I think that 1-0 Celtic game you mentioned, hmlarsson, was just about the worst game I've ever seen against Celtic, and we were wearing our infamously horrible "Jester's Outfit". The pitch was rutted and the ball was up in the air for 50% of the time. You must have had nerves of steel! The team this year is worth seeing, I think. *Pins colours to mast*.

Tommy's great at squeezing the last ounce out of his players but this is because he is starved of resources. To be frank, in an age where image is all important, he looks a bit like Willie Ormand. I think he's an excellent manager and he could do well in the English Championship. I'm still amazed by what Mr Robinson has done so far, so I'm sticking with him.

One of his best assets is his controlled aggression: his timing of the tackle is excellent and there is no flying-in like Scott Brown when he was a young, psycho right back at Hibs. I'm confident, given our backroom staff, that his progress will be managed very carefully.

I can't remember such an intense performance from a 'Well team. 2-0 so early had me thinking how bad it would be if we blew it like so often in the past, but it just didn't materialise. No surrendering the midfield and defending deep until we lose a goal and panic. I don't know what Robinson does in training, but it's having some effect: each player gives it all for the jersey. Every player won his individual battle tonight. Hope it sets a standard for the rest of the season. COYW!

Which makes a Kipre/May confrontation a worry. The MMs know this is a toughie and will use all their "skills" to play the ref. I'm really looking forward to it but will be raging if we end up discussing another terrible refereeing decision after the match. Have just seen the Alba coverage at my daughter's: that penalty was laughable, even worse than the one given against Dunne in Perth. I also thought Tait's foot was definitely caught by the Hibs defender but obvs. the ref thought the arm-flailing was too Sarah Bernhardt. The refs are so poor they're making games into a lottery. Do we know who we're getting on Thursday yet? If it's Craig "Mother Brown" Thomson we're sunk.

And with refs this bad, big Kipre will be harshly judged simply because of his strength, particularly against The Ugly Sisters.

Seems this team doesn't know when it's beaten: a great quality which has been sadly lacking in recent seasons. The manager is responsible for this. I'm still a bit puzzled by our relatively poor first halves but then the manager makes changes and pulls the fat from the fire. Once again we end up complaining about poor referees. Hibs seem to have joined the ranks of the "well-coached" teams: Ross County, Panathonaccies, Mutton Molesters, etc. Next up: The MMs. COYW!

Apart from Alan Campbell's obvious qualities (tackling ability, passing, energy), the main one for me is that his timing in the tackle is excellent: few silly fouls or needless aggression like Messrs Mauchlen and O'Neil. If his development can be managed well by the coaching staff, he should become one of our outstanding assets. He's a real old-fashioned midfielder. Not surprised, according to reports, that the BBC pundits ignored him. "Is it true, or did you see it on the BBC?"

And finally, Stevie Hammell looked about five years younger. Lots of neat wee passes to unlock the left side. SR has instilled spirit and competition: at least this year we'll always get effort, tackling and resistance.

Bigirimana was excellent, as was Alan Campbell; what a fighter. Great finish from Bowman for the goal, although Louis often seemed out of position. Hammell's link up play was very good, and an object lesson for Dunne. Kipre awesome and Hartley really commanding. Thing I like about the manager is, he isn't blate at changing the team when things aren't working.

Watched this game at my daughter's. Presumably it was the producer's decision not to look at the disallowed Moult goal. Very surprising such a controversial decision was not subject to "expert analysis" by Thomson and Stewart. Even football-averse daughter thought Berra was almost hitting the back of the net as he heads it out. Or would that have highlighted the ineptitude of the match officials? It could easily have cost us points and not for the first time. And was it just me or did the assistant referee suddenly become eagle-eyed (and hyperactive with his wee flag) after this incident? I'm probably just being paranoid: out diddy team status with the BBC will explain it all. Would a disallowed OF goal not have been commented on?

The Aberdeen player is Ian Hair. He went to Duncanrig secondary in EK. He was a silky inside-forward at school but ended up playing full back for The Dons. Does not compute. One of Joe's india-rubber-leg tackles.

I am a republican: Kipre for king. He's tough as teak. Thought we outfought them in the second half and Campbell was excellent again when he came on. Good move for our first goal and delighted for Bowman. Classy finish by Louis too. Was it over the line? I'm in the POD. Team spirit looks good.
