  1. I know, that’s always the first thought but I don’t even own a car, cycle everywhere including to work and back and hardly have an inch of fat on me. The large is close to the medium tops I have from three seasons ago.
  2. They are certainly getting smaller. I went from a medium to a large for last years away top and even that is on the neat side and this years home is just as neat, Stephen purchased the home shirt on Saturday. I would say if you are between a medium and large in general certainly go large.
  3. Nope, but I would still prefer a home tie to an away one against one of the tougher teams and a possible upset.
  4. Odds on to be the televised game.
  5. Very winnable at home, Hearts are nothing special.
  6. Is he not ? Stated on here only recently that he was.
  7. I was pretty much thinking the same myself, he’s going out of his way to “like” Celtic tweets. I started to wonder at that point if this was simply a delay to the deal.
  8. I take it’s just going to stick with what he’s already on, get fit and playing again, and move to Celtic in January.
  9. I still think he will struggle against premiership defenders, I don’t think anyone is saying he’s not got the qualities needed.
  10. The “ is he even a footballer” by a mile.
  11. Not the greatest of games but I guess it was never going to be. It shows though how far we have come in the last year that Hartley now looks a million miles away from being the right player given the way we now play, his distribution and composure is just not close to that of Gallagher. I liked the look of Sloth and can see him claiming a place in the first 11 unlike Long who I just don’t see as our target man. Guess what, I think Donnelly could be this seasons player that proves the haters wrong, he’s improving game on game and knows where the back of the net is ( please give him a chance). I thought Polworth did ok although he was sitting too deep at times, Seedorf had a poor game sadly. This squad shows a lot of promise, certainly the most exciting in my four years watching the club, if we sign a forward that’s fits in we can look forward to an entertaining, and hopefully successful season.
  12. Robinson clearly clarifying. ” There’s still a couple of things ongoing as well, as I’ve said previously. “It has to be the right person. It has to be a starter. “We are not going to bring in and fill the squad. We’ve got younger boys in the background we feel can make up that squad. “It has to be the right person. So we will be patient. “There’s still a few more weeks left. There may be something done further down the line.”
  13. Some on here appear to have more expertise than the management team. Surely it must have ? Aldred, Main, Gorrin to name just three written off before a ball was kicked because they failed to come from a bigger club or supporters of previous clubs had stated they were awful. In all seriousness surely with the number of players we have signed who have come from nowhere over the last three years or so everyone has learnt not to pre judge.
  14. But will they all be looking at the 6th tier of football down in England ?
  15. I find it very hard to believe the guy is the final piece of the jigsaw the management team are suggesting we need. We will be looking to sign an out and out central striker with a bit of a record, this is not him. I wish him well and hope he takes his opportunity, he’s at the right club if he wants to try and push on.
  16. I’m already writing him off, rubbish signing.
  17. Me to, think he would suit our style down to the ground and do well.
  18. Nothing i’ve seen early this season has done anything to change my mind that he’s not ready to lead the attack just yet and would benefit from a few months out on loan to a championship team. Of course everyone is desperate to see our young players in the first team, but we do need to be patient with Scott in my view and not just keep playing him because he’s that “ Young Motherwell player”.
  19. Sadly human psyche is not that simple. Some individuals are naturally more receptive to these things than others.
  20. We obviously still miss a quality midfielder although Turnbull is actually still with us, just a case of how long he will be out for. I have to join in the not sure opinions on Donnelly maybe not been the right player for that position, Polworth still has a way to go but i’m hopeful he will learn and adapt. I would have Gorrin back in a heartbeat though, we miss him way more than the likes of Hastie.
  21. I would question if sport as a whole is the right place for advertising gambling and alcohol. No different to the way tobacco advertising was banned in F1 just short of 20 years ago. I don’t believe the two belong together in a modern world. It’s not like people are suddenly banned from gambling or drinking, it’s just a case of not promoting it.
  22. I know, and i’m not saying it should not be available just not pushed with advertising. I guess the gambling issue with me is down to a colleague who lost everything due to a gambling habit and an individual we support now who is destroying his life through it.
  23. Listen I know i’m going to be in the tiny minority here, I would ban alcohol adds as well.
  24. “A renowned brand” This is one i’m not able to get enthusiastic about i’m afraid. On the one hand we are correctly pushing suicide prevention which is at terrible levels in the west of Scotland while on the other hand promoting a company at the heart of gambling which is one of the factors in those figures.
  25. 6th finish, I like the look of all the new signings i’ve seen. Weak opposition on Friday but you could still see the various qualities on show, on top of that the football keeps improving.
