Ainsworth narrowly beat out Moult, Frear and McHugh for me. Mainly because his arrival changed the game in our favour

I understand trying to soften the reaction to folk, and I fully agree that the sarcastic applause is awful, but the guy just has my head in my hands week in, week out.
He is an embarrassing shambles and if I never see him darken a Well jersey again, it will be too soon.

Not really. Norwich were looking to cut costs and reduce the wage bill, Ruddy is now 30 and on 30 odd grand a week. They also have the boy Rudd who is decent,a lot younger and probably on less than half what Ruddy is on. Plus McGovern who wd be cheap backup
Ruddy will find himself at an Aston Villa , Sunderland or the like
Sunderland as the Pickford replacement is an excellent shout.

I have no issue with this. Past worrying about these things. I just hope we pick up in performance and develop that into points in the coming games.

Fingers crossed that it goes well but I can't help but feel that it is further cow-towing to the senior players who seem to be all important these days.
I'd sooner have seen an impartial brush clear out the deadwood.

I can't help but feel that if folk hadn't heard of McGhee a few months ago, he'd be decried as an IMPOSTOR and a FRAUD.
But hey ho, just my thought.
I think some folk think that the Premier League in Scotland is comparable to...well...some actual leagues.
We have to get a manager folk have heard of. We can't scout outwith the 12 teams or so, in the same way as we sign players outwith the grim reality of the premier league and automatically they are haddocks, as everyone must be judged before a game.

I think it's fanciful to reckon that McGhee will start Ainsworth any time he has any other option. Doesn't seem to rate him.

I'm happy that Pearson is coming back, but I'm growing concerned at how many times we're having to go back go that particular well.
