Aye, we're well aware from reading your posts that the club brings you nothing but misery.6 points

After Patterson’s performance last night, SOD should cancel any summer holidays and prepare for a recall. The ex-R##### made more errors in each half of the game than SOD made in total in all his appearances. But haven’t heard mention of it anywhere.3 points

Hearts have danda as well so chances are spital may struggle for games. Lacks pace but good finisher. Wont miss his corners. Hope to get younger quicker player in.3 points

Thought Brodie Spencer kept the Golden Boy quiet all night. A tactical masterclass by O'Neill on how to counter Clarkes set up.2 points

Whit after our midfield non appearance against Aberdeen . Suns got to yer heed bud.😂2 points

Spittal has been impressive, particularly since Slattery's injury, which I I believe has a lot to do with the balance we've needed in midfield + coincides with when Bair has been a perm fixture. It was always going to be a Hearts /Hibs/Abderdeen type move. Fair play to him and wish him all the very best. He has been a rare commodity beyond his goals - a Motherwell player who's not spent weeks in the Physio room.2 points

Tierney's been on the bench at Walsall lately. Honestly, I've never seen anything from him that made me think he'd ever be a regular starter for us.2 points

Regardless of the repsonse, its a good strong statement from the club putting our position and that of the fans on record. If other clubs do likewise, the pressure on the SFA / SPFL will be ramped up. They cant ignore it forever.2 points

There was indeed. One that was mentioned was a decision to rule out a Hearts goal at Tynecastle. Its also important to note that the scope of the "review" was limited to decisions made, not those that were missed. The list was a sample and as such "hand picked". There was no mention, for example, of the last minute penalty claim against Aberdeen which was missed because the cameras were switched off before the end of the game. I would take that list with a spoonful of salt.2 points

Have you actually seen SO’D play for the past three years? If that’s who Scotland turn to to solve their right back issues then God help them. And I love how you refer to Patterson as “The ex Ranger” rather than “the Everton player” which he has been for well over two years now. Is that all you see him as? There must be some amount of mental gymnastics involved in supporting Scotland for those who just can’t see past their hatred of Rangers.1 point

I think some are missing the real point of Kelly being there completely. He's there as part of the goalkeeping team, with the sole purpose of keeping a goalkeepers 'union' in the squad. It'll take nothing short of a disaster or injury crisis for Kelly to actually play for Scotland.1 point

I forgot he played for us it was here today and gone tomorrow! I was watching the game thinking this guy looks familiar hahaha.1 point

Sorry but for me that's pish, Clarke is too loyal to players who should have been binned long ago, or playing guys like Gunn who wanted feck all to do with Scotland and only came grovelling back when it was obvious he was getting nowhere near the England team. Now we have Shankland scoring for fun this season getting dropped after 1 game, so it's not good man management but just bad coaching.1 point
-
How? If he was getting game time and international experience against better players etc then yes that would benefit him and the club. But being picked for squad after squad with no game time is beneficial to nobody. How can Clarke judge if a player is fit and ready for international football without Actually giving him a game and seeing how they cope, especially in games that don't matter.1 point

Wasn't in the squad for yesterday's match. Haven't seen anything confirming he's injured, but he clearly was.1 point

They Face Netherlands on Thursday which I don’t know if he can play in it because he will play Saturday1 point

Looking at the previous head-to-head stats, current form, and injuries/fatigue from international duties, this game has a draw written all over it.1 point

Currently on holiday with Mrs Grizzly so catching up with news...my buddies mate said he was really good for them so fingers crossed a good appointment1 point

Spittal left Dundee United 7 years ago aged 21. He is now 28 and in his prime footballing years. Comparing the 2 is pointless and unfair on the player. Given the that 7 years have elapsed and he has had 3 clubs since then its fair to say he is now much more experienced. Hearts are clearly getting a much better player than the one United had. As for spending the money on KVV, I think we have done that one to death. We need to maximise the value for money we can get. KVV no longer represents that due to what he now earns. Too much risk attached for the cost.1 point

That was also true when they signed John Sutton, so you just never know - all you can do is take an educated guess. I have no problem with players signing pre-contracts (although I think they are a weird an unnecessary mechanism in a system that is already weird), but I think it's always best for all parties if they aren't made public.1 point

I agree. I also like that we appointed the CEO and he is therefore more likely to work in the interests of the club/society than one appointed by an investor. Shrewsbury fans seem to love him and he appears a big supporter of fan culture / community. Seems like a good fit. https://www.shropshirestar.com/sport/football/shrewsbury-town-fc/2023/05/03/shrewsbury-town-fans-pay-tribute-to-departing-chief-executive-brian-caldwell/1 point

I understand the sentiment. But they didnt really die. Only Rangers did that. 😉1 point
-
Let's hope they sign too many and die again. They're a rancid club with an equally rancid fanbase.1 point

I've been downbeat about the lack of a permanent CEO and moaned about the issues that this has appeared to have caused. A consequence of this saga is that it has had me worried that the current Board would panic and appoint a balloon. However, Caldwell looks like an excellent appointment. Onwards we go.1 point

If Hearts are paying him a decent wage I don't think they will be happy with him spending 2-3 hours every day on the M8.1 point

That's the only way things will change, if the member clubs start challenging and calling out the incompetence shown by some of these VAR decisions. We always have a laugh at the ugly sisters when they "seek clarification " from the authorities but in all honesty more clubs should do the same.1 point
-
St Johnstone has also written to the SFA to complain about VAR. More grist to the mill as they say.1 point

Some substance in that, but having the money certainly helps. A lot though, is to do with final league placings. Hearts and St Mirren both kow they won't be relegated whereas we don't yet know for certain. This uncertainty will colour negotiations.1 point

Exactly, only a big blow if we don't replace Spittall, I remember the "Huge Blow" stuff when we lost KVV last season and we are the 3rd highest scorers in the SPFL this season. Players come players go. There will be more Blair Spittalls for us in the years ahead. We should get some money in for Lennon Miller and we move on.1 point

3-1 Motherwell. For no other reason than trying to generate a positive feeling around this fixture!1 point

I know not everyone on here is a Scotland fan, but cant you even hear yourself? I try not to bite with some of the stuff you post, but this is reactionary nonsense. Given the amount of injuries we have suffered with our players in training this kind of thing could easily have happened had international football not even be a thing. But seeing as it is and Im Scottish, I love to see our players being picked for Scotland (and any of the other countries our players play for). It shows they and we are doing well. Enjoy your summer watching cricket or whatever other meaningless shit you fill your time with.1 point

No harm to the lad but its best for both parties if he moves on. Too lightweight I'm afraid.1 point

Im really not a fan of all this I know something you don't know stuff. Pretty sure Casey was very late to commit to us last season. Just because folk night might have said no right now doesn't mean they won't re consider Staying up matters to me more right now than who is staying or going. This stuff shouldn't be getting leaked onto fans forums as far as I'm concerned. It hurts the club particularly as we aren't yet safe from relegation.. And anyone connected with the club who is leaking this info... They are an arse as far as I'm concerned.1 point

At least we got that time added on at the end....oh wait. Someone needs sacked for Saturdays shit show. If i made half as big a mess of my job as those clowns did i would be out the door, So why should they be any different1 point

I think this hinges on when the explanation of deliberate handball was given to the club. If it was at the time or directly after the match, you're dealing with utter incompetence. If it was at a later point, you're looking not only at utter imcompetence, but also the whiff of tracks being covered. The audio would prove that's not the case, obviously, so I'm sure there won't be a problem releasing it to the club if required.1 point

KvV was brilliant for 6 months. The chances of us getting him back and him also replicating that form are slim. Lets just remember the good times and move on.1 point
