  1. tree try this. last paragraph. Talks of sitting down with each player and going over the master plan. Am looking forward to what happens in january. Wish list is for not to lose anyone and get a couple of options up from, though would like to see the youngsters get a go as well. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ell/8392955.stm
  2. Anyone got any info on the trialists that we have had. Think it was rickoza who had posted an entry about a swedish guy born in uganda or something can't recall the exact details as you can see.

    Aberdeen

with aluko out then surely this is one for Sutton and the duke to be up front. Hamel back at left back reynolds saunders and Moutaouakil. Midfield of coke jennings o'brien and forbes. But would have to go for a diamond. With o brien on the left but allowing hammel to get up and down and mouto on the right. Crosses in for the big two to stick away. Forbes at the head of the diamond when we have the ball to drive aberdeens midfield back and help our defence to isolate their strikers. Its easy on paper. think 3-0 well. All you need to do is pin up M Mcghees comments over the last few months about us being a smaller club etc.
  4. point is he is a under 19 international with what would appear to be a goal scoring record. The young guns are added to and if we get him on any deal we could sell him on if he turns out to be another rosco etc. Especially with the lad from everton looking as if he will go back there. (see his comments when he picked up the player of the month)
  5. On the bbc there is video of gannon talking about his manager of the month award. He states that the players he would want to leave are the ones not on the team sheet. Crags is/isn't on the team sheet as is lasley. Are they too expensive for us? If we sell them on can we then keep the likes of Ruddy and Duke, coke longer than a year etc. If not then it will be players such as lasley/fraser etc who will be asked to come in and do a shift. What motivation is there for these palyers to play for a manager who has publicly said yer shite. Would question why gannon went public with this. If we can sell them and keep/extend deals for the youngsters loanees all well and good. Ganon though has been saying he has a small squad. Will he be able to bring in better quality than what is already there? interesting times.

    Loanees

A number of our players such as duke etc are on loans. Who should stay? who should go? has anyone heard anything about extending the loan spells? Duke needs games and he will defo get them here. Yassin looks to be getting some sharpness back Ruddy seem to recall we have an option to buy him. Looks to be a decent goalie. Is fraser better? how would seb fit in? Coke I think has been great, but if he leaves we have some midfield cover. Jennings las etc.
  7. Absolute magic. Slightly off topic but if the Scottish women qualify for the world cup whos up for going? Tartan army with the pink tops
  8. Mon the well thought the weather might be an equaliser but seem to be doing good. Glad the loanee scored hope this gives him confidence to get a barrel load.
  9. Giood stuf. Hopefully this will encourage the other youngsters to sign on long term.

    Signing #7

You would think we could wash the carpet before a photo op! Think he will fit in well to motherwell, especially the bit where he talked about going for a wine with his mate. Think we should play the bond theme if eh scores. Looks another good prospect and in his own words might want to stay or am I reading too much into the interview.
  11. Goalie - smith was ever present in goal last seaon and did well, overall. Working with the defence we had then thought he did good. In comparison Fraser looked to loose a lot of confidence early doors and was weak against the cross. Ruddy has come in and looks decent overall thoug he is still a loan signing so strong for now and will have to see what happens in Jan - weaker as it is a loan Defence about the same. Maclean was right unlucky with injuries and hope he goes on to do well for himself. Craigen, Reynolds, hutchison saunders page, bond (though a loan) , hammell, hately all look good it is just a matter of getting the right blend. stronger - more depth and youngsters look to have potential Midfield lasley and fitzpatrick are on the bench which perhaps shows the depth of players we have here. JG will have to give the guys all a fair crack an rotate to avoid burn out etc of folk like Forbes et al. Coke only on a one year deal I think so could see him buggering off but for this season I will go for same as we lost hughes who was immense - but if these young guiys go on to improve/contribute then stronger Up front. Humphreys to be transfered to a forward...? Worked for Henry so watch this space. Definately weaker. Clarky was brill tireless, and scored a fair few as well. also think he was the perfect foil for sutton. The only othe rcompetition for sutton is again the youngsters and the pole who again is a loan signing. Hope these loan signings can stay or that it gives us time for folk like page to develop into the player they clearly have the potential to be. will be interested in seeing what happens with the lads up front. As for potential this is a team who has such great potential we should be looking to sign these guys on for 5 years etc. That way when they do move to sit on the old fim bench we can get decent money for them.
  12. all the best chris to you and your family. hope it works out well.

    Signing #6

Thats probably why everton went in for him welcome to the well, big man. Just to get yer gander up Mutley wouldn't have signed you your 2 inches too small..... go prove him wrong.
  14. As for MM, I thought he handled the death of O'donnell well and supported the family. I heard last nigth that he only visited Phils wife once. Am disappointed in that, thought he was better.
  15. Aye good luck v Coventry. If hartlepool can beet them should be easy. Good luck for the season ahead
  16. Thanks somes, thats good of you. hope you and yours are smashing!
  17. They will be right up for this with what I would imagine to be a big crowd. Day 1 opener with a team they will have hopes of competing against all season. They will be champing at the bit to get at us and put cross balls in. 4-0 well
  18. With anothe rmidfielder coming in surely that means an end for fitzy? Would like to see us raid the smeltic youths and reverves, where by all acounts there s a good few players to be had. Particularly with no reserve league what playing time will these guys get. Am sure JG knows this though. Looking forward to the end of the month exciting times.
  19. Probably a dodgy pie and the rain but apart from that don't think your team will have too much to worry about. The scouts from the old firm might be there though to try and take away some of your decent players. Will be happy with a draw and over the fecking moon with a win.
  20. Well said. Think everyone appreciates that the 8-1 in the previous round was a geat result but the europa cup started with Steau. No harm in losing to them from the reports I have read. Indeed they got any other wonderkids that we can loan? Mon the Steau but mon the well mair! 3-0 to the well...
  21. Think we need botha big power house and a mobile run into channels dude. Not seen a lot of the kids so they might do in either of these roles. If he goes for the one up we need a big guy able to hold up the ball ad let slane etc catch up in the final third. Sutton I think is a little bt short of playing this roll. Think he is better running onto the ball than holding it up. a fast dude to give us the counter attacking threat as we have good speed on the flanks so a striker that can take advantage as someone said a team is at its weakest when it has just lost the ball. With speed we can capatilise. How though that would fit into Gannons 4-2-3-1 shape I don't know. Desperately need someone in up front as it is goals which will get you up the table. Might be doing the kids though a slight, They will no doubt want to use the time on the itch to the best and stake a claim. Would like to see them develop. On the other hand want a clarky who can bag loads of goals for us. Deviland the sea.
  22. Was pat knocked back by another SPL club? As for slane and indeed all the young guys all you have to do is look at the wembly cup. pre season friendly and 3 youngsters got about 20minutes time. few of them looked fairly tidy on the ball but they will never get a chance. example Maloney. Came on the scene like a rocket. scored wonder goal against rangers how many games did he play for them then goes down south. brought back up and again how many games did he play. In my view smeltic are probably the better at bringing through there youngsters on the basis of mcmanus and o'dea who get regular games but even then for the youngsters this is the season for them when they show what they can do. Nothing wrong at this point with the club taking an educated guess (they see these lads every day in training) and signing them for 3 years or so. Look at the difference in money between fletcher and clarkson. It will pay itself back with intrest and all we need is for one of these lads to hit the heights. From the players point of view play well get a move. Go now never be seen again until you go to league 3 down south or up here. Just look over the past few years as to the youngsters we got off the old firm who did a good job for us. Better to stay and play than go and wallow.
  23. Maybe he was talkign about that belgian lad that we were linked with from Man utd. Seems strange though if he has signed today as to why there is no announcement unless they ae trying to generate some more positive press coverage tomorrow.
  24. Just watch the singing over there. Got this from Scotzine.com Owner George Becali is a highly controversial figure and has been labelled an authoritarian and dictator by both the media and fans alike, with his involvement in the club. He uses the club to promote the New Generation Christian Democrat Party, which he runs, and he banned Freddy Mercury songs from being played in the Steaua stadium on the grounds of the late Queen frontman’s sexuality. But does he do the Fandango?
  25. Thought the youngsters sounded good though O'brien was in trouble from the off for the first 10 mins. Crags sounded super in the sence of his passing. Forbes was amazing as was Slane. Murphy well that will be celtic in for him again. Hope he realises he will get games here but sit on a reserve bench over there. hutcheson looked good. The albanians collapsed after the second goal which helped us but surely that will be a big confidence boaster for the season. Hope we can use this and get the strength of depth and bring in some more player. This game will bring on Jennings and humphray, so all good. Now does anyone know where you can get highlights?
