  1. Just want to acknowledge the fantastic piece of business Stephen Robinson did by bringing in Peter Hartley to replace Ben Henegan. To bank £400k and bring in a ready made replacement is great work. I thought Hartley was superb on Saturday - he is a great organiser and very physical which are brilliant qualities for a defender. In fact all of his recruits have been excellent. I love big Cedric like everyone else but I think Craig Tanner is a superb player and looking forward to him getting an extended run in the team.Well done the manager!
  2. I was keeping my mate updated with text messages today and had my full time text written just after County scored. No way were we going to equalise. No quality, no fight, no cohesion, just 11 individuals running around like headless chickens. Summed things up when we brought Griffiths up for a corner but took it before he got anywhere near their penalty box. We don't know the meaning of the word team.
  3. I thought our marking in our own penalty box was bad yesterday but having seen the highlights it was diabolical. We can't even do the basics and opposition players must love playing against us because of the freedom they get. Mentioned to my mate yesterday that Dundee were able to read dangerous situations and step in with a timely tackle. The first we seem to realise there is danger is when the ball is in our net. I really fear for us now, been saying all season we simply don't have enough good players and I can't see us getting out of the mess we're in with this squad of so called professionals.
  4. Just shows how corrupt the game is in this country. Browns challenge was a red card all day long and for it to be downgraded sums up why Scottish football is a joke.
  5. We simply don't have the players to get us out of this mess, especially in defence. Cannot see us finishing anything better than 11th.
  6. Well said. Couldn't agree more.
  7. We nearly fell into foreign ownership before Les Hutchison stepped in to take over the club. I for one am very glad he did. I am a Well Society member and will continue to give what I can. The last thing we need is the club being taken over by someone whose motives are at best questionable. Vladimir Romanov anyone?
  8. I arranged for Joe to make a surprise guest appearance at my Dad's 80th a few years ago and a nicer gentleman you could not meet. RIP Joe. Hope you meet up with my Dad to reminisce about the old times.
  9. This. I was at our first game against Inverness and we closed them down all over the pitch. I thought this would be the way we would play this season but sadly I was wrong.
  10. Up at Inverness we pressed them all over the pitch and stopped them from playing. I thought that would be our game plan for the season certainly away from home. Not tonight. We stood off and allowed Hearts to make their passes. Can't understand why we didn't play the way we did in Inverness?
  11. The club are doing fantastic business at the moment to build an excellent squad for the forthcoming season. Hopefully we play our part by turning up in decent numbers each week.
  12. And she's probably one of the more intelligent ones!
  13. We need to start to prepare for relegation because clearly this group of players, and in particular our defence, are not capable of keeping us up.
  14. John Boyle spent approx £8m of his own money on our club. Okay, he made some mistakes, but anyone who spends that level of cash on MFC is all right with me.
  15. I must seriously be missing something in Josh Law. How he has managed to earn a start today is beyond me.
  16. Could not agree more. To suggest that it is time for a change because one of the most successful managers in our history has become stale is madness. The longer we keep Stuart McCall the better because he has delivered unprecedented success on a budget most other managers would laugh at. A change of manager would be a disaster for us, especially when I consider the likely suspects who would no doubt fancy their chances.
  17. Yes it was. Daft as a brush but what I would give to have him back in our midfield now.
  18. I totally agree that losing Cup games make us skint, however I dread to think the salaries some of these players like Vigers and McManus are on. Part of the reason we are skint is because we are paying good money to players who are not professional enough to see off a so called lesser team.
  19. Sorry to see Faddy go. He's one of us and clearly has Motherwell at heart. His performances this season have been patchy at best and Stuart McCall has taken the tough but correct decision. Thanks for the memories Faddy, including you goal celebration at Pitoddrie.
  20. Have to say 4-1 flatters us. Lee Hollis made several excellent saves when the score was 1-1 to keep us in the game.
  21. I lost my Dad on hogmanay last year so my thoughts are with both him and Phil today. My Dad brought me up to be a 'Well fan and for that I will be eternally grateful. ' mon the dads.
