I keep watching goal difference, and ours should be better, it is at mid-league level. Suely the forward line is more where the problem lies. I'm not defending the back, but a few more goals for would have made a bigger difference.

O for an old-time outfield captain who would take them by the scruff of the neck and lead by example. I just wanted to see some urgency when Hearts scored their first goal, but they don't seem capable.

I said last week that these draws are dangerous and here we go again, this time dropping a place with Ross County having a game in hand. Despite being told we're financially strong, if we go down that strength will be short-lived and I'm not sure we'd get back up as soon as we think. This was once a tram that could go toe to toe with the best of them.

Another single point, and I hate them because too many, like we're getting this year puts you in that second bottom playoff that's far too risky. Better to be bottom and take all the stress out of it for the poor punters.

It's becoming depressing reading today's posts after such positive pre-game comments from the manager. I hope there's a transformation in the second half.

I hate to rain on the parade, but all these single points now have us, in my opinion, in the worst relegation position more than being at the bottom where your fate is known. What's clearly missing is an integrated team plan, so we're not confronted with the defence doing well but the forwards failing, or where we don't know from one game to the other which Kelly will show up, and then the forwards scoring but the defence has more holes in it than a sieve. Surely it's management's job to bring a team onto the park that understands and can pull it together occasionally. And I think it's Rangers next!!

It might be the end of SK, but who'd select the next lamb to be slaughtered? I've never agreed with fan ownership at this level, and our "leadership" havened even been able to get a decent replacement for Burrows, so while we moan about what's happening on the park, that's the tip of the iceberg, in my opinion. Where there is no vision the team will perish.

I've been offline for a while, but I'm not surprised to see so many after the manager's head. It's been happening regularly now for a few years. So my question is, who's been responsible for finding these next managers, and what's the reason for so many failures? A supplementary question would be how is Robinson doing so well with St. Mirren? It seems to me there must be as much responsibility higher up that perpetuates where we seem to be heading again this year.

This topic can be a laugh when the job is still open: it's like a shooting gallery with pot shots at every name that comes up. What worries me though is how you get a dressing room full of players who don't show any guts or leadership. How does any manager get them working when they have a contract-long pay packet guarantee? It doesn't matter who the manager is, if the players have decided they don't need to work, how do you fix that??

It doesn't matter who the manager is, the tone here is that the players are useless, so at this late date in January, how will that help any manager, Hammell or not?. We have a structural management problem, and with Burrows going it will now clearly lie with the board and the society. The villains are those who signed all the dross you all hate, so the issue is more fundamental than the manager.

If it's not Hammel, who else is there, especially after what Hibs have done today?

Just a question: how many of these players have been signed by SH, and are any of them any kind of improvement? Second question: how much money do we have in the transfer kitty, and what ability of player can we expect to recruit from that?

I think Stevie will do the best with the players on hand, but the club needs to get some proper recruiting done.

The sad thing is Stevie having to watch the defending, since he did that very well for us as a player. Surely they've got somebody for January. There's only so much he can do with what's there.

This should have happened earlier since the entire year has been a disaster. Anyone who thinks they were top six with the 2022 performances was deluded, so with this fiasco there was no other option, no matter how it was worded. If the Board and the Trust have any notion about a successful future they should not be looking at the lower reaches for a quick fix. What's needed is someone with proven experience and we need to understand that adequate compensation needs to be on the table. This was once a very respectable team that played good winning football, but this is a very different world, football included. It's time to take the future seriously and to do some professional management at every level of the organization, or it's time to shut it all down like you would an old horse that everyone loved.

Well done to end up 4th or 5th, but the question is how to translate that into bigger crowds. Surely the answer is to play attractive football that folk look forward to going to. It has to be more attractive than the alternative that 5-6k people choose on game days. Until that's accomplished we'll never have a consistent ability to attract players to compliment the kids coming up through the ranks.
