  1. This for me is actually a factor as much as anything else for his recent performances. I think he's burnt-out. We've all seen what Cadden is capable of on his day but he's been off the boil for a while now. His Scotland call-up, as great as it was for him, probably couldn't have came at a worse time as it meant him being in South America for nearly a fortnight rather than getting a full summer break. Factor in that he's been a regular starter for us for nearly 3 seasons now as well as away with Scotland U-21s during any international break and you can perhaps understand why he's hit a slump. Given that we have put an emphasis on beefing up our squad over the summer, I think it would make sense to start actually using some of these players and give him a rest for a few weeks.
  2. Seen him play earlier this month for Airdrie and whilst I appreciate I'm basing an assessment on that game alone, I wouldn't be expecting to see him in our first team barring any emergencies for a while yet.
  3. Given how poor we've been in recent weeks and the likelihood that the game will be a scrappy affair, I probably wouldn't turn down a point to take us into the break and a chance to re-group.
  4. Looking at our post-break fixtures, I'd say the next few games will define our season. Few good results and top 6 is still a definite possibility whereas if we don't arrest our current form then we could be bang in trouble with a few tough fixtures prior to the split.
  5. I know that for the ESPN Premiership games it is going to be the standard SKY production with the same pundits/presenters so my money would be on a similar arrangement for our league, which i assume would mean the old school team of White/Nicholas/Provan etc.
  6. Likewise i thought he would be well out of our league. Manager who always impressed me when he was at Watford and would be my preferred choice out of the list.
  7. Graeme Smith for me. Wasn't his biggest fan but he's been consistently good all season and some of his performances earlier this season in particular e.g Nancy away were brilliant
  8. Was reported a couple of weeks ago before we signed Fraser, just another column filler by the sun was my initial reaction when i read it. Could be wrong though.
  9. Our 'support' at home is pretty shocking most of the time but any game i've watched elsewhere in the SPL as a neutral has been just the same, i'd say it's a scottish thing more than just a 'well thing. We probably get a worse reputation also because of the short proximity between the east stand and the pitch.
  10. Might be the only one judging by the early voting but i thought Stevie Hammell was having a cracker until he went off. Really supported the attack well in the 1st Half.
  11. To be honest, and i don't mean to sound disrspectful to the players mentioned, i don't know who would take them. It's hard to get rid of any players in this, or any, window when they're still under contract unless it's as part of a swap which i think McGhee might have tried in the Cowie deal. The only actual offers we're likely to receive are for our 'star' players.
  12. Fairly sure i remember reading on the Inverurie Website that segregation will be in place.
  13. I know there's a massive sports bar in Haymarket which shows pretty much any live sport that's on in some area of the pub or you could try the Scottish Pub called the Rob Roy which is in Paddington (Edgware Road tube station's the nearest i think) are the best options i can think of.
  14. I remember when Falkirk gubbed us at Fir Park this time last year and he looked a class act that day. Not sure what he's like on a consistent basis though as i don't think think i'd ever actually heard of him before that.
  15. A few players off the top of my head who shouldn't be that far off our budget: Steve Banks (out-of-favour at Hearts, would provide more experienced back-up to Buzz) Dave McKay (always looked a solid, reliable defender which is something we've needed this season) Gordon Greer (similar to McKay, think he's out of favour at Doncaster) Graham Dorrans ( good creative wide player who would perhaps be available on loan from WBA) Patrick Cregg (out-of contract i think, looked a good player with a nasty streak in him that we don't really have) Simon Lappin (already know he can do a job for us , worth another try as he's not figured this season and we need something on the left-hand side) Stephen Dobbie (Consistently prolific in the 1st division, should be capable of a step-up)
