It does seem an odd thing to do. I mean are they really that stupid to believe the refs would fall for that. Surely it’s bollocks?

If true heads will roll. Honesty is usually the best policy, except when a strike is declared, the truth appears to have been the first casualty.

Fair point. Although with only two teams capable of winning the SPL and the national team performing well below par, the overall future of the game in Scotland isn’t looking too bright. Other countries have problems, it’s just that ours seem to be getting progressively worse every year. I just hope for the sake of our game the SFA, Refs and the managers can get together and sort this recent mess out once and for all.

The game has been a bogey for years, this latest fiasco has only confirmed to the football world just how bad we really are.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they have been fed some pish about why our refs can’t referee the matches. I expect there is a sickness bug sweeping through the referees village, where all the SFA officials live.

Who knows. But I suspect they will not have been given the full story and have been fed a few Dougie MacDonald porky pies. I wouldn’t be surprised if some still refuse on hearing their fellow refs argument.

I wonder just how honest the SFA has been with the referees who have agreed to do the games. Normally in these situations you would expect fellow referees to support the strike.
