  1. But we have had one or two loan players over the last couple of seasons that excited the support and helped us move forward. We are not always going to have youth players that can make that impact, there has to be a balance and I think the club usually get it about right.
  2. Do you honestly think he’s going to go for a fee again ? Personally I’m not really bothered about other clubs as long as a player strengthens our’s.
  3. Taking Hastie would not be developing him for Rangers, he’s never going to get a run there regardless.
  4. So will we hear today whether we are looking for a new manager ?
  5. Did I not read that Hastie had the chance to come back to us on loan but turned it down last season ? Not sure how the fan base would take to him if I’m honest.
  6. We can’t go into the season with a Hylton and Seedorf for sure, I would like to see another two wide players coming in or at least one who can switch. Seedorf is still young but he really needs to improve in my view.
  7. A fair point, it’s pretty obvious that Robinson is a good man manager, players seem to be drawn back to the club just to work with him again and many have stated he has improved their game. Make no mistake losing him would be a huge loss to the club.
  8. There were one or two on here who said his time was up at the back end of 2017.
  9. I’m quietly confident at this point, we still need more up front out wide but other than that we won’t be struggling again next season. Making top three will no doubt be tough but top six is certainly more than doable. Obviously we could still lose key players and we don’t know what’s happening with long.
  10. If he leaves I don’t see many stand out candidates, Wright might be past his sell by date even if he was interested. I guess all the usual candidates would get trotted out. I would rather we promoted from within frankly but it’s all just speculation at this point.
  11. I think he might, and also think he has a good chance of getting it.

Not sure he did offer a balanced view though, he turned down the offer then changed his mind when he realised Covid was going to make life difficult for many players. By that time the club was in a different position and offered lower terms.
  13. The main question for me would be the club coming back to him after he actually signed the extension asking him to reduce the terms. If I remember rightly Hartley had agreed a new contract then the club came back to him before anything was signed.
  14. Quite surprised at that, not something you hear from departed Motherwell players, we seem to be pretty decent in general. Only one side of the story though I guess.
  15. A classic for those of us over a certain age.
  16. Expect him to be announced by us come Monday, still think it’s games played between Fry and his agent. They have already stated we offered him a 3 year deal which we won’t have. Having said that I actually agree with Steelboy ( never thought it would happen).
  17. Sounds like games being played to me.
  18. He’s certainly going to want at least one winger.
  19. You have to think the a Fox deal is as good as done but until it’s official anything can happen
  20. Yes, is there anyone with talent at the club that’s not been given a chance ? I don’t get to see anything other than first team games but we seem pretty good at giving youth a chance.
  21. It’s not that long ago that Championship clubs down south were looking at him by all accounts. Sounds like he is a typical Robinson signing, a rough diamond with plenty of potential. Of course Robinson will be getting linked with the Hearts job now if Stendel is on his way.
  22. I think we’ve made quite a positive start transfer wise given where many clubs find themselves just now, looks to be a good signing to me.
  23. No way would we be offering a 3 year deal plus 50k, that’s nonsense.
