  1. Better than the 12.45 ko we had against Killie.....and the old 18.05 Sunday Sky kick offs But agree it with a previous poster this would have been a better idea against a more local club, St Midden or Killie, (which I would consider going away to on a Friday night). Again dont see the argument its too near Christmas, as are most games in December are !!!!! Possibly a reduced price/if you attend with a season ticket holder reduced price with a voucher from their book would be good idea. I work a variable rota which means I work 3 Saturdays in 6, so It suits me that Saturday as I'm due to work Ps I heard it was Big Higgy's idea
  2. Correct.......he has been bailed to January.........IF he is then charged....... a trial date will be set possibly a few months later........ possibilites the trial would not start/adjournments/legal arguements etc etc..... this could drag out for possibly well over a year or more.
  3. From google search...... What is 'Conspiracy to Defraud'? A conspiracy is an agreement between two or more persons to commit an unlawful act, or to commit a lawful act by unlawful means; the former applies to conspiracy to defraud. The offence does not depend on the conspirators committing the act; rather it depends upon them agreeing to carry it out. It is enough for the conspirators to know that their actions will result in the defrauding of the intended victim. What penalties are attached to 'Conspiracy to Defraud'? A conspiracy to defraud conviction has the potential to result in a custodial sentence not exceeding ten years, a fine, or both.
  4. Not match fixing..........;conspiracy to defraud From some of the bbc website article Concerns about the game, on 14 December 2010, were raised by the Association of British Bookmakers after a number of bets from the Liverpool area were placed on there being a sending off. In a statement, Merseyside Police said: "Detectives have today executed warrants at 10 addresses across Merseyside and Glasgow and arrested nine men as part of an investigation into suspicious betting activity. "The arrests are the culmination of a joint operation with the Gambling Commission and the nine who have been arrested for conspiracy to defraud are being interviewed by detectives. "Those arrested are a 29-year-old from Bootle, a 48-year-old from West Derby, a 54-year-old from Norris Green, a 26-year-old from Croxteth, a 22-year-old from Kirkdale, a 31-year-old from Litherland, a 68-year-old from Fazakerley, a 36-year-old from Kirkby and a 26-year-old from Glasgow.
  5. Different law down souf.......Police Aand Criminal Evidence Act 1986... Every one gets arrested on suspicion of what the crime was.....then they have 24hours to play with.......untill charge......but you can be bailed to re attend.at a later date..........if he is held for 4 hours to day....they still have another 20hrs to play with!
  6. HIGDON has scored 35 goals in the SPL from 130 appearances, We are sitting 3RD in the SPL and are unfortunate to be out off the league cup........... HIGDON is not and never will be my favourite MOTHERWELL player and is not the all round centre forward, but I will be giving him more than 8 competitive games and 3 goals befor I write him off. Roll on Saturday.... .....goodnight
  7. I feel the same about Jamie Murphy tonight............... come to think what about the chances Laws had ?????? The bottom line is Michael Higdon put in a decent shift tonight, won headers in all areas of the pitch, linked up play, layed on a goal, scored a goal, slotted his penalty not bad nights work for our centre forward..... But he seems to be the target for or boo boys....FFS lets give him a chance....some of the neagativity towards our players from some of our "fans" is shocking, Guysin front of me in the DC seemed disapointed when he scored his pen......Murphy hits his "hard luck Jamie".......Then its "Naw not Forbes"....who then scores one of the best pens of the shoot out.....then is "Hard luck Nicky". We all have our opinions/favourites......but lets get behind the players and the team FFS !!!
  8. How would you rate Jamie Murphy tonight................apparently he still plays with us......... " Lionel" Sutton cant get a game with hearts !!!!
  9. After tonights performance, time Murphy had a little spell on the bench....seemed to have a total lack of interest the whole 120mins and his penalty was a pass back I blame mccall he should have been off after 60 mins !!!!
  10. Have not been to Parkheid for a good ten years,so I cant comment on what has and hasnt happened over the last few visits. But does anybody actually take time to write to Smeltic and complain about the stewards or to Strathclyde Police and complain about the actions of the officers involved ????? I hear the cries "It will just get brushed under the carpet",but If you dont complain about the individual stewards/officers they will contiunue getting away with it and continue week after week. Or dont go..............simples !!!!!
  11. In our last 2 games last season against Killie, dd he not kick the Humph of the park ??
  12. Same old same old,.........lose a goal from header a set piece, plenty of of the ball in the first half, but little threat The lack of urgency a times in the second half was shocking, why was Murphy continually getting deeper and deeper and getting mixed up in the middle of the park ?
  13. Take it you dont go on the offcial site.........lazy journalism as usual.....just a rehash what the club released on 9th Aug Murphy remains cool despite rumours Tuesday, August 9, 2011 var addthis_product = 'wpp-255';var addthis_config = {"data_track_clickback":true};Jamie Murphy has insisted that he is in no hurry to leave Motherwell after yet another splendid individual display kicked the rumour mill into top gear. Several scouts were present at Fir Park at the weekend – including several from the Barclay's Premier League – to watch the young striker slot home the winning goal against Hearts. And although Stuart McCall has yet to receive any bids for his 21-year old star, the talent scouts are likely to take rave reviews back to their managers. In typically measured style, Murphy is keeping calm and says he will consider his future if any bids come in. I have grown up in Glasgow with all my family and friends and I love playing football at Motherwell.A decision process that he says will include asking advice from some of his colleagues who have made similar moves – not always with dream results. "I try not to focus on it too much," Murphy said. "I try to let other people do that and until someone comes in with a bid I can't do anything but play my best for Motherwell. "I have grown up in Glasgow with all my family and friends and I love playing football at Motherwell. "There are players in the dressing room at the moment who have moved down south, like Hammell and Lasley, and they would be good to go for good advice if a bid does come in. I am not even thinking about it until something actually happens." The former Scotland under-21 international is clearly reluctant to invite any bids for him as he knuckles down for another successful season at Fir Park – and he is equally defensive regarding any bids for his team-mates. He continued: "All the boys are great and there is a great team spirit. I have been here for ten years and grown up with a lot of the boys and they are some of my best friends, and if we can keep the group together it will be good." The likes of Murphy, Humphrey and Jennings are the ones attracting the plaudits and the envious glances from other clubs, Motherwell's all-time European top scorer was quick to praise the 'Well backline. In a blistering start to the season Motherwell sit atop the SPL, and have yet to concede a single goal – no mean feat from three outings. "They were excellent again; Craigan and Saunders did brilliant," he effused. "Tom Hateley and Steven Hammell were excellent at full back, and then Darren Randolph behind them. With a defence like that you are not going to lose many goals. "As long as we are in the top six and can finish as high as possible, it has obviously been a great start to the season. If we win next week we can hopefully stay in the top six for the rest of the season."
  14. Sorry guys any chance this was going to be a good game has been reduced dramatically ................Brines is in charge !! :wank: :wank: :wank: :wank: :wank: :wank: :wank:
  15. The problem with that Pony kit was the "pony" shorts ! Nice pair of white shorts with C+A trim, hooped socks would be ok........for 1 season ! Moan the hoop !
  16. Scunny more attractive then Motherwell.......... Djilali and Gunning join Scunthorpe United on trial Scunthorpe United are giving trials to former Crystal Palace midfielder Kieran Djilali and Blackburn Rovers defender Gavin Gunning. Djilali, 20, was released at Selhurst Park this summer whilst left-back Gunning, 20, has been granted permission by the Premier League club. The pair will feature away at Rotherham United on Wednesday and will be joined by the return of two other trialists.
  17. Bland Xara template. IMHO......the hoop/band claret and amber is our identity as a club. The kits produced by Puma over the last 2 seasons have been the best kits for decades.......credit to Provan sports ...........long may it continue !!!!!
  18. The best Well kit since the 60's It has all the things a Motherwell strip shoud have,a hoop, white shorts and hooped socks ! Should have been the strip for the rest of the season.
  19. I heard last night the reason the new kits is late is because News of the World hacked Alan Provans phone and pinched the design before it got to Puma.......... Jesus Christ some people get their "Alans" in a twist over the most minor things on this board...........do we get deducted points for not having the kit on sale before the first league game ??????
