    Fans' Game

Just watched the highlights on MFCtv. Looked like a right laugh. I did bid for a few spaces but my limit wasn't high enough. I'd be right up for it.
  2. He is just one of those honest, solid professionals that know what he and the club are both about and it suited him. Fact that he is our most capped player at international level with 50-odd caps and was captain of his country speaks volumes about the guy. Indeed, the Norn Irish fans hold him just as high regard as we do. Thanks for the memories and the many great nights.
  3. Thought we played really well today. When I heard the teams I thought we would miss Higdon but we played with the ball on the deck and Murphy and Ojamma were playing off one another and gave the Rangers back line a right headache. Unlucky with Ojamma's chance and IIRC Hateley's in the 2nd half. They weren't very good at all. And while I would've taken a point, a wee bit disappointed we never took all three. Only a wee bit though... Onwards to the Champions League!!!
  4. The right one, simple amber hoop/band with claret background. Surely we won't meet a team with claret & amber colours in the qualifiers...
  5. This! Best signing McCall has made.
  6. Whoever scores the winner on Saturday Jay? Tbh, I can't really say who should be POTY. As mentioned, you could quite successfully argue the case for everyone to get it from Randolph to Higdon. But I would be inclined to go for Hammell. He's our vice-vice captain and has had to step up to lead the team on a few occasions when suspensions have hit. He has not put a single foot wrong all season and his screamer against the sheep was a valuable goal at a time of the season where we had to keep the momentum up after going out the cup. Only reason I haven't went for either Jennings or Lasley is the amount of bookings and suspensions they have picked up. Although I do realise that the role they play in the middle of the park means that they will pick up more bookings a lot more easily. And I do know it's nitpicking but when we have been without one of them, we do seem to struggle a wee bit more. In short, Jennings brings the best out in Lasley and vice-versa IMO and their partnership is one of the main reasons to our success. But it's Player of the Year, not partnership or forward/back line of the year. And to me, Steven Hammell has been our best player this season.
  7. I'm not the only one that's getting a wee bittie excited reading this...
  8. Really? Are we really going to start this with Higdon again?

    Rival Watch

That kind of positive thinking isn't allowed here (by some...)
  10. If you had read my post properly, you'd see that I wasn't actually meaning that we will win because the league's won. But why let that get in the way of a good rant, eh? But did you really think we were gutless and inept against Rangers a couple weeks ago? I though we played not too badly, just a defensive error at the end let us down. And at Porkheid, another lapse let Hooper through for the winner. But I guess our fans just want our team to do well, even if that means they are kidding themselves. Celtic and Rangers aren't our big games. The games against St Johnstone, Dundee Utd and Hearts are far more significant than the OF games. Anything else is a bonus.
  11. Think we may surprise them, because their season is over... You forgot that one UBH Fuck it. we'll just have to wait and see.
  12. Been dropping hints to the missus all day. How much do we think they will go for?
  13. Unless Hearts finish in 3rd place , The cup winner goes into EL.
  14. What happened anyway? (Just being nosey now...)
  15. I agree. This really is a water shed moment for Scottish football where we may see "fan power", or however you want to call it, coming back. We have it to an extent with the Well Society but reading other fans forums, most non-OF fans are very much of the same opinion as myself and would walk away from SPL football. Perhaps our chairmen will suprise us...
  16. Well no. Once Rangers go out of business, there will be no Rangers but a space free in the SPL. Their punishment will be liquidation and loss of 140 years of history. No more "54 and counting". All those 5 star tattoos will be redundant because they will be gone. There will be no CVA but liquidation and selling off of assets to pay off creditors. If whoever buys Ipox wants to start up a new club, they will be more than welcome to apply to the SFA and SFL to join the league. But the SPL is a cabal of greedy money men thinking about £££'s and self-preservation rather than the long term good of OUR game. And their short-sightedness will be the death of the game in Scotland.
  17. I'm the same. Go to League and Scottish cup games. I would find it hard to go back with any form of enthusaism knowing all the clubs are after is cash. There's a couple Junior sides that will be seeing my hard earned on a regular basis.
  18. IMO, we will have 3rd wrapped up if we beat St Johnstone and Dundee Utd regardless of other results. The fact that these two games are at home is encouraging as our home form has been good lately (Defeats to Rangers and Aberdeen IIRC this year)
  19. Motherwell vs Dundee United last day of the season. Could be a great day, or already sealed and time for a party... Well done SPL.
  20. They will win the league at Rugby Park this weekend. They only need a point and Rangers will revert to type and getting beat after lifting themselves for their two closest rivals (Us and the smellies). HOTD for this pish (Always wanted to say that... )
  21. Allegedly a cracking header according to my brother in law who was at the match (and is a fanny and has never been to a Rangers match...)
  22. 1-0 McMoist with a header... Fucking hate the wee bastard as well!!! 11 vs 11 at the end of the day. Fuckin' intae them! (Been drinking all day now I'm watching big Softy score a screamer in the 3-0 game in '91!)
