  1. This is true, but no idea if he has left.
  2. I bought his training shirt and shorts with initials GC printed on it in a charity shop in Stirling. Shorts still had the tag on them. Make of that what you will... Haha.
  3. Very briefly I met Mark McGhee last year at a Scotland training session at Celtic Park, it was just after Stuart McCall left. I asked him if he was going to be the next Motherwell manager. He looked at me and said that's a hard job that. He was definitely ruling himself out then. The Motherwell jobs probably just as tough 12 months on albeit we've arguably got some better players and potentially there might be some cash to splash. Neither for or against McGhee coming back, we were great his first season in charge. McGarrys goal at love street set us on our way.
  4. On train to edinburgh, couple of cans and then away for a pre match pint. Looking forward to the game hope we go with ainsworth & Johnson on the big tynecastle pitch.
  5. Celtic Motherwell Aberdeen Ross county Dundee United Hearts St johnstone Partick Hamilton Dundee Inverness Kilmarnock Got a feeling ICT will struggle this year, John Hughes said something along the lines of this is as good as it gets for a club like Inverness in terms of domestic league seasons, just feel they will do a motherwell this year. Bottom two.
  6. I had to go from large to XL. In fairness I've felt the last few large shirts over recent seasons to be tight. Might just me me getting bigger.
  7. Watched this game on the worst stream ever.
  8. I much prefer the strips without a sponsor. If it came down to it I'd pay more for a sponsor free shirt. Ordered two custom made t shirts today from boots with the motherwell posters used to advertise the playoff. There doing 25% off the now. I liked the one of the well player standing tall over Ibrox with the Rangers player on his knees the best. Was only fitting that the night turned out just like the poster.
  9. Good luck to John Sutton. Sad to see him go.
  10. Excellent thanks, though the post match beers didn't match Thursday nights quantities. I made work on Monday. Yourself?
  11. Chatted with carswell briefly at sponsors dinner and it was clear he didn't rate baraclough, commented on how he'd not had two straight games since McCall left, stated if we got rangers in a playoff he didn't fancy our chances at Ibrox before confessing to be a rangers fan. Total opposite of the message conveyed in lee erwins post match interview at the weekend. Glad he didn't feature over the two games. At least he was honest I suppose.
  12. Yeah, managed to get one from another season ticket holder who had a spare. 20 mins before ko right enough, but was still very welcomed.

    Ticket

Looking for 1 spare ticket if possible for ma sister, travelling from stirling so tight for time to catch ticket office. Already got mine. Can anyone help?
  14. Delighted!!! Still need another goal tonight!!!! Confidence really shineing through after a nervy start. We need to score next I feel!
  15. My dad was at fir park today, queued for over an hour got home tickets sorted. Asked about away tickets and was told no details yet. By the time he got home to stirling and got round to checking website it was too late in the day to head back to motherwell. Pretty frustrating - he tried calling but told to try calling back tomorrow. Any well fans in the stirling area planning on watching at the pub Thursday? Got a feeling there all going to be hoaching with rangers fans.
  16. What a shitty evening. Between twitter updates, uefa.com updates, text messages & some dire bbc radio Scotland updates, we are ultimately beaten by a team I canny pronounce (who boasted 22 travelling fans) and are famous for the human toilet goal celebration. 3 penalties in two games, conceding virtually 3 last minute goals. An absolute baws result. After our stint in Portugal I reckon we'd have a better chance at beating them at foot golf Baws, shit and crap. Ma wife's giving me a hard time for going mental at the laptop the night. Just a shitty night. Canny wait for the st mirren game now. Fed up of this Europa league pish.
  17. After weeks of World Cup, at last the day has arrived. Motherwell in Europe again. Really looking forward to the game and the start of the new season.
  18. Great goal! Assist to Kerr!
  19. That's excellent JT. Similarly to you I'd like to express my thanks to MFC (Leeann Dempster, Alison Wallace and John Sutton in particular) for their hospitality yesterday. At the start of the day I had planned to take up my usual seat in the Davie Cooper stand but after a chance telephone call with Leeann Dempster on Saturday morning my dad, my five year old son and I were invited as guests into the board room and relocated to centre stand seats for the afternoon. My son was diagnosed with Leukaemia just over two years ago and is currently in his final year of chemotherapy. He's been to a handful of games this season and enjoys going, only down to the temperamental Scottish weather/ climate isn't always possible for him to attend. However it was a really nice experience for him yesterday. Special thanks to John Sutton who gave up the best part of 30 minutes after the match yesterday to chat, sign autographs, have his photo taken and even take a couple of penalties into my son on the pitch. Highlight was when my wee boy nutmegged John when he took a turn in goals. Managed to capture all this on video to look back upon in years to come. A really nice surprise and brilliant gesture from MFC. As a result I've had a very excitable wee boy singing the big John Sutton song ever since.
  20. Llanelli away. Had to check teletext the next day for the score
  21. Having watched Gunnar get in the way of some shots v Germany in an earlier post - the YouTube video, I thought I'd go watch some more Gunnar saves. Came across a quality wee video of Zlatan Ibrahimovic cheekily throwing the ball at Gunnars face in an international game.
  22. Interesting article in the sun today. In topic with some of the recent threads on here. I read John Davies name several times in the worst well starting 11. We can assume from Shaun's quote in the Sun "he only got a gig because his brother was the manager!" that that's another vote for John Davies. Still was a pleasant read that one of our former players whilst having no time for the Well hierarchy of that era looks back fondly on the supporters. Was one of my favourite players at that time, I'm sure his penalty record was immense (bar the one he got to take twice at Tannadice)
  23. There were a couple if ocassions yesterday we overplayed it, opting for another pass rather than hitting shots. Would like to see more long range shooting...... Unless your Steve Jennings! (that was some effort in the 2nd half)
  24. My mates a Sunderland fan and we've been texting back and forward songs about players- he gives me a Sunderland player and I make up a song- I gave him cassagola and he made up this song... Made me laugh..... Cassagolda had some cola then he had some chips, then he bought some Vaseline and rubbed it on his lips. His lips, his lips, Esteban does flips, he has a horse and keeps some ducks, they call him cassagolda. Thought I'd share it.... Anyone got a better song???
