  3. Eh, cause you can play them in 40-50 odd other games!

  4. Would be fantastic if true. But again appears to be at odds with our CEO stating that no other club has shown that they are prepared to match the Celtic offer. I would like to think if there was an outside chance of someone like Man City paying us £3m+ and loaning us back for a season Flow and the Board would be all over that. Interesting week ahead. If he has not signed for Celtic tomorrow or Tuesday then I think that will probably be that.

  5. I can confirm this also. Been told by a club employee that Man City would be keen to put him into their academy and potentially loan back to us perfect scenario for us and builds a relationship for the future with one of the best teams in world football

  6. "Celtic FC is content that it has made a magnificent offer and it is now up to the agent and player to decide if the player wants to join Celtic." I still can't get over how utterly fucking mental this quote is. It's actually staggering!

  8. A small point perhaps but did Van Dijk not leave Celtic 4 years ago? Wages have moved on since then.

  9. It does not matter if Turnbull was offered 2k or 20k a week truth is he obviously did not fancy signing for Celtic as I suspect he could not get a guarantee from them that he would play every week, and maybe he also did not like the set up on offer at Parkhead More wages are a given wherever he goes so I suspect he wants to play every week and continue his development so fair play to him. All this magnificent offer and more wages than van dijk shite leaked by Celtic is to try to deflect the story away from them to hide the fact a player told them to jog on and never signed,

  11. Burrows talking about spending the money before the boy has even decided whether or not to go to them wasn't very clever.

  12. A disaster if we keep our best player! The idea that if a transfer isn't done by the middle of June we won't sell him is a bit daft. There has hardly been any transfer business done yet in England.

  13. There was something a bit off about Burrows' Twitter announcement. It was almost as if he was trying to force through the move to Celtic. Strange.

  14. If we didn't sell Turnubll this summer, we'd be just fine financially. (And it's not like we'd get no money for Turnbull in 12 months time). We just need to be careful we don't end up with a model that ships players out after a few games (or no games in some cases) rather than actually provide some benefit to the first team squad. This feels like we're tipping the balance too much to the cashing in side of our business plan. Of course we are a selling club - but the "grow your own" model is supposed to provide the core of our team too. If Cadden moves on in the summer, Campbell is the only regular starter left who came through the system. We might see Maguire, Scott, Semple, Cornelius etc. involved next season, but there needs to be a balance between on the field needs vs off the field finances.

  15. Oh, I think they have confirmed quite a lot.......Deal or no deal They have confirmed that Celtic met the Club's valuation. They have confirmed they have given Turnbull permission to speak to Celtic. They have confirmed they turned down unacceptable offers of around £2m. They have confirmed "achievable" add ons totalling £250k. They have confirmed that the sale is with a view to securing a future without debt . They have confirmed funds will be utilised to create a stronger base for development under fan ownership. . Confirmation that the deal would also provide additional income if Celtic cash in would not be amiss. And if it is all just about geeing up other interested parties, then suggesting add ons including a sell on clause had been agreed with Celtic would be a good move.

  16. I’d vote for him in that category. He’s a grade ‘A’ wanker who has zero respect for the club that gave him the stage to perform. He’s not fit to grace a Motherwell hall of fame. In fact we should tell him that he’s being inducted but send him the wrong date and venue. I’ve renamed him ‘Tom Void’ as he’s nonexistent to me.
