  1. Oh aye, also had a banner getting behind Higdon. Seems it would have been perfect for today!
  2. We were (mostly) denied entry with flags/drum even after clarification these were allowed. The stewards began to pick people out individually and state that they would be "a risk to H&S inside the stadium" and one by one we weren't allowed to enter the ground. After arguing for about 20-30 mins we decided if one wasn't going in, no-one was (bar a few who'd entered before this happened). Their H&S representative in particular was a total prick, enforcing "her stewards" to block the gates to anyone who got off our bus so she could grant them access one by one if she thought they'd cause no harm in the stadium. Even when we told her we were going round to the office to complain she was straight on her radio ensuring all stewards ensured no 'Well fans were allowed near the offices in the Main Stand. Apparently the continuous beating of the drum and vigorous waving of our flags, she'd decide who was allowed in and who wasn't. Adopted the one out - all out attitude before we even got in. Even the police were trying to get her down from her high horse, backing us up saying we weren't causing any harm and only trying to do good things inside the stadium. Sadly she wasn't for listening to anyone today, so none of us got in. Big thanks to the OB up there I guess, helped us out a lot with this lass on her authority trip. Managed to get 3 of us into the home end with a spray-painted banner held up at half time saying "HEAVY HANDS = EMPTY STANDS". Not sure exactly how many seen it but it pretty much summed our trip up exactly. Oh well, hope she had fun today enforcing her shitey rules, won't stop us doing what we do anywhere else. Actually worse now there than at Celtic, and I thought that would be hard to top. Could have easily made another grand on admission alone from the lads on our bus; their loss and the pub landlord's gain!
  3. The aim is to have a card display however this isn't cheap and we need help from every 'well fan possible. Buckets will hopefully be out both on Saturday and against Killie at home to raise some finance for this and i think the bucket in the ticket office is a good idea so this will be pursued. All help is appreciated and as was said previously if we manage to raise enough cash we will be looking for some helpers to help set up if we reach our target and are able to produce the card display.
  4. I find it a tad scary with the amount of confidence everyone has. Hope for the best and hope we take a good vocal crowd through to cheer us on to the win.
  5. Also forgot to add, as most of you have said, the timing of the streamers is vital. After money has been collected and they've been purchased the choreography will be considered and we'll let everyone know as soon as plans have been made.
  6. Thanks for all the donations so far folks, we've made a good start on funding the display. Plans are being discussed amongst us at the moment in order to get money collected at the game tomorrow and hopefully we'll get our collection plans posted up here tonight/first thing tomorrow morning. As John said, if anyone is aware of any large spaces where we'd be able to get some banners/flags made up please get in touch. Also if anyone has an overhead projector they'd let us borrow it would be much appreciated. Thanks again folks! P.S. If we do manage to make the final, bigger and better plans are in mind at the moment.
  7. Whatever happened to the well boys ultra lot?I cant remember any efforts by them to recruit more numbers into there group. To be honest we were only 16/17 when we were doing displays week in week out and found time and money hard to continue with it. A lack of support both from the club and the fans didnt help either probably. Hopefully getting back to what we do best though.
  8. Cheers. Time, money and effort well spent into doing that. Hopefully able to do something for the semi too. Few ideas in the pipeline.
  9. Probably should have been organised a bit more in advance however it can still be done. Just takes a few to not go,spread the word etc why they're not going to pals and other 'well fans.
  10. As I said previously I would love to see no away fans turn up at rugby park on Saturday, would certainly send a strong message that things have to change. I understand Sellick are also planning a mass booycott at some point to show they aint happy with the amount of televised games with ridiculous kick off times. I hate missing games however its got to the point something has to be done as kmcalpine says. Whether that's boycott's or unsubscribing from tv channels.
  11. Game live on espn, with a ridiculous kick off time and not exactly cheap to get in. Perfect game for some sort of boycott surely. Can't see it being busy in the away end at all but hopefully if there is hardly anyone there then at least we're actually voting with our feet and showing we aint happy with stupid kick off times. I know a good few who are refusing to go for this reason. Hopefully others follow suit and kick off times like this dissapear soon.
  12. Was going to say the exact same thing. Total embarrassment that the whole country has heard that being read out...i just hope that people recognise this is not the view of all fans and only this muppet. Any chance u could go into the dressing room tomorrow and spout this pish to them, really fire them up for the win. Mon the 'well! Hope everyone going tomorrow is right up for it and make sure the players know we appreciate them.
  13. Add an official standing section to the end of the east stand ala Germany and reduce ticket prices for that section in order to try and create some atmosphere at Fir Park again. Or if we move stadium to incorporate this as part of a stand behind the goals. Bit of atmosphere and enthusiasm about the place will want more kids to come back rather than the dullfest we currently sit in at most games.
  14. Complete boycott of an away game is something i feel should be done to show we are unhappy with inflated prices, rising travel costs and stupid kick off times and days. I totally understand where most folk are coming from as i myself have missed away games i would never have missed in previous years down to the reasons i gave. However i dont think this is the game to do it. A win for the 'well will see us with another trip to Hampden surely the lads deserve our support for that.
  15. MFC 58,if you have no idea what you are talking about feel free to not comment. It saves the embarrasment of you looking like an idiot. What age is classed as young these days? I can assure you as big tache says these guys are a lot older than you think. There's a difference between people going to games and singing and encouraging the team, and people who go to fight. Moron!
