  1. Lasley for me. Work rate was tremendous, never stopped and added another goal to his tally. Thought the team generally looked a bit sluggish but still put together some nice passages of play and must be commended for fighting to the very end (nice to see us "doing " a team in the last 5 mins. Did`nt think we had it in our armour) Well done to all.
  2. Funny enough, I just said that to my son as Carswell covered a lot of ground and made a few good challanges. I think he compliments the midfield runners and leads to a better balance overall. He is always available and looking for the ball to keep the play flowing with a few simple passes (much the way Jennings did previousley) I would like to see him getting an extended run to see if he can perform at a consistent level. A good team performance today against a fine Inverness outfit who just faded a little after we knocked the stuffing out of them by scoring early in the second half. Lets just keep the same level of determination to win over the next few games,
  3. Thats the only statistic that worries me prior to `Well playing any team. We love to help the underdog by tradition but hopefully we will show a selfish, ruthless streak on Sat.
  4. Think Clancy is still available for Sat so expect only one change with Daly replacing Lasley. Certainly think we are well capable of achieving a 4 - 0 result. :yahoo: :yahoo:
  5. If Hibs can get any kind of result on Sunday I can see our crowd on Wed being boosted by a few thousand extra supporters and with prices at £10 we might just get some "cup final" home supporters to give us our biggest gate of the season. As the man says - " GET RIGHT BEHIND THE WELL"

    Home Form

Jennings in midfield , coupled to Ojaama up front has given us many more options by the space they create and can use to great efffect. The fluidity in the team is impressive and it varies from the 4-4-2 you mention to a 4-3-3 and even a 4-2-4. A special mention must also go to Clancy who has slotted well into central partnership with Hutch and its no coincidence that he has been very solid the last few games. (they just need to work on the distribution from the back, or I`ll have a heart attack at some point, but lets encourage them to aim for perfection and dont give them too hard a time)

    Vs Hearts

Hope he has the right boots on - he spent most of his time at Tynecastle on his ar**!! which did`nt help his performance any. Hopefully Tom will make up for that performance with some deadly free kicks. Lets get right behind him and his teammates. :yahoo: :yahoo:

On current showing Henrik will be snapped up BEFORE Jamie!!!!!!! :whistling: :whistling:
  9. 7000+ on a cold, miserable, wet and windy Friday night shows that PRICE is very important to a lot of fans.
  10. AGREED And not for the first time this season.(eg Aberdeen away). I thought Clancy and Hutch might be a better option at central defence but Hutch has`nt been too clever since he came back in.
  11. Higdon is a team player and not one of your "glory" strikers. He would rather pass to a team mate in a better position than have an attempt himself. (This might be because he thinks he can`t score himself so shirks out of the responsibility or, on the other hand, just simply a lack of confidence). At times he is not very pleasant on the eye but it was great to hear the away support giving him vocal support yesterday, even when he missed out on a few good chances, but I`m sure he appreciated the encouragement. On another day he might just have bagged a hatrick. Here`s hoping for next week - its just great to wake up on a Sunday morning and read that the second team have pegged back the league leaders - we can dream on. :notworthy:

    Hibernian

Great team performance - could`nt pick out a failure. Only criticism is not converting our many chances, but hey, on previous days we would have conceded a late goal (or goals) Thought Clancy had a very effective game. Well done to everyone, and a special mention to the away support who got right behind the whole team (yes even Humph and Higdon) Keep up the drums and singing :whistling:
  13. [quote name=postiejim' timestamp='1312747164' post ='304883] Great result ,and how shite were Hearts by the way . You`r only as good as the opposition allows you to be , and today `Well gave them a lesson on how to play the beautiful game. :notworthy:

    Hearts - Motm

Great team performance today with some excellant individual input. Went finally for Hateley who just shaded Law Thought Saunders looked a little nervous and had a couple of slips but stuck to his task. Randolph, as we now expect, made his customary significant saves at crucial times, but some of his distribution leaves a lot to be desired. Humphries continues to frighten defences and (or is it my imagination) he is managing to put in a number of telling crosses. Lets hope S.McC. continues to get an improvement in these areas because it was great to see his determination and joy being expressed on the park at the end of the game as he encouraged each of his players and acknowledged the support.
  15. He is certainly on the fringe and will just have to keep plugging away, trying to improve his consistancy and strength and stamina as I feel he is too easily brushed aside and needs to toughen up a bit. I felt on Sat (when Levein was watching him) he gave up the chase to easily - the number of times he let Pascali move forward unchallanged was not acceptable and would`nt go unnoticed by Levien .
