  1. I agree McCall hasn't been as effective in the signing department as Jim Gannon, but our cloth has also been cut accordingly. Bottom line is, we need an anchor man in the middle of the pitch. Are we going to get anyone as good as Jennings though?
  2. After last night, I'm not overly enthused for Saturday. I would like to see this team play Randy Hately Hutch Ramsden Angol ----- Lasley---- Carswell* ----- -------------Law----------------------- - ------------------------- Ojamaa----- --Murphy ----------------------------- ------------Higdon-------------------- *Or maybe try Hammell in there again. Ideally we need to be trying to find a replacement for Jennings in January if possible. Last night showed we need an anchor in the middle of the pitch to break play up, and get the ball back in our possession.
  3. Also, short corners... Showm against Sevco last night, and Aberdeen last week - we can't deal with them. It's poor and very unprofessional.
  4. We either need to play to the strengths of Chris Humphrey (knock it over the top for him to chase) or not play him at all. He is a luxury we can't afford. He does not have the ability to beat a man, and get a decent ball in - which for me is the definition of a winger. There is little point in bombing forward and checking back every single time, teams wise up to this. I'm surprised he never checked back when he was going off the pitch when subbed. It speaks volumes for his lack of ability when Omar came on and done more in the last 10 than he managed all game - and he's well past his best. Also, why on earth would you take off Tam Hately? His delivery from corner's, and potential threat from set plays, are one of our strengths as a team, and you take him off and replace him with Murphy? Maybe one of the first games I've saw both full backs subbed too. We looked out of idea's int he final third. Knocking the ball side to side is not going to get you goals. We have a decent presence in the air in the form of big Higdon yet we seldom give him the service. Pointless playing him if we are not going to use that massive part of his game. Heartless performance. If we play like that week in week out, we are going to find it hard to remain in the top 6.
  5. I had the start of one I never finished but by the time I remembered to finish it we were out of europe. To the tune of Katy Perry - Teenage Dream. We are M F C, and we're living the euro dream We're going to pump your burds (and drink your beer, fuck your team and we'll never be back )... or something better Always next year!
  6. I was never Crags biggest fan, at least in his last season (season and a half), due to his constant long ball to no one. However, as the weeks progress it's becoming more and more evident that we are missing his experience, and organizational abilities at the back. We were also caught out more than once with short corners - at this level that's just not acceptable.
  7. We will pump Rangers. Nae worries about that. As regards Celtic...If Saints can get a result at home, then so can we. They have a big euro game around then too.
  8. Talking to a few Celtic fans in work, and they are really not looking forward to coming to Fir Park. Anything more than a draw would be a gigantic bonus at this stage.
  9. Snatching a draw from the jaws of victory yet again. No way we should have walked away with anything but 3 points from this game. Woeful end to the match.
  10. Broon has always been a wee snake in the grass. McCall should hopefully sign on again, which makes things easier for other players to commit when they know the manager is happy to be here. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/motherwell Hoping Murphy and Hately will renew. Randy, I fear may be off on a pre contact during the next window.
