  1. Born in Motherwell, a spell in Netherton, high school and early work years in Overtown with a return to Motherwell when I flew the nest. Move to Upper New Stevenston, christened as such when my old man threatened to write me out of his will for moving to Carfin! So up where the whisky bond once stood and the wee man remains in an ML1 postcode.

    Aberdeen

Jennings by a country mile and then some!
  3. Felt it was along similar lines as most games I've been to this season. Controlling proceedings though failing to kill the opposition off. Josh Watt a favourite today, mesmerising at times.
  4. You must love skelfs, the amount of fences you sit on...
  5. Nothing to do with the kid being on a caution and being combatitive as the team were in that late spell? Good management and not a reflection on how you percieved his performance as poor? Hell, I feel he could have proved that telling pass required when Kilmarnock set-up to cancel us out (that's right, not fooled by what's peddled in the media 'this forward style' of them and St Midden is a work of fallacy) in both games and perhaps against Celtic.
  6. Without a word of a lie, performance of the day was from Stephen Craigan. Changing hair colour like he'd done today took some magic.
  7. Spoiled as a contest after 10 minutes. A tangle of the legs, a red card by the letter of the law. Discipline went a little, card happy ref nullified the Motherwell midfield for them. Still the better team, a brave effort clawing their way back twice. Creators of their own downfall with mistakes allowing Accies an unlikely win. After witnessing the worst ever onside decision by a linesman in my life, I'd have loved to have seen a game of even numbers...
  8. Been at more than a few this season and I think it's the first time I've seen him play... The system was different on Friday from the norm - perhaps due to personnel availability, but, similar to that of the first team with the midfield challenged to support the lone striker. This kid definitely looked the part.
  9. Mentioned by some today, that's the information given on the SPL website and not to be taken as fact.
  10. 3-2 against a stuffy Kilmarnock side today. 2-0 and comfortable until the referee awarded a penalty that never was which afforded Kilmarnock an unlikely comeback. Kilmarnock then equalised and controlled for the last 20 with the winner coming against the run of play with the last kick of the ball. Penalty decision changed the game. Heavy pitch after 1st half deluge didn't help as Motherwell tired. Similar to most matched this season where the kids would have been out of site having taken their chances. Highlights: Hetherington and creator of the first and scorer of the second Watt(?). Notable mention for Jack Leitch - probing runs from the midfield behind their defence in last 5 minutes catalyst for the winner.
  11. Good result for us lastnight methinks, another false dawn... Expect to pick up the daily rags and have them earmarked for Europa League glory. Dreamt the other night we were chanting 'Sacked in the morning' at he with the discoloured teeth so we must have been winning (note to self: nae cheese before bed). Don't care how we do it, just get it done!
  12. Same for me, one of the best away days sullied. That's why THE bus is proving a little more popular this week... Full and standing last I heard
  13. McHugh tripped over a juice bottle warming up for the bounce game on Tuesday past... Don't let him kid you on.
  14. The streaker on the Sunday evening match was against Rangers as he shook hands and put an arm around Artur Numan. He had a pair of footy socks stuffed down the front of his unflattering underwear. Briefs on a fella his age, just not right.
  15. Motherwell supporters/forum sycophants/strokers in not wanting genuine ability added to our thin squad shocker! Fully paid up from Norwich, he gave me the impression he won't be hard to deal with given it settles his home life...
  16. Don't buy the 'we can't compete with St Mirren and Motherwell for wages' line... Was informed the football budget differed at Kilmarnock to the tune of £500,000 in their favour. Used as a bargaining tool to little effect I hasten to add. Admirable the vast array of contacts used to the fullest and creative use of the budget - doesn't hide the fact they've won 3 out of what, 20 games?
  17. I have a feeling too - You are a sad loner, do the honourable thing...
  18. Latest offering would bring a tear to a glass eye! Onwards and upwards...
  19. Can only echo what's been said. Dunfermline can consider themselves extremely lucky. It would have been stopped had it been a boxing bout.
  20. Have had the chance to watch most 19's matches so far. The scouse kid at the back and his no nonsense partner impress complimented by Zaine at left-back. Mentioned Hetherington previously and Hermann makes strides with each game - his individual piece of brilliance yesterday before striking the bar lit up the match for me. Notable mention for McGachie(?) up front - tireless worker. Pattern followed many games this season - if the finishing clicks, somebody is going to be on a hiding. Big up Mr Young too.
  21. Dee, any written testimony available from the powers that be at Kilmarnock or Dunfermline to support your aims? I'd suspect Mr Marshall would be able to source from the clubs and match commanders in question. Only mention that sow by name once, club official or representative for the rest of the piece. If our link up there is anything to go by, administration is looming and I'm sure the recipient will frown upon any loss of income no matter the level.
  22. Head down and arse up whilst biting his pillow for some on here.
  23. Left with about 10 minutes to go so never missed any goals. 1 nil not a true reflection on how much the kids dominated the match. Hetherington a standout - bigger chance as Carswell progresses? Notable mentions for the back 4 including Zaine and the other scouse fella. Encouraged by the strength of Hermann...
  24. What is there to understand? A poster asked why I posted woosh to your post and I gave an explanation... Added in your ingnorance for effect. Simples.
  25. Guilty as charged, yer ever so great internet Officer Dibble sir! Well, in reply to the latest pissy pantedness that was star sail... Tongue fimly in cheek comment with regards Celtic and ignorance towards our fans and the following poster jumped right in, hence, the woosh. I make no apologies if it dosn't fit with your internet etiquette. An ignorance that knows no bounds? You bet. As you mention above - Connection to Motherwell? Deary me, it's one side of the coin, a British subject waving the nations flag in the United Kingdom and that's the retort? Somehow feel. if it was a saltire held aloft, little would have come to pass on this thread... On the flip side, the points you make are equally as valid and believe as I mature my thoughts align with similar viewpoint. Before? I'd have thrived on using the union flag in this way, but, times have changed... Don't require flag, nor collarette or secret organisation membership to let them c***s know what I am.
