Paton is an okay midfielder without really specialising in anything. He doesn't do the dirty dogged midfield work, he doesn't play defence splitting passes, he doesn't carry the ball particularly well, and his finishing is poor. He's missed some chances in the past month or two that Spittal would devour. He's decent and tidy and links the play, but that's about it.

People are entitled to voice their concerns over what they feel to be inadequate management. The overwhelming majority of it is done constructively.

Completely agree with some of the above posts. I just turned 34 and whilst I don’t go to any games I support my team just as much from afar. I spent a few months in California there and I was up at 7am every week to watch us get absolutely scudded and put in awful performance after awful performance. These days it feels much more like a chore and something I do out of necessity rather than enjoyment. I don’t think it’s an age thing. I think the mediocrity and staleness of it all is just getting to people, and as someone above said it looks like it’s going to be that way for the next while. Oh well, Aberdeen Hearts and Celtic up next.

A bitterly disappointing night after the momentum of pumping Ross County. We all thought that it would be the turning point in our season but tonight is a big wake up call. We're still in a relegation battle and as another poster said if we finish in the playoff spot, do we have what it takes to beat teams like Morton with our top flight survival on the line? Three very tough fixtures coming up before a trip to Livi. Any points from those 3 games will be a big big bonus.

He's been okay, fired that fantastic ball over the top to Bair, but he's still not good enough to be consistently picked week in week out. I believe we'd fare better with one of the loanees.
