  3. Maybe I'm a dinosaur but a move away from Fir Park gives me the absolute fear on a few different levels

  4. Break the covid guidelines clubs agree to. Get caught out. Suspended fine to Killie and points given to us. Appeal the decision and points taken back off but they now have to foot the fine. The Killie fans do a fundraiser to pay the fine. They then fall to a 1-0 defeat in the rearranged fixture many months down the line. Not going to lie that was massively satisfying for numerous reasons. Struggled to get to grips with that pitch and Killie were the better side for the best part, but in regards to chances we had the best ones and Cole should have buried both of his. Don't think Kelly was really tested until the last kick of the ball. Killie performance was a tad reminiscent of us earlier in the season where we enjoyed plenty of possession before the opposition scored. Great chance to pick up more points at the weekend.

  5. Eyes are bleeding after that. I’ve not seen a more disjointed woeful display in a long time which if we repeat we’ll get humped. Considering this is the 3-0 awarded game it was beautiful to watch as they will be sick. Looking forward to the rodent shagger popping up on here.

  6. I agree. For all its faults Fir Park still has character which a lot of the newer stadiums lack.

  8. Can we try Kelly in midfield … … best passer of a ball we’ve got in the team

  9. What a win that was! To play so poorly and win is remarkable. Beat Accies on Saturday and I think we can start looking up! Alexander is either really good or really lucky! Hope it’s both, but time will tell! Can’t say I’m loving the tactic of standing off wide players and letting them sling it in our box and back us to win the header every time, but it’s worked in a few games so far to be fair.

  10. never said we played well but there are people on here who expect us to play total football when our objective is to stay in the division. Whether you like the style or not I'll happily take s***e performances from now till the end of the season if we keep getting 3 points and then see what Alexander does with the squad for next season.

  13. Mugabi and Lamie's distribution is questionable but they win fucking everything in the air in the box.

  15. Fair to say a better result than performance. Fair to say I don't really care too much about that! That's maybe not actually fair as certainly defensively we for the most part pretty solid. Bit of a weak start and it took us a good while to do anything much at all offensively yet strangely enough we had arguably the best chance of the half with Cole's fairly weak effort after Watt's lay-off. Kilmarnock looked the better team and a bit like at Dingwall previously you hoped for something better in the second half. It gradually got a bit better though not to perhaps to the levels we've seen in spells in recent games. Cole forced a fine save from their keeper and it was a lovely bit of football and finish for what proved to be the winner. Thereafter it was down to the defence to see the game out which they did so generally pretty well. In many respects I thought it was something of a role -reversal to many of our games earlier in the season where we were the dominant side, had most of the ball, most of the corners and more efforts, but still managed to lose. Nice to be on the right side of that for once. Above all though it's such a vital three points given the respective placings of the side beforehand. It makes that league table look a whole lot better with the potential to improve on it still. I think we are good bit from the finished article but there are pleasing signs. It would be tempting to start to get ahead of ourselves and say we're going to finish here or we're aiming for there. But as we slowly tick off decent results against those around us like coming back from Paisley with a point. three from Dingwall, three from Kilmarnock and beating Dundee Utd at home there is no reason not to have confidence that we have the measure of the teams in our half of the division. And we have another opportunity to re-affirm that as soon as the weekend.

  16. Aye, the last thing we need to be doing is encouraging players to improve.

  17. Poor game on an awful pitch. Defended really well, especially Lamie who deserves some credit. Kelly didn't have a save until the last few mins for all the possession and crosses Killie had. We had the best chances in the game, Cole should have had yet another goal tonight! Another 3pts to get us out of the shit which is all that matters for now.

  22. We'll win this. Kilkie haven't created a clear cut chance and Mugabi will deal with crosses into the box all day long. My moneys on Long just to give this forum the two fingers

  23. Need to pin the Killie defence back and make space to work, leave our 3 strikers right up the park. No point them picking the ball up 20 yards inside our own half with their backs to goal.

  26. I am happy staying at FP, I feel a move to a new stadium at ravenscraig would be bad, no transport links whatsoever and local businesses near FP would suffer . I Also feel all new stadiums just look the exact same. Again that is just my opinion...COYW

  29. Fair comment about a futre move which is my preference, other things being equal. Yes it is zoned for recreational use but that can be changed, ideally through the next iteration of the Local Development Plan. I doubt that the Council would be overly concerned, providing that we had a replacement site in place ie. Ravenscraig. Housing would be the best option for a new land use. In reply to Joewarkfanclub surely the East Stand is way older than 30 years? I seem to remember it being in existence since the late 1950s, albeit with no seats.

  38. Hopefully this game comes too early for Tommy Wright to have had any impact on the proceedings. Its a massive chance to start heading up the table, if we take three points here we still have a game in hand over Killie and County below us, they also have an additional game against one of the Old Firm to negotiate. Naturally I hope we pump them due to the issue with Covid (where they would have you believe they were the ones wronged) but I would be delighted to bring home the three points in any manner. It will be interesting to see if any of the new guys will start to get integrated into the side, defensively I fear we'll have a lapse as per at some point but confident we will grind out a win. Similar to the Dundee Utd and County game I will go for a 2-1 win (Watt and Cole).
