  1. That’s the standard of Scottish football, it’s pretty dire with the majority of top clubs fielding players that would struggle to get in a league one team down south.
  2. “ Intensity” story of the last 3 years at the club. We do that and the results come, we drop it and we look awful.
  3. I get the feeling about Gallagher but regardless the most important thing is surely staying in the top flight ? With that in mind who is the better of the two players at this stage of their careers and that’s without doubt Gallagher. For me that’s all that matters, Gallagher will be away regardless and will be forgotten pretty quickly, relegation won’t be.
  4. I just thought that playing an inexperienced young player instead of a club captain and full Scottish international was the wrong move. Not a problem if we were statistically safe but why take the chance otherwise when we still needed a win, just give him time after that point. I do get the idea of not changing a winning team but as you say the defence has still looked vulnerable and although he’s had a poor season by his standards he’s still the best centre half at the club by some margin and waiting for the inevitable defeat to re- introduce him smacked a bit of failing to make the big decision for me.
  5. Terrible result but again, we won’t go down.
  6. Yep, we should not have been waiting for what’s happed today.
  7. I would just like to see the end of plastic pitches in the top flight regardless of the club. You simply can’t play decent football on them, the Livi one is an abomination of an excuse for a pitch.
  8. I’m in the Gallagher starts gang, he’s the best centre half we have at the club and we can still mathematically be relegated.
  9. I guess it’s a difficult one for any manager coming in to Aberdeen. As said above his overall record is right where it should be over the nine year period and they have little to no chance of finishing anywhere higher than 3rd now regardless. Given that no one is going to come in and do any better and it just comes down to the level of entertainment.
  10. That really is complete nonsense even by your standards. You might have more chance of catching it in a supermarket than walking past someone in the street and socially distancing but packed together it’s a totally different thing. How on earth would you know that not a single person died from a large gathering of individuals, did you go round everyone taking lateral flow tests ?Motorcycle rally in the states last year, huge outbreak, spring break party outside, huge outbreak, I could go on and on. This from the CDCP who I think might have a better take on it than you “The impact of gatherings as a source of virus transmission underscores the importance of reducing the number of attendees at gatherings, using face masks, and encouraging physical distancing to prevent ongoing transmission of SARS-CoV-2. Furthermore, these findings demonstrate the rationale for consistent mitigation measures across states.” There was no social distancing with many not wearing masks.
  11. I wonder how many will regret it for the rest of their lives when they contract Covid then pass it on to a relative who dies. One of our ex employees had the whole family round for Christmas, he was the only one not infected and the wife’s mum went on to die.
  12. But it’s that word “ expectations” again. What the club expect seems to differ from the expectations of some of the fanbase. Should we stay up as I expect we will what’s the expectation for next season, survival, a top six finish, a cup final ? I suspect if we are not top half he will come under pressure the same way Robinson did.
  13. You keep on with those corny jokes ( and that positive spirit). We all get a bit too serious on here at times when it’s a tough time for all of us.
  14. I honestly never thought we would be relegated, too much quality in the squad for me ( the crazy injury list obviously had an effect though).
  15. Given we most certainly won’t be getting relegated it’s all a bit irrelevant now.
  16. Very true. My feeling has always been that the squad and individual players were far better than many we’re making out, they simply lacked confidence and new players were not given time to settle in before they were written off. I wonder if Wright is having less of an impact because he’s inherited a weaker group of players. I will say however that Alexander has certainly turned around the performances of the squad he inherited and that’s all that really matters to us.
  17. Hopefully we are now close to being safe. It’s actually quite exciting to think what Alexander could bring to next season with his own team, he’s certainly improved the confidence within the squad and certain players have really started to shine.
  18. Great win for the guys, things continue to look up.
  19. Ok, your opinion on his qualities, a couple of weeks ago Lamie was one of the worst players and hardly even a footballer, now he and a young guy keep out a full Scottish international and captain in a relegation fight ? Makes little sense to me but maybe they both play today, keep another clean sheet, and it’s all good.
  20. I would agree if we were safe from relegation, but are we ? Surely that’s more important than making a point ?
  21. He should absolutely be picking Gallagher.
  22. I’m expecting a really tough game and have Livi down as favourites, we have not been great at home by any measure. Certainly we are going to be in trouble if we don’t show the same commitment.
