  1. Absolutely crazy decision taking Polworth off for O’Hara.
  2. Londonwell

    Vs Hibs

He came on, scored a goal, should have had a penalty after using his strength to win the ball and drove into the box and generally looked capable of keeping the ball under pressure at a time when that was exactly what we were needing. By no means the finished article but he’s playing for Motherwell, sakes. Really not sure what you are expecting? It’s a game all about opinions but it’s hard to get away from yours being wide of the mark here.

    Vs Hibs

Out of interest, how did you come to the opinion that Hylton looked woeful when he came on? Seems like a wild take to me but there we are.
  4. Was Seedorf injured or just knackered? He looked absolutely done after 35 mins. Very good majority of 1st half and very poor all of the 2nd. Far too easy for Celtic to score some of those goals but ultimately they have much better players and thats what makes the difference. In desperate need of a striker to step up and make the position their own.
  5. You think our season will be defined by the future of David Turnbull, yet your predictions with and without him only have a difference of one league place and both are in the top six?
  6. Aye, seem to remember there being a stooshie at the time about that one. We also exploited a loophole with Chris Porter's transfer, which Mcghee admitted to at the time. I obviously hope we get cash for Cadden but we aren't really in a position to grumble too much if we don't.
  7. Not sure i'm following you with this one. Wheres the foul play in that scenario (perhaps i'm missing it) ?
  8. I didn't say it wasn't, in fact, I actually run social media channels for a 'company' so fully aware of how these things work. My point was more that the club has a very clear social media strategy and hooking up with a company who is so successful on that platform is only going to increase that exposure.
  9. Facebook is of course where Paddy Power have a big presence.
  10. It is tricky, you’re correct and it’s why I said over on P&B (appreciate you may not read that forum) that I can’t expect the club to base their policies on a idealistic world view of a supporter such as myself.
  11. You not having a gambling problem isn't a particularly good argument for not objecting to gambling sponsors throughout football tbh. I said my piece over on P&B so won't say too much here but there is a faint whiff of hypocrisy of pushing suicide awareness etc. and taking coin from companies who, in my opinion, purposely ingrain themselves into deprived areas, where these problems can be prevalent.
  12. Ross McCormack 2nd time around? I'm sure most us thought it was a fantastic signing until we saw him waddling about that left wing very briefly.
  13. Vigurs is mad for the bevvy. Out in Inverness smashed all the time.
  14. Aye looks like there's next to no chance he stays, which is a pity. If Celtic or any other Scottish club want him they should have to pay a premium as previously mentioned. Hopefully we get a decent wedge which can go towards infrastructure but for us fans it'll be a loss not seeing him do his stuff until January.
  15. You're all over the shop as usual mate. Let's move onto happier matters...like David Turnbull.
  16. In what way does discussing whether or not Celtic could afford Turnbull after paying out on compo claims show any sort of respect to victims?
  17. It's nothing to do with an idea of protecting Celtic, it's about respecting those who have been abused. As i've said there may be a place for it, this isn't it.
  18. Lads if you want to discuss this go create a thread about it. Discussing these issues in the same breadth as posters claiming that Celtic couldn't afford one of our players because of it, is insensitive in the extreme. It's not the place for it.
  19. What does any of this have to do with David Turnbull? Look at the thread title.
  20. Cretin. The matter will be dealt with by the appropriate people. Abuse victims and their families don't need the likes of you using their experiences as one-upmanship on a football forum. It's hardly the correct place to 'discuss' these things on a thread about football transfers is it? Have a word with yourself.
  21. Re. Motherwell for some reason i've got a feeling we're going to have a really positive season next year, not really sure what i'm basing that on but there you go. I'm moving back home after 5 years away so will be the first time in ages that i'm able to get a season ticket and regularly attend games. To say i'm buzzing for it is an understatement- maybe that's where my baseless optimism comes from.
  22. But you're comparing apples to oranges there. Midfield is our strongest area, if any of the Killie players mentioned played centre mid they wouldn't be near the team, however they all play in areas that we're particularly weak. Unfortunately for Turnbull we have some excellent and established midfielder's but his time will come, I would think.
  23. I'm not going to drag this thread any further off track with your clutching at straws exercise. We're both agreed Turnbull should have been in the squad, there.
