It works both ways. If refs want to be treated with more respect, they should stop being fucking useless at their jobs.
They’d be quite entitled to say the same about many players.

Graeme Shine's bleating about getting booked for dissent at the weekend. Yeah, he was fouled but this constant backchat to referees has to stop.
I think that horse bolted about 40 years ago.

Any info on bounce game against Ayr Utd? Hopefully no injuries.
We won 2-1 according to thread on P&B. No injuries reported so far…

Even my heart isn’t deluded enough to say yes these days.

Much like corkage, I think we would be justified in charging them a breakage supplement or a scum tax until it stops happening.
We effectively do; they have to pay for all the damage, which they wouldn't have to if they stopped it happening. They just don't appear to be willing or able to stop it happening.

Is there any reason - legally or otherwise - why the club can't charge away supporters more than home supporters? Something the club should consider for those smelly bastards and the teddy bears too.
My recollection is that clubs have to charge the same amount to all supporters for "comparable" seating... i.e. similar view, facilities, legroom, etc. I'm sure we could make an argument that the south stand is the best we have and charge more for it, but no doubt other clubs would suddenly discover that their away fans' facilities were better too, and our travelling support would pay the price.

Marking at Shankland’s goal is horrendous, best striker in the league and he gets a free header, school boy stuff
Or perhaps he's the best striker in the league because he's good at losing his markers.

Of course the BBC is very selective as to which examples they print.
They printed all 13 of the errors that the review panel found. What did they miss out?

cup runs against lower league opponents are a must win for us…..
If that's your measure of managerial success, you must have really hated the last 20 years.

I think for the first one Bair would maybe have had more luck if he dinked the keeper like he did the other week.
Quite. I forget who said it on that fairly crap "Scottish and Irish players who were fabby dabby in England" series that's on the BBC just now, but in a one-on-one they were told to always dink the keeper, and it usually worked.

Fridays game could go any way.
Exactly so, and that's the joy of the Cup. I wonder how many ties have been contested by two teams who both won their previous games 5-0?

Yes - and 2 of the most glaring never even made into the highlights reel (unless I dozed off).
You didn’t, if it was the BBC highlights. Despite being much shorter, the Sky highlights managed to include more actual highlights, including the best angle of Blair’s first goal.

For me Daws is nothing more than a scout hawking players to any club who will take them. If Motherwell feel they need a head of recruitment etc then that person should be based at the club full time, know the players, set up etc and identify players that they think will fit our system and improve on what we have.
I dunno, most of the folk on here who apparently know all those things better than him are only based at the club for 90 minutes a fortnight.

The club would never touch that bastard Efford. He can go take a running fuck to himself. He was a disgrace feigning injury to force the club into letting him go.
If he can fool all our trained medical professionals into thinking he's injured, I know who I'd be letting go.

How many goals had Moult scored before he signed for us?
33 in his previous 82 appearances... spookily close to the 38 in 84 he scored for us. **

I see Paton is getting a hard time on social media and I obviously didnt see his whole performance, and whilst he should hit the target with the first one, the keeper does very well to deny him a shooting opportunity with the second.
The keeper does everything right, but Paton takes a touch too many and the last one is comically heavy. That said, there haven't been many Motherwell players I'd back in a 1-on-1 over the years, so I wouldn't be singling him out for this one.

Our problem started because we fannied about at a corner in the 90th minute. You just knew we'd give Hibs the ball straight back. We did it all game our possession play was abysmal. If we can't keep possession for more that 10 seconds we will always give the opposition a lifeline. Dreadful game management.
One man's fannying about at a corner is another man's defending in the opposition's half. It was a perfectly reasonable thing to try at that point in the game, we just made an arse of it.
