Any of the lower league sides obviously but would settle for a home draw against Killie, Partick or even ICT. I think we would be capable of beating any of them on our day at home, and would be another premiership team out of the equation for the latter stages of the competition.
So we now have 6 strikers(moore Included) and 3 goalkeepers pulling a wage out of the club. Better get signed up to your £10 a month sharpish.
I realise Ripley wage will be debateable but we must be paying something.
Wonder if there's any chance of a further bid on deadline day for the boy Bolger from St Patricks? I dare say, if we offered 5-10k more than we did in the summer, they may be inclined to accept it on deadline day.
Grudgingly watched the highlights, it's worth it to see dom thomas celebrating when ainsworth scored the 3rd. That's what you want too see, hunger, desire & passion to win games, as well as ability. The guy would be first name on the team sheet on Saturday.
Based on our painful inconsistency, today should be an easy 3 points! Especially against a team that are probably banking on today being an 'easy' win for them.
Could be the perfect game to give our season a jump start. Fingers crossed anyway!
Sorry to be padantic but Qos have a plastic pitch so he wouldn't join them, but sadly I agree with you that that would probably be his best level. If I was St Mirren or Falkirk, I would be chasing his signature. The experience and quality he has could really make the difference in pushing for the championship title/play-off place, especially in what will be a tough league with rangers & hibs there. If hes fit of course.
I would also rather we developed him to play through the middle, in a number '10' role, similar to gauld at united or faddy even in his younger days. I think the silky skills & magic feet are sometimes wasted out wide these days as most teams will double up defensively on a winger. Behind a front 2, he could be a major threat for us and would be more appealing for a prospective buyer in the future.
