  1. There’s some photos on the famous Well Fans II where Tait is in them, don’t worry, he’s there. Only ones I haven’t seen who I thought would be there are Taylor-Sinclair and Newell. Carson, Cadden and Tanner have obviously not appeared.
  2. Scott Mullen saying Robinson is still with the squad in Tenerife and no contact has been made from Luton regarding the job.
  3. Yep, just checked. Looks like Campbell’s is to 2021 and Robinson to 2020.
  4. Is it not 2022? Thought both him and Allan Campbell signed long deals round about the same time
  5. Can’t tell if it’s him or Hastie but I’d assume with Caddens injury that it must be Hastie
  6. Hope if we do sell Turnbull he doesn’t go the way of those like Lee Erwin, Ben Hall or Robbie Leitch, all of which could’ve done with more time playing regular first team football. (I know Leitch never played for the first team however it looked apparent he would’ve been one of the next ones to be given the opportunity when he left.)
  7. I’d add Josh Tymon into that list of ones that've been talked about. However, apart from those three it’s seemed very quiet.
  8. So you’re either writing off new signings who’ve played in a single league game so far, or you’re writing off the rest of the squad who managed to get us to two cup finals and narrowly miss out on a top 6 spot because there wasn’t enough depth in the squad during the winter. Or maybe it’s both. Either way, the judgement seems either incredibly hasty or it’s just idiotic. Give them a couple of months before you add another minute to the doomsday clock.
  9. I’d argue that by having 5 strikers, (6 if you include Tanner) fighting for 2 places, that would indicate depth. I’d also say that by having 2 first team goalkeepers, as well as having 2 young guys that could step in, in case of emergency, that would also indicate depth there too. ATS and Dunne can cover left back, and Tait and Donnelly can play at right back. If it’s wingbacks, then you could also add Cadden and Frear to that which would also seem we have enough depth there as well. Ultimately, the only positions we lack depth are wingers and attacking midfielders, neither of which really feature in our play all too often and if we did decide to play those types, there are some options. Robinson said he wanted to improve the depth of the squad and I think he’s done that acceptably for the budget he was permitted.
  10. Despite the fact I really liked Aldred during his time with us, I definitely don’t think he would be a good replacement for Kipré unless we are permanently switching to a back 4. If it was Hartley or McHugh who had been sold then I’d want him back immediately, but if Robinson is sticking with the 3 at the back, then we need someone faster and bigger on the right side.
  11. With Bigirimana, Turnbull and Scott all on the bench, maybe there will be less complaints today?....
  12. Don’t think they are doing the print at home for away matches.
  13. If we sell Kipré and with Dunne out injured for a long period, the lack of pace in the back line is quite worrisome. Aldred was great in his time here but he wouldn’t solve our solution about the lack of pace.
  14. Taking into account the pace of the likes of Boyle and others in this Hibs team, I’d kind of hope we’d go to a back 4, although I’m 99% sure Robinson will still go with a back 3. For me I’d go with: Carson Tait Kipre McHugh (if fit) ATS Cadden ARG Rose Frear Sammon Johnson If McHugh isn’t ready then I’d have Hartley in there instead. Sammon deserves a start after his first few appearances, and with Bowman out and Main perhaps still struggling with injury, Johnson is probably the best option to partner him. Would hope to see Bigi from the bench too although I doubt it’ll happen if I’m honest.
  15. I take it he’s playing the diamond in midfield then? Wouldn’t think he’d play any of the current midfielders wide left.
  16. Personally think Neville has just reacted to the rather negative headline of the article and not the full thing. Robinson actually has some rather complimentary things to say about Salford if he had taken the time to read the article
  17. Frear would be the obvious pick for his goals and crosses into the box. Went for McHugh though, thought he had a fantastic game nullifying any real threat from the opposition and marshalling the defence very well. Campbell, Tait and Rose had great first halves, but died away as the game progressed. Think Rodriguez is going to fit in terrifically once he’s up to speed and has more minutes under his belt, he always looked an outlet when we needed a next pass.
  18. With Reece Burke leaving West Ham to sign for Hull, I think that puts an end to Hull’s interest in Kipré.
  19. Seen a lot of chat that he’s headed for Dundee United.
  20. Now the sun are reporting that our price for Kipre is £1 million and we are trying to get Aldred on a permanent deal. The papers really do get their news from forums don’t they?...
  21. That journo Alan Nixon reporting that Hull are in for Kipre. Also claims he’s “cheap,” so I’m not sure how much he thinks we value him at.
  22. I asssumed when he said about bringing another wide player in, he was referring to Taylor-Sinclair. However, if we’re still after another forward, whether that be a winger or a centre forward or a bit of both, that would leave us with a very versatile squad with a plethora of options. Already quite optimistic about our season at this point, but another player in that area and I’d be delighted. Should we sell or release some of our players, (Carson I’d imagine is a near certainty to go) then I think we’ll have players in mind to replace those outgoing. All in all, very content at this stage.
  23. I do think he has a good bit to offer down the middle, he can get in good areas and make things happen. Pretty sure he played centrally versus Queens Park at Hampden, and v Hearts in the Scottish Cup and Rangers in the League (at Fir Park) and was relatively direct and creative through the middle in each game. Could be ultimately wrong but I’d like to see him get more of a chance there. You’re very right in pointing out that he has probably looked his best playing wide on the right and getting in behind the fullback, but maybe that’s just because he’s been used there more often. Time will tell I suppose
