  1. Done! That was really interesting actually, forces you to think about scenarios in the wider game, how they would affect us as a club, and articulate your thoughts on it.
  2. They didn't try to get around them, they just tried to arrange a groundshare whilst their new ground was built, and made an arse of it by arranging it with the wrong people.
  3. In the last 30 years.... Finished 2nd four times. Finished 3rd three times Top 6 fourteen times. Champions League once. Europa League five times. UEFA Cup three times. Cup Winners Cup once. Scottish Cup winners once. Top League Scorer twice. One of only three clubs to not be relegated. One of only four clubs (inc Old Firm) to play in Champions League. One of only four clubs to play in all four European competitions. One of only four clubs to split the Old Firm which we've done twice. Came within 5 points of winning the league. Aberdeen have also never been relegated, have four 2nd place finishes and have split the OF, but they have never played in the Champions League. Hearts have played in the Champions League and all four European Competitions, have split the Old Firm but only have two 2nd place finishes, and have been Relegated twice. Hibs have split the old firm but have never finished 2nd, have never played in the Champions League and have been relegated twice. Rangers, well....that could be debated in a hundred aspects til the cows come home. 30 years is just to give us a larger sample size and discount any "flash in the pan" or purple patch. In fact most of that was done in the last 10/12 years so it's not even as if anyone can point to "current wee team harking back to past glories". Anyone that thinks we should be aiming to stay up and anything else is a bonus, or who lumps us in with the Killies, Livi's, St Johnstone's of the world are absolutely bananas. There literally isn't a club other than Celtic who can clean sweep us across the board, and no other non-city club that's even in the discussion.
  4. It's got literally nothing to do with the opposition at all, it's not to try and be unpredictable or otherwise. It changes the angle you're able to deliver the ball into the box at, and as GazzyB said above it forces them to pull 2 defenders out of the area that we're trying to find space in. If we handed a note into the away dressing room before the game and told them we were going to do that with every corner, it would still change the angle, and they would still have to pull defenders out the box. It's got nothing to with anyone knowing.
  5. Yeah but it's not like a free-kick routine where you're trying to fool the defence...so then if you keep doing the same one then it defeats the point. It's just to change the angle of delivery.

    AndyP

Very sad news. That's both him and madwullie (more active on P&B than here) both gone within a few days of each other.
  7. My favourite Harry Cochrane moment was when Curtis Main threw him away.
  8. I have no memory of that top with the Untouchables sponsor at all, even temporarily! Still very confused
  9. Ahh yeah it is. Just got confused as it looked like your picture of the Kaiser was responding to the training top thing.
  10. I don't think that's the one Kat is talking about Andy, that one there was our official away kit. If I remember rightly I'm sure it's one that was white with and off-centre, vertical black stripe and "Untouchables" sponsor?
  11. Spelling mistake aside, what do you think a hamstring is?
  12. Jordan White made most of us lose our smile, so it's only fair.
  13. Most of my mates are Falkirk fans, and they couldn't believe Stirling wanted to keep him when they were trying to get rid.
  14. Wait, grizzlyg is in his 40's?? Genuinely had him as being 70 +.
  15. Also, that side was being absolutely slaughtered by the fans. That Clyde game was the turning point for Higdon as well, up til that point in all fairness we hadnt quite worked out his game and how he fit in to the side, but before that fans wanted him run out the club. After the Clyde game we really kicked off on an upward turn.
  16. Just touched on that as you were posting.
  17. Yeah but what if the performance he sees from a player in those videos, doesn't tie together with what he saw from the player in yesterdays training session, and he believes that he can give the tools to be able to start bringing that level of performance from the training ground into a match? In short allowing the new coach to, y'know....coach?
  18. How can anyone criticize todays lineup (whatever it may end up being), when the new manager doesn't know what any of them are like? Any chance he could get a look at them playing so he can decide for himself who needs shipped out? I guarantee he's never even heard of Ricki Lamie or Jordan White, let alone know what their ability is. Today is a complete write-off...we may need to accept a loss so he knows who needs binned. We should be extremely worried if he's just willing to take someones word for it. It seems bizarre to me that people are always convinced Robbo's issues were that he'd signed bad players. It could be equally as likely that what he was strugging with, was players who were great in training but found it difficult to transfer that into a full match. It's not necessarily about shipping players out, because it's not just as simple as players being good or bad. A manager who can look at a player who is performing well at training but poorly in matches, and find a way to help him transfer it across...is infinitely more valuable than a manager that just starts looking for better players.
  19. Tommy Wright would surely (and rightfully) be massively insulted at any short term offer, and tell us to ram it firmly up our backsides.
  20. It still boggles my brain how misguided people are about the Well Society and the whole fan-owned thing. As an individual, we effectively subscribe to a donation scheme, that's it. If you think it entitles you to anything...information or otherwise...then you need a wee bit of a reality check. You own a part of the club in the same way that someones Mrs has a certificate that says she owns a star in the sky.
  21. Just to come back on this, if there's anything in the Jason Cummings thing his brother hasn't heard anything about it. Given it would involve him moving home you'd imagine it would have been mentioned.
  22. It always surprises me when I'm reminded McCall followed Brown. For some reason the Stuart McCall era still feel s fairly recent to me, yet Brown feels a lifetime ago. It's posts like that that make me need to check there wasn't a manager or 2 in between.
