  1. Strange signing - I don't believe we needed any more strikers. A lack of getting the ball to the striker for clear opportunity has been the issue. Hope it works out.

  2. If you add the coefficient points of all 3 clubs it comes to 16. Good luck to Dundalk. The Moldovan mob were seeded higher but to get a Faroes team in the play off round is taking the piss a little when others are playing Spurs, AC Milan etc. I am glad we were in Europe and hope to be again soon. But that does not change my mind that UEFA it is one of the most self serving organisations on planet earth. Basically it all about how we maximise revenue and literally NOTHING to do with sporting integrity. I have never agreed with seedlings in cup competitions but the fact UEFA seed every round up to the group stages is ridiculous. And as mentioned to give Champions League losers multiple chances and an easier path. Taking the piss at this point......

  3. If it is off, just wait until Killie tell all the PPV buyers that they need to go down to Rugby Park and give their details to a steward, be told three days later that, oh actually there isn't anything about refunds in the T&C's but how would you like to buy again for a fiver?

  4. That set up is a disgrace, if a team qualifies for the CL, they should play in that till they are eliminated, all this, champions path and dropping into the EL is feckin nonsense, if you are out you should be out, so Dundalk were beaten in the CL qualifiers as were Celtic, so both should be out with no further European involvement this season. Its even applied after the CL group stages ffs, a UEFA carve up to pander to the top teams and TV companies. If that nonsense stopped there would be more places available for the EL, oh and while I am on my rant the CL should be for champions only or change the name.

  5. I wondered how long that would take. You can't just say that. It doesn't work that way. They dropped down from the Champions League qualifiers and then played clubs from Andorra, Moldova and Faroe Islands. Some of the clubs in that route are nowhere near the level of the clubs in the other route.

  6. Then don't watch. If you want entertainment, watch the English games on Sky, or the Spanish games. In reality I've been entertained in the traditional sense very little in my time as a Motherwell fan, which is to be expected considering the level we're operating at in the transfer market, but entertainment isn't the be-all and end-all for me. It's the team I support, I have an emotional investment in the club, and as such the money we have in the bank, and how sound a footing we are on is very much a priority. Honestly, I don't know a proper fan of any club who doesn't care about those things? Who just want to sit down, watch some exciting football, then fuck off home again. If you don't want to bother yourself with the details of supporting a club like Motherwell and you're just after pure entertainment, you're probably in the wrong place. Pick another team for that. Every Motherwell game is "entertaining" to me in the sense that I'm gripped by the action from start to finish. I kick every ball, I shit myself when the opposition gets through on our goal, and I leap from my couch when we squander a sure chance to score. To a neutral many of our games would be absolute dross, in the same way as I rarely find myself watching, for example, Accies play St Johnstone. To me that game would be boring. But to an actual fan of either club, it's their weekend. Again, if I felt about the club the way you seem to, which is not giving a fuck about the financial stability or how sound a footing we're on and only caring about being entertained during the 90 minutes, I'd probably watch another team. If it's entertainment you're after, there's certainly better out there.

  7. Possibly, but isn't calling the league and going by average points still fairer than piling on points that teams didn't actually earn?

  8. They'll need good luck to get to the bottom of this but there's no way the fixture will be cancelled and we'll be awarded the 3 points. Apparently Kilmarnock were advised to self isolate their squad by their local "Problem Assessment Group", whatever that is. They were part of that group. Therefore the SPFL had little choice but to agree to Killie's request. Given this postponement and the recent case involving St Mirren we now need consistency from NHS Scotland and the SPFL.

  9. Hylton seems like a good guy. It's shite he has to spend a winter in Dingwall but hopefully he does well and gets back to civilization at some point. Cole seemed like he couldn't wait to leave last December so it's a strange one he's back. He will improve us.

  10. Just my thoughts but I think the SPFL is shitting itself to award the points and set a precedent. If this was to happen to either of the OF in the next month or two when they had two or three games to play in the 14 day period leading to them losing 6 to 9 points it would just about hand the league to the other team - imagine the fucking meltdown! on the other hand postponing the games could see the other team creating a gap which if the league is cut short again would again hand the league to the other team - again total fucking meltdown! Best of all, if both teams had to isolate and then say Aberdeen & Hibs go top two then the league is called they would get the two European champions league spots next season - total meltdown from both the OF!! Now that would be a laugh

  11. I also have my doubts that he’s really what we need right now, as with yourself hope to be proven wrong. With Campbell probably on the way out we need to be bringing in two or three decent players over the next couple of weeks.

  14. Yep, he’s hardly played a game and in my view done very little wrong, I don’t get how he’s already a terrible player.
