have the world’s best defenders at his disposal. This style would work easily in womens football as it’s incredibly slower than men’s football. for me, I can’t help but think it’d be quite easy to play against at our level. You’ll have 2 opposing players shutting our defenders (who aren’t great on the ball) down immediately, and ….. it may come as a surprise to some folk …. But we don’t have the worlds best defenders at our disposal. lets see how it goes today again, let’s hope for an improvement on the past two games, that’s all we can ask for. still think we’ll win 3-0
  7. I've never thought the East to be that bad tbh although of course there's always a few folk that spoil it for others.
  8. Speaking as a native, West Central Scotland has never exactly been a hotbed of reason and sensibility.
  9. Keeping a hold of the ball isn't a " project ", it's how the majority of the world play now...even the limited time I've seen of the women's football shows this Whether our fans accept it is another matter, but giving the players and mgr a hard time won't help.
  10. It won’t be unique to us but we have never had a united support certainly not in my time supporting the club. There are guys in the East Stand that spend half the game trying to pick a fight with anyone who expresses an opinion that they disagree with and it inevitably descends into the usual “support yer team or fuck off tae Ibrox” replied to with “Ave paid ma money a’ll say whit a like” and such like. The Main Stand centre section is pretty bad for that kind of thing too. And of course it is reflected on here and other social media forums.
  11. Today
  12. I won't be there today but hopefully with it not being 30 degrees everyone will be a bit calmer. Plenty of support for the lads please COYW
  13. 👍 I think the vast majority of us are onboard with that tbh.
  14. So in short you’re asking for patience, calm heads and no abuse from the fans? I’m onboard with that but I fear others won’t be. That aside I think the young keeper will get another chance and start again today.
  15. I wasn’t moaning at all and what I was saying youve just said. I gave my thoughts on it and am willing to give this time as I said, and genuinely interested and sort of excited on what’s to come. I wasn’t being negative at all.
  16. We've had Alexander, Robinson, Hammell and Kettlewell and everyone of them got dogs abuse for the style of football they had us playing. Now we get a new manager in with new ideas, new style etc and we still have people moaning about it after 4 games and a lot of new players ffs. People need to get a grip and judge the team and how we are playing not now but later in the season, give the manager and his players time to implement his new style etc. Or they can always go to Killie or St Mirren if they are missing the kick and chase tactics.
  17. How do we know though? There won’t be a comparison? Unless he plays half the season one way and the other half the other way. we just need to see how it goes.
  18. 🤣🤣 hands up, I did feel myself transitioning into Enfield. “transitioning”…… jeezus, I am swallowing all this new football jargon 🤦‍♂️
  19. Personally I couldn't care less if we lose goals through the sweeper keeper project with one condition...it creates more goals than we lose through it. If there's a net gain then fine, if not then ditch it.
  20. I do agree, I think these goals are inevitable and when we lose them the frustration will be apparent. I’m willing to give this an acceptable amount of time and as long as we remain safe from relegation then I’ll accept the style of play, but if we are sitting bottom or 2nd bottom of the league 3/4 of the way through the season, shipping ridiculous goals due to our limited defenders , due to a “project” by our manager, with what awaits the future of the club/staff/support, in the lower leagues then I doubt I’ll be as patient. I’m not entirely convinced this defensive set up / style, is necessary and there is an element of vanity project about it but I do like the attacking winger element of what I think he’s doing? anyway, it’s something different so we’ll see how it goes.
  21. Stenny have just this morning announced a raft of short-term signings to make up the numbers for their remaining League Cup games. If we can't pump this mob comfortably, I’ll be both surprised and pissed off. https://www.stenhousemuirfc.com/2025/07/19/warriors-there-is-no-better-game-day-feeling-than-adding-players-to-our-ranks/
  22. Patience is required. It will be interesting to see us holding our nerve when we ship goals getting caught in 18 yard box. Those goals are obvious but not in my mind any worse than booting up the park only for the opposition run straight through us and score. There's a few similarities to York who last year moved to this style of play. At the start of their season it was very similar to what we're seeing but by the end of the season the ended up scoring 2x and conceded less. They lost the play offs due to a howler in their box inbounds the final game and many fans still felt the style was wrong. I'll be delighted if we can follow in their footsteps , increasing goals scored and moving us far further up the league. There will be massive moments of embarrassment but overall should see much better football being played.
  23. Yesterday
  24. I'll enjoy watching grown men get upset at the football, you don't have to "get" it to be fair. There were boos ringing out when Matty Connelly beat a Peterhead player on the 6 yard line with the ball at his feet. Boos! I laughed like fuck at that, I enjoyed it. Two mugs were punching each other over the goalie at the Clyde game. I laughed when I found out what it was about. I enjoyed the thought that two blokes can get so wound up they decided to fight like 15 year old boys. Come mid August, if we get when we get caught out, cos we will, and I see people purple in the face, I will laugh. Sure, I may change my mind, later in the season. Meh, we'll see.
  25. Sorry, but I don't get why anyone would enjoy that? I know its very idealistic and not attainable in the real world, but surely we want a united support. I'm not saying that some of our support don't deserve criticism at times but I can't say I'd ever actually enjoy that. Maybe just me.
