  1. Rode our luck at times with some of the clear cut chances that Caley missed along with them hitting the woodwork a couple of times. But overall I thought that we were excellent and some of the football that we played was a joy to watch. Great to see Lasley finally having a go from distance and scoring a real beauty. Hammel & Law up the left, Hately & Humphrey on the right looking like real threats and excellent combinations, players compliment each other really well Only worrying part was hearing how many scouts from down south were allegedly up looking at Murphy as he is looking better than ever and he has matured into an excellent player, Caley defenders were shitting themselves every time he got the ball. Well done Mr McCall and all the boys.
  2. If his shot against Celtic in the cup final had gone in he would be a fucking legend.
  3. Fuck the strip, 63 year old with a fiancee, good on ye Auldyin
  4. Would rather a good old punch up, but I guess that your way might work as well. Less fun to watch though.
  5. There is only one way to sort this one out boys....
  6. B at a push, but as others have said something based around the main components used in the 125th year strip would be a sure winner. Never really been a big fan of A or C, D is horrible.
  7. Aww there he is SD's wee pal. Hiya.. Think we will do ok on Saturday fancy a wee 2-0 victory. No idea what kind of pre-season they have had but they have lost a few of their better players. Will be interesting to see how the guys get on in a proper competitive game against a team that we have struggled physically against on numerous occasions.
  8. 15mins, you getting slow in your old age.
  9. Forbes unavailable due to suspension, gutted for the wee man.
  10. Was firmly in the let's move camp, but after being at the old place again on Saturday I'm starting to change my mind. Must be getting nostalgic in my old age. Find the money to replace or upgrade the East & POD stands, one at a time over time - hell even level the pitch, yeah I know where the fuck is that money going to come from but I have real fears of what kind of stadium we would realistically end up with and what it would would do to the club if we moved to Ravenscraig. If we had a core support of 20,000 that go week in week out then I'm all for it, seeing as we have a core of around 3,500 I can't see why it is worth the hassle or how it would work financially.
  11. Ah the old double bluff, you old fox you, If only that was the truth.
  12. Heard this pish rolled out time after time, our version of Charlie Adam, what a load of shite. He was better than usual yesterday, did the basics well and had a couple of nice touches. Good on him and I really hope that he improves this season but in all honesty I can't see it. Looking forward to SD riding to the rescue to defend poor wee Ross Forbes, ever thought SD that if you didn't bite quite so much then less and less of these threads and comments would be posted. Just a thought like..
  13. Enjoyed that today, good game with us playing a lot of nice football. Hutch and Randy had a bit of a mare at times but apart from that I thought all the guys played well. Humphrey is frustrating guy to watch at times, poor first half apart from cross for goal but much more like it in the second half, more of that and he will have a good season hopefully. Looking really good down the left with Hammell and Law combining well, McCall has done a great job getting Law on board. Hammell's replacement at half time had a good half as well, missed who he was though, but good to know that we might have some cover there. Police Helicopter was hovering over the town centre for a while, anybody know what was going on? Lots of pissed up Leeds fans at the game.
  14. First time I've seen the team this season, pretty poor game overall but glad that Craigan got a few quid. Speaks volumes for the guy that he wasn't looking for a glamour or bigger game (NI select or something like that) but chose to celebrate it with the teams that he has played most of his career with. Nice to see a decent Thistle support and a few NI fans who had also made the effort to come to this game. Top man and top professional, hats off to you SC. Law stood out, head and shoulders above anyone else on the park IMO he was excellent, always looking for the ball doing good things when he had it nice passing good touch and nearly scored a belter after an excellent cut in from the left wing. Long may it continue.
  15. Sheridan had that "signed by Celtic so I must be good" pish about him. Occasionally showed some nice touches and scored a couple of good goals but didn't ever seem to want to get stuck in unlike the Juke who knocked his pan in for the cause even though he was only on loan. Main reason that the 'Well fans never really took to him IMO.
  16. Agree what what the rest of the guys are saying, definitely need "at least" the next size up from what you usually buy. Got mine through the post and it is way too tight need to get it up to the shop for a swap.
  17. You canny feckin say that right....it's in the site rules...
  18. When the feck are they getting shipped out, paid for mine on-line about a month ago still no word. Paid delivery as well.
  19. Not going, but then I'm not a real fan like the rest of you guys.
  20. Only thing with Las that is lacking is physicality, he is just a bit too slight for the role that is required in midfield. In my book it is totally taken for granted the job that he does and the shift that he puts in week in week out.
  21. Cheers - wasn't sure if that was just arriving in the shop date.
