  1. Thought Brodie Spencer kept the Golden Boy quiet all night. A tactical masterclass by O'Neill on how to counter Clarkes set up.
  2. Rumours that Phillips from St Johnstone next to sign up with them. Hoovering up all the SPL talent by the looks of it.
  3. As much as the inconsistencies in interpreting the rules annoys me it's the time it takes that really boils my piss. I know both things are interlinked and sometimes a decision isn't always as clear cut as it seems but by christ a 3/4 minute lull in the game kills the atmosphere stone dead. More annoying if you're in the ascendancy at the time and you lose any momentum you have and yes, I realise that can work both ways but still shite from a spectators point of view.
  4. Just after you get a new a***hole to replace the one you've just had ripped.
  5. It's all fans on all the other teams forums are talking about and saying much the same thing as us. It's sucked the enjoyment out of the game for me. Maybe we all need to get together and do something about it like an open letter from every fan group to their respective club and the SFA telling them to get it in the bin. I'd even support a day of action by everyone boycotting a game one weekend to send a message. That's how f*****g annoyed and angry I feel right now.
  6. If I heard the audio I'd probably be twice as pissed off as I am just now.
  7. I'm actually at the stage of being so scunnered with VAR I'm seriously thinking about going back to watch games in the WOSL.
  8. Maybe one of the first things the new board and CEO in conjunction with the rest of the organisations within the club need to do is have a root and branch audit on everything within the club to see if any savings can be made in terms of staffing and efficiency. We are a fan owned Community club at the end of the day and that will mean money will have to be spent on community projects like the walking football team the power chair football team and like it or not Steelboy the Ladies set up which has the same right to be part of the club as the numerous boys teams. The alternative is we stop doing all the Community based activities, and channel all the money into the first team squad which might suit some but not others.
  9. Looks like the rumours about Lennon being a shoe in and being announced in the next couple of days might not be true then unless they're haggling over wages or else Flow has been reading all the Dons fans forums. No new manager bounce then.
  10. My Aberdeen supporting mate says if they appoint Lennon he's not renewing his season ticket and knows lots more who are doing the same. Said to him what if he goes on a long unbeaten run would you go back. Not a chance he says. Lennon is utterly despised up there for some reason.
  11. Or the team plane went via Lourdes.
  12. Ah right Forgot about that rule so makes sense although I did think the WOSL were now under the SFA and subject to the same rules but not sure about that.
  13. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/rrsGRNmVvVuqjH1N/ A strange one. Thought another League club would have snapped him up but a bit of a coup for Beith.
  14. And their fans are forever complementing the Bois for their noisy support and wishing their fans were as enthusiastic as ours.
  15. The patter in the dressing room from him should be interesting on Monday. Not sure we could get him permanently as he's quite highly thought of at Ibrox apparently and probably on a decent wedge but you never know, they might look to put him out on loan again and the prospect of first team football is a strong attraction (unless he's out of contract??)
  16. People (mostly on twitter and FB, not on here thankfully) have consistently criticised every decision he's made without taking into account what's going on in the background. If they thought about how many boots in the b***s he's had to contend with this season re injuries, budget constraints and last minute signing failures I wouldn't have blamed him if he'd walked away. Credit to him for walking out in front of the cameras and not trying to shift the blame when he got it wrong. People forget he's still learning the Management game. No-one should have to suffer the levels of online personal abuse he's had this season from so called Motherwell fans. The same hypocrites now waxing lyrical about him in the same places. Hopefully this win and recent performances will finally put to bed that he's "crap" the "worst manager in our history" "doesn't have a clue" (some of the nicer comments).
  17. I don't know if there is a minimum amount of contributions to allow you a vote. I only guessed that might have been why my mate didn't get the email when he gets every other one. As you say maybe working off different data bases or something akin to that. He's going to contact the WS for an explanation.
  18. I'm maybe wrong here and someone please correct me if I am but do you have to have made a minimum payment of £300 to the WS before you get a vote. The reason I ask is that a mate of mine who pays £5 a month and has paid that for 2 years so has only paid in £120 gets all the weekly emails but didn't get a vote. If that's the case it might mean a number of members might be in the same position and could be another factor in the relatively low voting figures.
  19. Watched him a few times this season and tbh I'd rather keep Bevis unless he's on daft money.

That's the figure I've got as well. To put it into perspective, if we could get every member to contribute £10 on average a month (and I know that figure includes junior steel members and people who don't contribute monthly and people who contribute substantially more) that would equate to £456000 pa. Could we achieve that sort of figure, probably not but not impossible either. Depends on how deep fans want to dig into their pockets during a cost of living crisis. Would that be enough to safeguard us in the medium to long term. Edit. Wellfan beat me to it.
  21. It would be interesting to hear from someone inside the club as to what they think is happening here. Are our training sessions too physical, not enough recovery time between games, pushing players carrying knocks too hard too soon or just plain bad luck. I'd like to think that we're sophisticated enough that we wouldn't risk players carrying knocks. I know that Kettlewell has had them in the day after games (particularly after a poor performance) so perhaps that's a factor. Maybe our guys are so competitive that they boot f**k out of each other in bounce games. Do we need to look at warm up routines, again that should be a given if we're a professional outfit. Maybe it's all down to bad luck or a combination of everything.

I wasn't meaning "proper"shares more a novelty type of thing that might appeal to the type of Ex Pat audience who would pay £5/£10 for a certificate they could put up in their man cave to impress their mates. As I said a Spanish team did something similar a few years ago and raised a fair bit of cash from all over the world. Even if we made a few grand from it.
  23. No they don't provide any funding to the football club but what I meant was that they do much the same Community based things that Kibble do for St Mirren. I know that many of the ball boys and catering kiosk staff at the Midden are all "Kibble kids" and their football academy is part funded by them in return for some of their kids accessing their facilities. How much that actually amounts to in £'s I've no idea but don't think it will be a fortune. Anyway probably not the correct thread for this so apologies to anyone looking in expecting posts about our manager.
