  1. Andy - I wondered if it would be interesting to do a similar poll for the loanees... to see which ones we think are worth retaining. However, looking at the list (Kelly, Nolan, Magloire, Hastie, Smith, Roberts) the results are probably mostly predictable. Kelly has been great, but I doubt he’ll still be here. I’m not convinced about Magloire and hope we can do better. Roberts has also been mostly decent and could be a good squad player, but I’m not sure is a ‘must sign’.
  2. Don’t know if this is even possible on the forum, but could someone set up a poll where everyone gets (say) 5 votes and you get to pick which of the out of contract (or any squad) players you’d like to keep?
  3. One like that with a wee helicopter logo above the badge?
  4. Any new Macron templates that could be interesting?
  5. I agree with you overall (I think Alexander has done a decent job so far) but I think it’s just how abject the Accies and St Johnstone games were (albeit with injuries as a partial excuse) that’s causing people to not get too carried away.
  6. Lamie excellent again (won most challenges, kept it simple)... Roberts good... Campbell back to his energetic best in the first half especially... Crawford busy... Kelly and Carroll for goal-saving interventions.... but has to be Cole for two goals and an assist
  7. Assuming Carroll isn’t available I think it’ll be that team, except Lamie for Magliore
  8. I agree, Kelly had been different class. He has age on his side as well, so that could help him get into the squad as third choice keeper with an eye on the future. Wonder if he’ll still be under contract to us at the time of the Euros, ie might we get weighed in with the UEFA appearance fee?!
  9. If I’d to choose, I’d like killie to go down. At least it’s one plastic pitch gone, and accies is a more enjoyable away trip (sometimes at least).
  10. That sounds like a Stephen O’Donnell press conference
  11. For all that people on here often have very different views... favourite players... hated players... the broad spectrum between the happy clappers and the pant wetters... I always think that the players that come in first or second place in these man of the match polls is a pretty fair reflection of how things have gone
  12. Considering the two games that came before it, that was alright... a good point and a rare clean sheet. On the positive side, every player played their part and all had at least one or two moments of good play. We looked much more solid and energetic, and in the second half even had a few minutes of what you might call 'pressure' around the St Mirren box. On the negative side, I don't think Alnwick had a save to make in 90 minutes, and we rely far too heavily on Tony Watt to create something going forward. And Kelly had to make a great save to make sure we didn't face another defeat.
  13. What’s the streaming equivalent of throwing your season ticket on the park? Losing your login password and not re-setting it?
  14. Cheers Andy, I'm fine for tomorrow... it's next week of the St Johnstone game I'm thinking about... although I'll have a look after the Accies game and see how quickly it appears.
  15. Does anyone know when the 'full match replay' becomes available on the streaming service after the game? I'm working on Saturday afternoon next week of the St Johnstone game, and just wondering if avoiding the score and watching it 'as live' on Saturday evening is an option. From looking at the archive of videos there, it appears that they're uploaded about 20 mins after the game, which would be ideal... but not sure if anyone knows that for sure. Cheers.
  16. Dare I say it but Lamie didn’t put a foot wrong. Agree with most of the other comments that Mugabi and Kelly were also very good. Although Kelly didn’t have anything other than routine work to do tonight, he just exudes competence. Excellent distribution too, just like Carson. They’re probably the best two long range passers of the ball at the club
  17. Good shout... I still think he can be a good player, for us or someone else... he's got pace, is OK in the air and fairly robust. If there's less pressure on him to create something every time he gets the ball and can simply get up and down the touchline, he might do pretty well as a left back in a back 3 / 5. I'm assuming he could learn / improve the defending side of things.
  18. I wonder what it was that attracted Aldred and McDonald to play in Brisbane rather than Motherwell
  19. Big Cedric's gone from West Brom to Charleroi in Belgium
  20. Do footballers' contracts not normally run to the end of June anyway? i.e. even if he signs for someone else, at the point of the tournament starting he's a Motherwell player?
  21. Maybe some of it, aye, who knows? I’m assuming though that if any bigger teams were seriously in for O'Donnell then they’d have blown us out the water on salary and he’d be gone.... so the fact that that hasn’t happened suggests MFC did have some negotiating leverage. I think the basic point I’m making is that the numerous window arrivals don’t necessarily represent ‘spending all the Turnbull money’.
