There is no way we could have kept KVV, our wage structure couldn't have managed it. In the end we managed to sell him and get a good transfer fee . We move on
That's what I'm saying . Wage structure limited . But why can't it be altered to show ambition.? And no innovation or thinking outside the box.

Yes mika looked best option. Why could we not have used wages of wilkinson plus bear plus 1 other to keep big kev? Clubs run by amateurs.

Re: Mugabi, how many times do people need to see that he just can’t be relied on? His concentration and positional sense are non existent.
Even basic control of the ball and passing poor. Hes not a footballer. Against lower teams in group he was not tested but hes not a premiership player. Why we playing him as sweeper at times too? Hes not to be trusted to make basic passes.

Just back in a shite game with two poor teams St Mirren had 1 shot on target all game and it went in, we had the same and their keeper pulled off a brilliant save fine margins between success and failure.
Both teams were as shite as each other but we missed a chance to progress today they were there for the taking but we fucked up, SK needs to get them up for the league now as if we continue like that we will struggle big time.
Oh and Bevis Mugabi should be nowhere the team a complete bombscare.
Agree totally. Mugabe should be out. Gave ball away in dabgerous areas far too often. Poor that we using him as holding player at one point. No confidence in him.

Looked like a career ending assault at end from Dunn. Should be 10 game ban. Retrospective. Willie Gollum ref was shocking again and yes if Mika is out it looks like attacking options limited.
-
We could always put honey over the opposition goal to keep him focused. 😔

How much would it have cost to keep KVV?
How much are Obika, Wilkinson and Blair costing?
With a fan owned club model which I dislike, without large capital backup that decision wouldnt be made. I would have loved to keep van veen and went to next level instead of constantly rebuilding.

Does anyone know if Yogi has pace? If so maybe he could be re trained into wide position. Remember Humphreys didnt do too bad.
-
St Johnstone fans on forum astounded . Astonished that hes got a deal. Saying he has zero football ability. Not even the basics. Cant believe he got contract with us. Thought he may go to junior leagues.

So on that premis do you believe that Hammel would have got the past two results I for one do not. Its not players shame they have none.
I don't believe the last management team was up to the task i believe their lack of past managerial experience caught them out big time.
We have to remember Kettlewell has past managerial experience and been in our position before. Hammel had no experience i'd say lesson learned hiring rookie managers.
The Kettle is not the sexy appointment but i think its the best option atm and if he saves our season he deserves to start next season
I take it that you dont think Kettle is a "sexy" appointment is because you also dont think David de Gea is not sexy. Wonder if he can also play in goal? I do agree with others that Kettle talks a good game. I like that he talks about doing the "hard yards" similar to principles Robbo had. But Kettle appears to be more of a student if the game. And have more dimensions. Time will tell.

Fitness relatively similar with all pro clubs. Difference in model. Re Bielsa at Leeds. This also led to more burn out later in season and more injuries. Pace could be issue across side but stamina appears no different to other spl teams.

Looked fit against st mirren. Think we got more creativity than utd killie and ross co. Pro footballers are all fit. They train 3 or 4 times a week. And also at matches. It was formation that cost us and selection.

Holloway been relegated 5 times in past. He has made most clubs worse off. Apart from Blackpool. Has had money to spend too.
-
Holloway has poorer win ratio than Roy Keane and Mcclaren and is seen as a bit of a joke figure down south. Google Holloway and most over rated manager. Stay well clear.

For the cup game Raith Rovers 5/2. Motherwell even money. Raith unbeaten in last 10 matches. Last time they lost was the 3rd December.
Sounds like easy money to be made.

Your wrong. Burrows is a clown. Amateur. Won fuck all. Worst results in europe. Worst form. The mans an off, inarticulate irascible dimwit and should resign. Youth coaches developed youngsters like Turnbull. Money came from talent. Hopefully he can get a gig at McDonalds. Please employ pros.

The club has been run by enthusiastic amateurs for years. This now includes the manager.
Enthusiasm over ability has been leading us here for some time now, and I can't see how we get out of it either at a managerial or board level.
Agree with that. Ok for bowling club but not for pro football teams. Love to have a Soudi Billionaire well fan.

Feeling a bit despondent. The general running of club doesnt inspire me and lacks ambition. Turnbull money and more has not been invested in team. Rather free transfers from on league. Hibs lost Boyle and invested money in Melkerson. Looks a real talent. We evenost top scorer to rivals. Maybe in the black accounts wise but very poor on pitch.

It’s a stonewall penalty with the current ruling. It wasn’t deliberate but his arm was away from his body and it prevented the ball going into the box.
Arm looked in natural position.

I think penalty was harsh. Looks like ball played him.

I do get that too and of course it may create division in squad. Just asking for some innovation. Looks like we got more issues than just needing a forward. Hopefully mika ok.
