  1. Jack Vale scoring a goal a game currently. The Pound Shop Pound Shop's Bergkamp?
  2. Over here, it was on Tuesday night.
  3. The 1972 Miami Dolphins are the only team in the NFL to have a perfect season. Every season since then, after the last unbeaten team in the league has lost, everyone from that Dolphins squad has a glass of champagne to celebrate their record extending another year. I'm thinking about starting the same tradition for everyone that was at Hampden in 1991. Our select band remains the last people to watch a Motherwell team go unbeaten in the cup. Cheers! And make your choice...
  4. Another classic example of a misleading clickbait headline in the Herald today. Turnbull in 'other things' Celtic transfer exit suggestion actual quote from DT in the article:
  5. It's live on the Beeb so shouldn't be too difficult to find a stream. (Or use a VPN to watch it on iPlayer).
  6. The thing about cups is that every team that competes in them loses every year. Except one.
  7. Exactly what I was thinking. Sometimes, if all you need is a 3rd or 4th choice striker with experience of our league that's willing to play for us knowing they'll spend most of their time on the bench, then that is exactly what you get. And if they improve over the weeks to earn a starting spot, then that's a bonus.

    Club AGM

That is correct. If you have any questions about it, pop along to the AGM and ask. I've found in the past they are very happy to discuss things like this.
  9. I read an interesting article a couple of years ago about the success rate of clubs in trouble that changed managers into the second half of the season. Overall, it made no difference to their chances of avoiding relegation. The clubs that didn't change had the same (poor) percentage of relegation and survival as those that did. This was even more true for EPL clubs that changed managers with 10 or 11 games left in the season in a desperate attempt to secure survival. The reason is obvious, of course - at that stage of the season, you are stuck with the players that put you in that position. It doesn't, however, stop clubs hoping they will be the ones that buck the trend. Having said all that, Adams leaving was obviously the right call. I've never seen a more miserable manager at any club and it must have been a hellish environment for the players to be working in. The exact opposite of what you need to try and turn things around. By all accounts Martindale is the opposite, and has full backing of the Chairman and CEO because - to use that worn out phrase - he gets the club and has performed a few miracles there over the season. It sounds like if he does part ways, it will only because he's had enough himself. As poor as they have been, I still wouldn't put it past Livi to put a few results together and get themselves into 11th spot. They remind me of the Accies team that kept finding a way to stay up and playing on that plastic can give them an additional edge in their home games.
  10. Looking forward to the "Staying with Morecambe the Wise Move" headlines.
  11. Mandron scores apparently due to a Trevor Carson howler.
  12. If there is any striker out there converting "at least 1 in 3" they won't be anywhere near Fir Park. I'd be surprised if even Haaland is turning in those figures.
  13. Have you ever watched any cup game in any country at any time? One of the ideas behind the competition is to give teams in lower leagues a chance to win one-off games against higher league teams. It's part of the attraction. Take a scan through all the FA Cup results from this season and see how many teams have beaten opposition 2, 3 and 4 tiers above. A Scottish Championship team (on their home turf) in 4th place beating a Scottish Premiership team in 8th place on would be one of the least surprising results in the history of the cup. Can you imagine how boring it would be if the higher placed team won every tie in the Cup? Wouldn't even be worth playing - they could just go straight to an OF final every season. I know you feel the need to post something negative every match, but that was a poor effort. 3 - 1 to the silent a-sash-ins.
  14. The fact that we had so many good performances but Spittal was ahead of them all speaks to just how good he was tonight. The new midfield combination is starting to click too.
  15. And the Warnock love-in. I've nothing against the man, but I don't think he's hilarious just because he speaks with a Yorkshire accent, says words like "muck" and shouts at refs.
  16. Vale's finish was excellent too. For all the talk about "poking it home" the replay on the stream proved it was a bit better than that.
  17. He's already slagged off all of Scottish football, his players and his employer. Not sure who has left to be annoyed with.
  18. Well that and because Arsenal told him to go there. I really liked the guy and would loved it if he'd stayed. He played like an old school centre forward though, so not sure he needs total football to be more productive.
  19. Must vote poll. Make your choice...
  20. Classic hammering. 3 goals first half. Quieter second half. 2 late goals. Pleasing.
  21. Ideal world would be a strong performance and a win tonight and a blatantly offside goal to beat Imrie on Friday.
  22. We just gave Theo our player of the month, so one of them is going to end up disappointed.
  23. If we had someone who was based at the club full time the complaints on here would be "why are we wasting a wage on someone who just watches videos in his office all day instead of located for easy access to all the games in our target market?"

    The Pitch

I've heard unconfirmed reports there has been some root damage due to the hot air emitted from the Hunter Stand.
