  1. Mbappé is a pretty cool character, don’t think it would effect him in truth.

I think the fatter wage packet will come first in truth.

Fully agree, top performance from our guy.
  4. I tend to agree, as much as I have a high regard for the guy I think the Championship is his level.
  5. Good move for him, hope it goes well.
  6. My thoughts for his family and friends, far too young to pass away.
  7. Maybe just me not keeping up with their financial position.
  8. I would doubt we could match Dundee United on the money side.

I’m absolutely shocked, he was such a fair, level headed, and knowledgable individual. What a truly sad day for not just his friends and family but the wider Motherwell fc family and forum. Rest in peace Andy. Mark
  10. I would imagine he’s going to be earning similar money at Burton and it’s pretty local. We have to remember he may be one injury away from being finished, not many clubs are going to break the bank for someone with his injury record and he’s hardly set the championship on fire.
  11. I’m just chilling out and waiting for what comes, not worth getting upset about.
  12. It’s a great move for him, Championship football down south is a good level above the Scottish Premiership. He’s even more in the shop window and will probably be earning three times what he would here. He’s at that age now that he needed a good move and he appears to have got it.
  13. The problem is he’s not played a game in 18 months and his record at PNE was nothing special before that. He could just as easily break down again when things get going. Personally I would think he will struggle to remain in the championship.
  14. I would be pretty hopeful if it’s other Premiership sides of a similar size of it going in our favour. Watching the interview of him he’s clearly attached to the club and I’m struggling to see how those other clubs would blow us out of the water on wages. I think st Mirren are now pretty covered up front and Killy are now down in the championship. Ross County ? Maybe but a long shot, Livi I doubt given their budget. Dundee would be a worry though.
  15. Depends if he wants to play for Morecambe I guess.
  16. I would imagine we’re in a pretty reasonably position if it’s a choice between Scottish clubs. If he’d stayed fit we could get nowhere near a big city club in wages but I don t see them offering a fortune after 18 months out.
  17. Two sides to every story of course.
  18. Cole would be my number one choice of the three players mentioned, he’s the right age, good goal scoring percentage, and still improving.
  19. You would imagine at his age he would want to play at the highest level in Scotland while he still can and he will certainly have offers. Personally I would not rule us out of the running. Just trying to work out what formation we will be playing with a front three of Lafferty/Cole/Moult.
  20. Recent injuries taken into account you watch that and think just bring the guy back. He’s obviously a top bloke and loves the club, and while the club have to do due diligence on the physical side he would give everyone a lift after a terrible last 16 months or so. Can we afford him with other interest, time will tell.
  21. End of the day I’m pretty sure if we were to sign Lafferty there would be a level of excitement. Having said that my first choice would still be the return of Cole.
  22. I’m in the “it’s ok” camp. Not a huge fan of the white inclusion.
  23. I’m pretty sure Rangers had more red cards that season than us. Did Bowman really have that bad a record, not that it recollect. The whole hammer throwers line was nonsense.
  24. My argument would be he was also one of the most predictable players you would ever see. If you look back at any montage of him you know exactly what he’s going to do which was usually cut inside and shoot, and managers soon worked out that if you stopped him doing by closing him down and not just standing off he was ineffective. I remember watching him at games and knowing exactly what his next move was going to be. He then started to get taken off and seemed less than happy and you thought that maybe his head had been turned but tended to think he’s going to develop over time, it’s never happened. I’m no longer convinced that’s ever going to happen.
  25. A drop down to the championship, regain some confidence, then see if he improves.
