  1. My criticisms of him are based purely on last nights performance. The fact he is one of the more skillful players adds to the frustration!
  2. Worst man on the park IMO. Didn't think he looked fit, interested or able. He should have been getting stuck into that crowd, but his big feartie performance was a disgrace. A couple of nice flicks in the first 10 minutes was his only contribution. He'll need to come onto a game soon, or he'll be out the door. I hope he does, he seems to have the ability...hoping that last night was as bad as he gets.
  3. What???? O'Brien put in the most useless, gutless performance I have seen in a long long time. He'll be lucky if he plays again after that. Same for Lasley.
  4. Agree with this, he won't be missed, hardly kicked a ball for us and is easily replaceable. No tears shed here, Falkirk are welcome to him.
  5. Get Foran tae feck. Useless waster that he is.
  6. True, I remember said scoring drought! Healy, despite his NI goals, does appear to be shite, can't understand why teams keep spending money on him to sit on the bench.
  7. I reckon Sanchez' record looks better since he did a decent job with NI, but that was pretty much on the back of Healy's goals. He'd probably get the team up for a few games, but can't see him actually taking us anywhere. He'd do no better than a Jeffries, or a Williamson...he may be a big name, but he's in that same mould: dull, uninspiring, semi-effective, non-progressive. His Fulham team was utter gash...look at what a good manager does with pretty much the same squad.
  8. Don't fancy Sanchez at all. He's a big name, but his teams are bloody awful to watch, and for me it would be a step back the way. Our current squad has fared much better when trying to actually play football. Sod this blood and thunder nonsense. He wouldn't be someone to take the club forwards that's for sure.
  9. OK bye then! You'll fit in nicely with that crowd with thinking like that.
  10. If you think England is different, then Dutch footy is a million miles away from our game. Having been to some games in the lower reaches of their top division, it bears no resemblance to Scottish footy at all.
  11. Still can't get with the Nijholt fanboys. Someone who hasn't played or coached in the country for about 15 years would be disasterous.
  12. I have to say I'm totally underwhelmed by Nijholt's coaching record. I see nothing that says he'd be a good choice as our new manager. Sure, the guy was a great player for us, but that should have no bearing on him getting the top job at Motherwell. If he hadn't played for us, and his record was posted, we'd all be saying no chance. I also don't buy the 'he has loads of contacts in Holland' argument. Firstly, this is all really just made up. Secondly, we're not going to be attracting players from that league. I can see the whole thing ending up like Kampmann mark II. Saying that, out of the available managers, I'm really not sure who I'd go for. Not McCall, he'd be my worst nightmare! We need an experienced British manager who can steady the ship, as in the upcoming season any one of about 7 or 8 teams could quite conceivable go down.
