Personally I think Grimshaw is the most similar, just not to quite the same level. Like Campbell, he likes doing all the defensive work although during Grimshaw’s bit of form in the second half of the season, he managed to show there’s a bit of player in there with some of his runs and crosses, especially on the right side of the pitch.

Can’t help but feel if we really do sign miller it’d be quite a let down if I’m honest. Many have spoken of a desire to sign a couple of quality strikers which I’m on board with, however many have also cited a lack of pace as a weakness of our current squad. I don’t see how Miller fits in with Robinson’s vision for our squad, and at his age he’s certainly not a long term option. Factor in his lack of electric pace and it all makes for a pretty underwhelming signing. Saying that, I have faith in Robinson’s recruitment and if he signs Miller and believes he’s the man then I’ll back him until he proves otherwise.

The whole situation with the young Indian keeper strikes me as very odd. Considering we have Carson as the undisputed first choice, unless the kid is some god, hes unlikely to challenge him for the no.1 jersey, which means hed then be competing with Griffiths, Ferguson and Morrison for a spot on the bench, unless the plan is to have him play purely in the development squad. So unless the plan is that we know Griffiths is away in the summer at the expiry of his contract, and Ferguson or Morrison steps up a bit or we send one or both out on loan then its very unnecessary. I know Robinson loves a selection headache but having 5 players fighting for 1 spot seems a bit mental. Would also make the signing of Ferguson strange as well.

Think Allan Campbell is the definitive choice, was everywhere and most of our positive moments were through him. He was the only one in the first half who seemed to want the ball on the deck and create a bit of nice football. Bagged himself a well deserved goal to round of a great performance. Andy Rose played great as well and is deserving of notice tonight, if he had scored that header at the end I feel he should definitely receive a lot more votes on this. Charles Dunne also played well in the second and Curtis Mains work rate is immense. Credit to all the boys tonight, that second half was delightful.

Has Dunne reached his target of games to trigger that one year extension? Thought there was a good bit of chat about him having a clause in his contract before the break.

Thought there was a real lack of quality in the first half, but the second half we were great. Campbell in particular was at the heart of everything we did, going back or going forward. Andy Rose had a great game as well, always willing to make runs and attempt something, he was everywhere tonight. Thought the wing backs were really ineffective in the first half but got right into the game just before the first goal and made a real difference in the second overall, with Tait in particular doing a great job. Curtis Main works so hard and shows real touches of quality every now and then and scored a great goal, although, how he missed the 1 on 1 with the keeper I dont know, think he snatched at another one too but in general thought he was good. Dunne did really well in that second half as well and Carson had absolutely nothing to do. Happy with the clean sheet, delighted with the three points and satisfied with the performance.

Exactly this. If Cadden and Ciftci were too tired to start and Hartley is still just coming back then the manager has picked a solid team to start with. Personally despite him maybe not doing a whole lot thats been eye catching, I dont think Grimshaw has really done anything wrong since hes been back and am happy to see him get chances. Same goes with our back three, dont think in the last few games theyve done anything really do deserve being dropped for Hartley coming back. We still have more creative or attacking oriented players who can still come on, but like the Hearts game I think the plan was to hang on for 45 minutes to an hour and then make changes to try and win the game in the time remaining

Cant remember who said it, but I believe someone here said that West Brom defender Shaun Donellan was on trial with us in Tenerife. Obviously if that was true Robinson didnt fancy him as hes just joined big Fisher at Yeovil.
