  1. Away tickets are capped at £30.00 for away fans in the premier league, regardless of fixture.
  2. A point in Perth is never a bad result.
  3. Criminal not winning the header from the ball into the box, seemed to duck under it.
  4. The ever reliable bbc gossip column reporting that us and hibs are set to miss out on oddofin, to rotherham.
  5. Never seen the game, i wouldn't have changed the team from saturday though. Van veen gaveus a focal point, Donnelly is miles ahead of crawford. Need bodies in badly.
  6. sure I heard Craigan mention them doing a double session on Tuesday as well which can't be easy on the legs.
  7. Mugabi is still going through Rehab for his injury. The league cup games are a fine balance between picking the right squad, in terms of where players are with their fitness and going and winning the game, it wasn't pretty last night, at all, but we won, job done, much bigger test on saturday. Queens park looked much sharper, I am not sure how many friendlies they have played though, they also have one competitive game ticked off as well, and it showed. I wouldn't look into it too much though. Positives, I thought O'Connor done okay, Cornelius showed some nice flashes, Woolery showed he has something and Van Veen chipped the keeper, got boo'ed and flung the ball away. PLENTY of room for improvement, not going to come on here and have a go at individuals, we all know this is a glorified pre season friendly. we won, onto Saturday.
  8. And chipping the keeper 3 minutes after coming on.
  9. This midfield is miles off it.
  10. Can you apply for the ballot if you took up the standing order option for the season ticket? fwiw, season ticket holders should always get first dibs at tickets IMO, once in a blue moon is there a ticket scramble for a Motherwell fixture. St mirren in the scottish a few seasons ago, Fortmartine last season would probably have been the same.
  11. Record reporting Matthew Connolly has signed a new deal.
  12. seeing a lot of Kevin van veen, Followed by the 'eye' emoji on twitter.
  13. Ness is an interesting one, he was a hot prospect back in the day. Walked away from Dundee, however the chat from most of their fans is that he would be a quality signing. I think he had problems with his mental health? Not against the signing, an interesting one though.
  14. The Twitter replies are some laugh. Must have been about 6 trialists and the same again from the youth intake who are about 16.
  15. one of the most impressive highlight reels I have watched, well worth the ten minutes.
  16. I have always said that Lawless was the one player that we let go that could have done a job for us, hard to see make a good case for it now right enough. I can't think of too many more that have forged a good career in the premiership. I think maybe Nicky Devlin is another one who seems to have done well. is there many more? On Lawless, I am certain we will see the player we were hoping, he had a bit of a shite time when he signed, between a total lack of football and injuries once he gets a good pre season under his belt we will HOPEFULLY see the player we expected.
  17. I'd be very surprised if we signed a combative midfielder, or at least I don't imagine it is a high priority, especially with Donnelly coming back, Mark O'Hara and Crawford both signed.
  18. I totally agree on Watt, btw, his attitude and application is absolutely spot on. Which i must admit to being surprised at based on what we all heard as fans about him. I also agree with you on the bodies we will miss more than Chris Long. I think I have tried to put forward such a strong case for him to the point I think he is be all and end all, that definitely in the case. I always wanted Long to do well (as we all did of course) but i always thought with confidence he would really kick on. The beauty of forums, no one ever agrees on everything. Scotland time now, enjoy.
  19. Moult is a very extreme example to compare him too btw, Moult's goal contribution for us was incredible, as I mentioned above, every 1.48 games. For comparison, Morelos and Eduoard are only slightly better than that. Comparing all our strikers to moult is so easily done, but the reality is, we will struggle to ever get those sort of stats out of a striker so we do have to temper expectations slightly. Long sat fairly comfortably in the middle of guys folk would gladly have down as 'good enough'. Cole, Watt, and Callum Lang. anyway, that's my take. Agree with you on Watt btw, he should score more, reckon he would be playing far higher up the ladder if he did though, he brings so much in terms of everything else.
  20. We could go round in circles about this haha, My perception is that the fans drummed up this idea that he had an attitude problem. Not sure that has ever been brought up by anyone at the club, happy to be proven wrong of course. Scott Mcdonald by comparison was very well publicised for having a massive attitude issue, expected massive standards from himself and his team mates, like you say though, he delivered for us time and time again and it was warranted. I think we both agree though that he was a decent player and will score goals which is really what the OG poster wants to know.
  21. This isn't true at all, he is good enough, like I said, some folk had a serious bee in their bonnet cause he never smiled. According to transfer market he played 66 times for us, 17 goals and 9 assists in that time, A goal contribution every 2.53 games. FWIW, Moult had a goal contribution every 1.48 games, Ryan bowman every 3.18 games, Devante Cole every 2.16 games, Callum Lang every 3.5 games and Tony watt every 2.55 (if my maths is correct) Now I know that doesn't paint the whole picture, far from it, however I think saying he wasn't good enough for us is even further from the truth.
  22. 90% of our support had a bee in their bonnet cause the guy never smiled. There is a good player in there, quick too.
