  1. Not having a go here as I respect your it's your opinion but have you given steelboy your password recently. Normally after most games I come on here and have a look at everyone's views as we all see the game differently, and for the past few years I've usually (not always) agreed with yourself and Andy P's summaries as neither of you could be classed as happy clappers or pant wetters to use everyone's favourite steelmenisms but everything appears to be a negative at the moment. It's absolutely your right to voice these opinions and I respect that but it seems like you have a real downer on the club and especially Robinson's management at the moment. Again I appreciate that you are worried about the future of the club as you feel we are going backwards but I genuinely don't think we have been anywhere near as bad as we were last year under McGhee's shambles. Anyway back to the game, Carson's red card has to be slowed right down to see it was a wrong decision so I have sympathy with the officials on thay one, McHugh looked like a red to me and Dunne's is just a joke.
  2. Craig moore gets a hat-trick for ayr at Albion rovers
  3. In todays Scottish sun Robinson says the midfielder is 99.9% signed but he won't be announced until next tuesday at the earliest as he's on holiday
  4. What worries me is this much talked about scouting system that we seem to have decided is the way forward. I'm not saying its been a total failure but I don't think its worked out any better(in fact i'd say its been worse) than using traditional methods of actually spotting a player rather than some sort of moneyball rip off. Interesting to note that as far as i'm aware our one really good signing in the summer (McHugh) wasn't scouted using this system and was in fact recommended to the manager by his then assistant who is now of course our manager. This was from an interview that Robinson did as Oldham manager when he talked about how he would have made McHugh his first signing if he hadn't already told McGhee about him.
  5. I can see it from milo's and al's point of view. When I was younger I was definitely in the milo club of letting a defeat leave me in a mood for at least a day as Motherwell were high up in my list of priorities in life. Now I'm older and have kids, there is a lot more perspective regarding a defeat and even after the most gut wrenching defeat at ibrox in the cup, I was gutted and upset for a wee while then the wife and kids came back from wherever they were and it was more or less forgotten about. Cheesy things I never thought I'd say when I was 16 and 17 thread for this pish
  6. I think he may well be out out reach but he certainly would fit in with the policy of development and selling on our youngsters. I certainly hope somebody at the club at least puts the feelers out and if we are knocked back fair enough.
  7. Dylan Mackin has just scored for Alloa
  8. Exactly imagine the stick Skippy last week and mchugh today would have got if they hadn't attempted to win the ball.
  9. Yes that picture was after he had won the ball, at the time I thought it wasn't even a foul and saw a replay on somebody's phone at the game. Lets just say it didnt change my mind, if we are sending people off for winning the ball (which it seems we are) then the game is finished.
  10. They say that the bad decisions even themselves out over a season, well we must be due some belters in the last quarter of the season
  11. Craigan didn't actually criticise cathro's ability at any point in the argument. His point was that the media seemed to be making out that he was the only modern, forward thinking coach in the scottish game. He did have a dig at him for almost encouraging this viewpoint but to try and put him in the same boat as kris boyd is unfair in my opinion
  12. Ah right, I just saw it yesterday and assumed he had fallen out of favour.
  13. The young Canadian keeper put up a tweet a couple of days ago that due to passport issues he wasnt able to sign so I doubt he'll be one of them. I noticed yesterday that ex Inverness player Marley Watkins had asked to be released by Barnsley. No idea whether or not they allowed him but he would suit the pacey left winger identikit that we appear to be wanting
  14. Let's all start guessing who the ex player who plays in marvins position is. I'll go for Andy Roddie (the only other person to have said this is that ginger excuse for a manager)
  15. It's never been officially announced but I can remember somebody asked flow on twitter and I've had a wee trawl back to find out that it's ex Port Vale player Martin Foyle who is head zof recruitment
  16. From a not at all selfish point of view I'm gutted it's on as I'm having to work tomorrow. Bloody paracetamol bringing the players temperatures down.
  17. Maybe mcghee didn't throw any subs on as each one adds another 30secs injury time. If we had made 3 changes then Partick would have won 4-3 Well done mark mcghee

    Relegation

I know it's a bit if your auntie had baws she'd be your uncle but if we hadn't lost all those last minute goals we would be sitting in 4th place just now.
  19. Ryan Williams (mentioned earlier in the thread) has signed for Inverness
  20. Apparently we are going to be chatting with faddy about an extended deal as it doesn't look like he's moving to America
  21. I'm sure dicker has been linked with Kilmarnock but that could be dead in the water now that lockinho has resigned
  22. Chalmers starts for the u20s so that would suggest to me hammell will be fine for Saturday
