  1. If we go down I genuinely don't think we'd get back into the Premiership for a considerable amount of time. We'd go down a similar path as Livingston have. I can see the money retuning to the top flight when Sevco and the Edinburgh teams return and the gap will widen. Motherwell would get swallowed up and could be forced to go part time. It really could be that bad. Anyone who things it wouldn't be too bad and could help bed in some long term changes aren't considered that this would be a complete and utter disaster in every single way for Motherwell FC.
  2. I'm the yo-yo supporter. Had a season ticket for years, been to lots of away games including European. I'll then maybe sit out for a few years and got to one or two games then come back and watch 5 games back to back. I'm sure there are lots like me. IF we go down. I'll be really honest and say that any interest will disappear and I think I would jack it in. I'd check the league table every few months but that would be it. Relegation would be catastrophic for Motherwell. Make absolutely no mistake about that. The league will get a massive boost when Hearts and Rangers (maybe) come up. A sponsor will be found and the press / media might even try talking up the game. We'll be gone and forgotten.
  3. Have you ever looked back on your life and thought how did that just happen? Say you hadn't registered the welltrust fc domain name or didn't book those flights to Austria. When did it sink in how far you've come along? What do you imagine yourself doing ten years from now?
  4. Can we get a billboard with details of the next game like the one near Strathclyde Park? Do you remember the skippy song on the way back from a pre season friendly at Stranraer?!

  6. LOAN: Conor Grant has been loaned to Scottish side Motherwell until the end of the season. #efc Confirmed on Everton Twitter page
  7. Conor Grant (Everton) also heading out. He's off to Motherwell for the remainder of the season From Twitter
  8. Watch young Dom Thomas after he wriggles past 3 player and sets up Sutton. Love the way the youngster "takes the shot" with big John as he swipes his left boot through fresh air. When the ball hits the net he throws both arms in the air as if it was him that scored! Ross County is a massive game for us in 2 weeks time. That fortnight will be a great help for Baraclough allowing him to get his stamp on the team and get our fitness and injury list improved. I'm quietly optimistic about the future actually. Throw in a few new faces and we'll push on.
  9. I got up to 32 then ran out of time. To be honest, I'm not sure I'd have got many more with any extra time!
  10. Steve Jennings would be just what we need. Now available!
  11. Yeah that's right. Remember we announced the signing of Mike Grella from Leeds only for it to be cancelled due to him playing for 2 clubs already.
  12. Team for tonight: Twardzik, Reid, Hammell, Ramsden, McManus. Sutton, Lasley, Francis-Angol, Law, Ojamaa, Kerr
  13. fitness was lacked more. Sharpness will come. we'll either go out on a whimper or push them to the side by a few clear goals. Just hope everyone playing is fired up for it as much as we are concerned.
  14. I'll second that. I used to like reading through a match if I'd missed it to get an idea of what was going on. All that was lost when Shoutbox came along sadly. If I'm viewing from mobile I can't see anyone of the Shoutbox chat without switching to the non mobile version. Compost corner used to be good for a wee read. Now, content is low and you need to log in to see it.
  15. We're playing at Livingston I believe
  16. Closed door friendly lined up for tomorrow. Gaffer looking to assess Clarkson with the intention of handling out a short term contract
  17. My investigative skills have unearthed we may be about to bring in Dominic Poleon on loan. time will tell....
  18. Okay, so Liverpool started singing it from the 50's or 60's if Internet forums are to be believed. Been watching highlights from our Division 1 league win in 1980/81. Noticed a rather vocal Motherwell crowd belting ynwa at full time as part of the celebrations. So how did this come about? found it curious that Celtic fans seem to have started singing it around the same time when you read up on it. Did they hear a small group of Well fans and nick it for themselves? Or was it more a copycat thing by our lot at the time. So any of the auld yins on here know how long we were singing it before then or able to give any more details?
  19. Tony Asghar will represent @MotherwellFC at @EuropaLeague draw as his role as Euro sporting coordinator his 11th attendance for them

  22. Pat Nevin http://www.motherwellfc.org/reports9900/hearts2.html Guess some people on here will recognise the roving reporter.
  23. Would be great if we could support our fellow Steelmen and arrange a pre season friendly against Corby Town. The atmosphere at last years English lower league friendly was superb. I'm sure someone will post the details from Twitter etc it's nice to be nice sometimes!
