  1. You can sense whatever you like, but I'd point blank refuse to deal with them, especially at this stage of Turnbulls development and particularly so early in the window. The loan players from that place can also gtf
  2. Yes, you quite often see Celtic and Rangers trading, you're entirely correct
  3. Or more than likely will get spent on 'club infrastructure' which is also badly needed....I don't see us moving away from our current signing policy or wage structure
  4. This is it for me...the entertainment factor has been practically nil, for umpteen seasons now, until the 2nd half of last season. In years gone by, I would have watched any old shite that Motherwell served up, but in my old age I'd actually like to be entertained for the cost of my season ticket... ...the Club? 'ach fuck it, get him sold and we can worry about the entertainment later'
  5. In what way is it ridiculous...I wouldn't deal with that Club, if I could help it, just because of what they are and they're basic track record of being bawbags on and off the park
  6. We can't even get youngsters on the bench these days without our club flashing their knickers at potential buying clubs...
  7. Get that idea tae fuck...I still cannae get over Cillian Sheridan
  8. We don't know anything really...we're all assuming prices, sell-ons, add-ons, the players attitude etc...some of us might be being unfair on the Club, however I think we have an absolute star in the making here and selling so early in the window seems strange
  9. A wee while longer than virtually straight away
  10. Hold off for a wee while longer
  11. That'll be 5 players we need then
  12. You know me Busta, I've been going since the 80s. I'm more than aware that we need to sell players, every now and again, and that Turnbull was never going to play for us next season. However, I reckon I've just about had enough of watching us sell every decent asset we ever seem to get a hold of, just as quickly as a larger team gets the cheque book out. The selling of Turnbull, to a team in the same league, a team that continually decimates other teams, a team that continually shouts about lack of a domestic challenge, a team that is supported to the neck by absolute wankers, and many from around here. This isn't just a knee-jerk reaction to Turnbull leaving for Celtic (if indeed that happens), its years and years of the same sort of stuff, and years of watching our pish poor, unequal league. No doubt I'll end up buying my season ticket, but this constant rebuild year on year, is getting on my tits, as is dealing with a Club, who I wouldn't pish on.
  13. Mickey Johnstone or Lewis Morgan can get tae fuck
  14. He might be doing what he thinks is best for the Club, but that doesn't mean that it is the best for the Club. Of course Celtic are our rivals...we play in the same league as them and they are based 10miles away...yes we may not compete with them to win the league, but we compete with them in terms of bringing supporters through the door. There is no wonder that so many from our area go and watch the two teams from Glasgow rather than follow us.
  15. Incredibly disillusioned with the Club at the moment
  16. Scott McDonald and Stephen Pearson for me
  17. With Ross County, Livvy, Accies and St Mirren in the league, I'd be inclined to agree with you...it could be a grim watch though
  18. St John, Wark, Pettigrew, Paton
  19. aye, very good....what do you suggest we do with the money, regardless of how much we pay back to our former chairmen?
  20. Are we downplaying how effective he is at the moment? Would a club like Southampton or Burnley, see him as a player that could have (even a limited amount of) influence and game time in their 1st team squads, this coming season? We're all assuming that hes going to end up in some teams under23 squad like Robbie Leitch or Ben Hall, but maybe not? At the start of last season, we had all heard of him, some had seen him, a few thought he was good enough to be playing, but our coaching staff clearly though there was something missing. He got basically flung into the team when Robinson had publically slated some of the 1st teamers, and hasn't looked back, to the point that he was by far and away our best, most influential, most creative and most important player on our books. To me, he looks like he could hold his own as a starter in the English Championship quite comfortably, could he be a squad man for a season or two in the lower reaches of the league above?
  21. Its now being reported that Turnbull will be staying with us unless some club stumps a minimum of £3,000,000, and I'd imagine there will be add-ons to that based on appearances and future transfer fees. That type of cash will allow us to re-pay our debts to Mr Hutchinson and Mr Boyle, and leave a lot left over, especially when added to the other recent transfer activity with McKinstry, Hastie and possibly Cadden. So the question is, what do we do with that pot of gold? The money we made from selling St John, helped to pay the costs of re-building the Main Stand, while the transfer fee from Phil O'Donnells sale to Celtic was more or less fired straight back out by Big Eck in transfer fees for the likes of Shaun McSkimming, Andy Roddie and Eddie May. Now that we are a fully-fledged fans-owned club, we are on the cusp of being completely debt free & we're going to have a surplus of cash swilling about, what should our priorities be? Does it allow us to spend that wee bit more on player quality now that we don't have Boyle and Hutchinson looking over our shoulder, or do we invest it in infrastructure...our own training ground, an area in the East Stand for proper 'safe standing', use it to help modernise the Main Stand (if that is at all possible). Its an absolute wrench to potentially be losing Turnbull so soon, as hes a joy to watch and clearly 'One of Our Own' but possibly the best thing he could ever do for the Club he supports is bring some huge money into the place that will help us not only safeguard the Club, but allow us to actually push on, in some way.
  22. I don't know, but if they did, I'd be all for it and keep that prick Lawell at arms length
  23. bitter-sweet though...I'd have loved to see him playing for us until Xmas. Looks like we'll need to wait until hes a 35year old multi-millionaire who fancies moving back up the road, before we see him in C&A again
  24. If the general price is set at £3,000,000 which I think is a reasonable price to set (alongside a few bonus clauses), AND a figure that won't completely scare medium-sized clubs off down South...we should be telling Celtic that we want £4,000,000 off them as additional compensation for selling to a direct competitor. Also, the bit where they've asked to be kept in the loop, my response to that would be 'aye, nae problem Peter, will do mate', before hanging the phone up and muttering, 'fuck you, ya cockend, you'll be getting told nothing'
