Look on the bright side. We could be in Hearts position.

Beaten by a much better side. Other results all went our way. 25 games gone and still 3rd.
Just got to keep going.
Rolando looks decent.

Tony Watt can be our “Si Ferry” style media man. Sits on a stool for an hour with a Stone Island tracksuit on, no socks and a pair of expensive trainers where he can review the dressing room banter and tell us how much of a “character” Charles Dunne is. Then he interviews current squad players and they can talk about all the banter and who has the most banter in the dressing room.
We can release the podcast as “Watt the fuck?”

It's a terrible fee to accept. In 2001 we got 900k from Wigan in League One for Lee McCulloch. Using the BoE inflation calculator that's £1.5m today. So basically we've sold Scott for 2/3rds of the McCulloch fee which is an utter joke. Burrows is lucky that most of our support won't realise this and think £1m in 2020 is the same as £1m in the 90s. He was banging on about phoning fans in the podcast so I'll await a call or text to explain this!
The only reason to sell now would be to strengthen the squad and instead we have signed another absolute no hoper. Robinson pushing Ndjoli as a striking option after starting MacIver in front of him is another slap in the face but to be fair he has other things on his mind.
The bottom line is we have weakened our squad this window when we are going for third, Europe and still in the cup. We have scored two goals from open play in the last 6 league games. We needed to strengthen if we have any ambition.
Oscar level fishing.

Piss-poor recruitment right there.

That’s nonsense. From what I’ve heard is that his attitude since joining has been shite. That’s totally down to the player. Motherwell signed a Danish international and ended up with a homesick dud.

CSKA Sofia letting Tony Watt leave for nothing this window. Big guy, plays up front.
? Should we be interested
He could be our podcast host, but I would keep him of the grass.

Outstanding result, I really didn’t fancy us tonight so credit to Robinson and the players. I reckon we are 6/7 wins away from finishing 4th at worst. Hopefully we can tick one off this Saturday.
I think the top four is sorted. I can’t see any of the teams below us putting on a run and I don’t see us losing game after game. This is now us on a season worth of games and we clearly out ahead of the chasing pack. It’s not a flash in the pan, we are up there on merit.

I agree that a striker should be our number 1 priority but I'm still concerned at at our lack of cover in central midfield. Yes, we have plenty of bodies who can play in central midfield but how many of them can play well in a defensive role? I'm not 100% convinced of Donnelly but he's the best we have and there's no-one to fill in for him when he's out as we've discovered to our cost several times. its quite a large squad that we have but slightly unbalanced in some areas.
O’Hara, Sloth and Maguire can all play in Donnely’s position. Out of those three I would say Maguire is the best backup option, O Hara I am not sure about and well Sloth - does he play football.

Time will tell as they say. We've heard this line before as Robbo doesn't like to broadcast his intentions to rivals.
We are very short up front and James Scott is not ready to play through the middle yet. If we are serious about retaining 4th place, never mind securing 3rd we have, as Spiderpig points out, got to strengthen our striking department.
Just putting this out there, but what if Robinson has done some scouting about and the players he wants don’t want to come to Motherwell and the ones who do are not good enough?
Also this squad over the last year is the third best team in the land and that includes 6 months without our best player.

Brain Easton had the game of his life. I agree we missed Donnely big time yesterday.
Bad result, but can’t grumble too much as to be third half at the winter break is more than any of us would have hoped for at this stage.
Anyway hopefully a fully fit squad against Dundee in a few weeks is what we need as these run of games over the holidays is hard to manage when you have a small squad.

Murphy would be a brilliant signing. Still top class when fit and has a close relationship with the club. Perfect.

We seem awfully unbalanced up front so hopefully that gets taken care of. I struggled to see what the plan was for up front at the start of the season and I'm no clearer now.

We are pushing for Europe so it seems to be working.

Outstanding result as it now means we are 22 points ahead of Hearts and that fanny Alan Preston in the BBC said that Stendel coming in could allow them to push for Europe!
Fuck of Alan you twat!

Out for 8 months for an operation on an injury that he never had and might never have needed? Whats going on here? This is gonna cost the club Millions!
What are you talking about? An injury he never had, he had an operation for fuck sake. Of course he had an injury! And he obviously needed it because if he didn’t he wouldn’t of had an operation! Do you really think doctors just make this shit up? Your off your head.

Aberdeen have pushed back the entry date for their new proposed stadium because the revenue they expected for selling pittodrie has fallen due to house prices in the area, according to sports sound yesterday. I’d imagine we’d be in the same situation if we tried to sell fir park
Not really. Houses in that area of Motherwell sell well and quickly. People want Knowetop and Dalziel catchment.

5-0 Motherwell.

Did any of you see the highlights of the dons v hibs game? Hubs cut them open at will. They are shite just now and we should have the confidence to demolish that pish back line.

We all knew a bad run was going to come. We know these guys are good enough, just need to get back on track and make sure we secure top 6 and then worry about if we can make Europe. I still maintain that to be where we are in the league is great and is more than I ever expected at the start of the season.
A bit too much panicking here, every team out with Celtic has had a bad run of games this season.
