Basic decision making right across the board was terrible. Manager trying to be clever with his selections, Gallagher's idiotic penalty give away, Long & Lang missing chances they should be putting away, Donnelly missing a penalty, Lang's daft challenge for a red card. Absolute self destruction tonight.4 points

It was a shocking performance, however some of the comments are way over the top. Making judgemental comments about new player’s after 45 or 90 minutes is pointless. Polworth made more chances than any other player in the Premiership last season yet he’s being unfairly criticised after one game. If they’re playing as poorly after 6 games then I’ll judge, but having watched the ‘Well for decades I know to have patience and to trust the manager, especially the current one. This is a team led by a damn good manager who finished in 3rd place last season. Calm down guys.3 points

Pish first half. County look fitter, sharper & hungrier and our shape is killing us. Whatever genius thought Turnbull would be effective on the left wing is a fucking idiot3 points
-
We have Campbell and Turnbull and one is on the bench and the other is out on the left. Just stupid. These are the players you build a team around. Also - can we start a GoFundMe to buy Ross Stewart?2 points

Grimmy is having a nightmare. I know its the first half of the first game but he is incapable of even getting a throw in right, even the commentator has mentioned it2 points

It is for me. Can't speak for Texas, though. They might have banned it because they don't want their freedom taken away by the SPFL covid protocols.2 points

A bit of overthinking on Robinson's part. Just play the same game as last year and make your decisions about who starts:Turnbull/Polworth, Seedorf/Hastie etc.1 point

I think the warning signs were there in pre season games, I am sure SR will turn around things fingers crossed but it’s certainly not a good start.1 point

I remember getting his autograph when I was about 9 or 10 (I'm now 68!). I was visiting my uncle in Law Hospital and Willie was a patient there as well having suffered a bad leg break. Long long time ago but I can still remember how pleasant he was to me.1 point

1. Donnelly for short term 2. Turnbull 3. Yes....seedorf and lang 4. Turnbull or anyone apart from Donnelly1 point

I suspect we don’t have one yet. Simple as that. We were all over LinkedIn last few weeks actively touting sponsorship. After tonight might be tougher.1 point

You have to assume he's not fit or carrying a niggle or something. Robinson must know what his record is when Campbell doesn't play. If he doesn't know it's P12 W2 D2 L8. Well now it's P13 W2 D2 L9!1 point

We were pretty hopeless, but still played one hundred percent more football than County. Sums up Scottish football really. Should have got at least a point, but missed decent chances and a penalty, you probably don't deserve anything. Going to be late for work now, and given the way things are going, I bet I get a right bollocking from the boss.* *As I am self employed I will need to give myself a good talking to.1 point

Won't say too much as I'm at work and didn't see the game but for the second time in as many games, I read here about how the opposition look fitter and sharper. Worrying...1 point

Grimshaw was dire,he gave away a foul inside 30 seconds and that set the tone for his performance, the less said about his distribution and throw ins the better.1 point

McGinley was the only player to come away with any credit...Grimshaw having the right back position sewn up is a worry as he is awful1 point
-
The two getting the most grief were actually our two best players - mcginley and seedorf1 point
-
McGinlay makes ZFA look like Roberto Carlos from what Ive seen. Hopefully its just time to settle he needs, cause at the moment he looks fucking murder1 point
-
Biggest shock of half is Mcginley is 23!!!!. Anti Polworth club will have had a field day watching that half....he is brutal. And I love Grimmy",s attitude but can we have an actual right back playing at right back1 point
-
The two full backs cannot use the ball. Grimmy's two attempts at crosses were comical and McGinley just hangs the ball up like a pub player.1 point

My first 'Well hero when I was a nipper: such an elegant player and a wonderful passer also. Met Billy (as his family called him) and his charming wife in Glasgow a few years ago and he came to our table for about ten minutes to chat to us about his time at Motherwell. Think he suffered a compound arm break against Rangers. Latterly he wrote poetry for an Alzheimer's charity and took an interest in Pat Quinn in his declining years. As others have said, a complete gentleman from a totally different age.1 point

I am always positive and expect Motherwell win somthing this season so I guess that makes me a happy clapper1 point

It starts when the all the players are younger than you. Then it's the managers that are younger than you. Then you see the surname of a player you recognise and wonder if it's their son - and it turns out to be their grandson.1 point

I know I'm getting old and nostalgic, but the old guard of sports commentators and presenters (Archie McPherson, Arthur Montford, Des Lynam, David Vine, Harry Carpenter, David Coleman, Bill McLaren, Ron Pickering etc.) were never bettered. Probably because the training ground for those guys doesn't really exist any more. Even David Icke was better than most of today's lot, and he's a certifiable loon.1 point

We have a winner was it the 1901 date that gave it away as a quick Google of 1901 brings up Brighton and Hove Albion1 point

Since my evil moderating powers extend to seeing a bit of info concerning where you post from I should immediately remove myself from the guessing game... I will however join those in congratulating you on your fine taste in Scottish football clubs and welcome you to the boards.1 point

The Auctioneers on Church Street if it's open, might need to phone ahead and book a table etc. If not then the Innes Bar or Caledonian probs best.1 point

Being shown live here as well. Not quite as early a start for me though. Looking forward to seeing the team. Hoping for a positive performance and any win will be a very good result.1 point

Their fans will crack up if they appoint a failed Oldham manager. There's absolutely no chance.0 points
