  1. Good luck to Peter Hartley, a big character, and Richard Tait who both leave with a bit of class. Good luck too to any young lads who are leaving i.e. Adam Livingstone, a Well fan himself. Hope he gets another club soon.

  2. Will never forget his debut, after only 2 minutes was roaring and shouting at everyone and organising the defence. Was never the same after his injury but cant fault his attitude or love for the club

  3. Robinson may be one of those dads where he is even harder on his own kid. You over compensate just to make sure nobody thinks you are favoring him. My poor son knows all about that after me being his coach for about 12 years

  4. You'll always have narrow-minded people who cry nepotism before they ever see a boy kick a ball. In reality, this isn't boys' club football, where the opposite is often the case - in professional football, it can work against the player. Most coaches are totally fair, but the Cadden boys always had to work harder to prove themselves to some people (and have proved their ability since, obviously, being established pros) and I know from my own boy's experience that most people either didn't know his grandfather had had a prominent connection with the club in the past or were fair minded and didn't care, but the only time it affected him is when one coach felt that he was only there because of his connection and held it against him. He survived that year thanks to the opinion of other coaches but it showed that "nepotism" tends to work against you, never for you. You can be sure that there will have been long discussions about Harry and that, because of family connection, the final decision will have been hard and will only have been based on football ability because they will have been acutely aware of the opinions he will be up against.

  7. Once again there is an obsession with everything retro. I like the blue and the overall design but the MFC lettering rather than the club crest looks amateur. I'd go as far as to say it looks shite. So I'll pass on this one.

  8. Financial prudence IS key. Think some need to harness expectations. I’m doubting much movement except those already agreed & on pre-contract. Promotion from the reserves supplementing squad make up. Now, if one of our assets were to go...
