Where is he?

Keiran Kennedy scores for Wrexham.
-
If Tommy Coakley had got his hands on the club, the stadium would be housing and we'd probably have been the most recent Clydebank.
-
Craig Moore scored for Ayr United.

Illic is back in the squad, but what has happened to Sloth?
Taking O'Hara on loan was probably a give away that we wouldn't see Sloth feature much, if at all.
I can see Scott leave on an 'Erwin type' transfer. He's been good this season and has lots of potential. I thought he'd be a Lee McCulloch type, physical presence up front, but he's a player with considerable technical ability.
Turnbull should be aiming higher than Celtic when fit.

Think players have started leaving decent sized South American teams to go to the MLS. Whether this says more about the decline of South American football, I don’t know. Most of the best players are in Europe as teenagers now.
Its no longer just a retirement home for star players though.
Cadden isn’t going to play in La liga or Serie A. So MLS is a great opportunity. No language barrier, good lifestyle etc....
The packages being offered in the MLS, with clubs offering houses and schooling for player's children, along with the potential in endorsements from the likes of Nike, means the MLS is hoovering up talent in Mexico.

Given our dearth of left backs in recent years, I be delighted if we had 3 to chose from. In reality, we'll have to make do with two and one will always be injured.
We've never replaced Hammell, in over a decade, maybe?

I hate Dom Thomas and the Conservative Party. Hope that clears things up.
I'm sure the feeling is mutual.

I’m offended that your offended by my offensive quote about offensive Tory posh cunts.
I threw in a political curve ball at the end there to make it a bit more offensive to the offended.
Interesting.

I read on Twitter that Hastie had played and done quite well.
Actually, forget that, it was another game Hastie played in. A friendly.
Hastie wasn't listed in the match squad in Gibraltar.

Anyone know about the Cadden situation?
He's left the club, but has he signed with anyone and is there a potential fee due to us?

After watching the last 2 Scotland games. First name on the team sheet for next one should be Turnbull. Can’t do any worse than what’s been on display.
Totally agree.

Petravicius should have been nowhere near our club. The fact he was continually given game time doesn't mean we should lower our expectations and accept journeymen who failed at our rivals.
Which rival team did Petravicius fail at before us?

I was speaking to someone who knows Ciftci well.
Seems he had a nightmare in Poland and didn't settle. As for Plymouth, Adams was arrogant and alouf with him. No surprise there.
He seems keen for a fresh start and recapture his Dundee United form.

Aside from the Moult contract situation, I can see is getting offers for Cadden and Campbell in January.
-
He's held in high regard in Lithuania.
-
Dunne in the middle, Tait left back and Grimshaw right back?
Speculation, but we've got Plummer to step up.
-
He's Lithuanian and thought of highly by the national coaching staff. I'm fortunate to have quite a reasonable knowledge of Lithuanian football.
For some reason I thought the new player was Latvian not Lithunian. Which is it?

Sad that our last best defenders were back in 1993!
Big Mitchell might be the exception.

Great news. Struggling to recall a central defender who had the same combination of dig and quality on the ball for many a year...maybe since the great Buff Martin?
Miodrag Kravokapic?

Good insight - thanks.
My initial feeling was that this appeared to be an impulse buy, so to speak. He had only been with us for a week and has not played a lot of senior football in the UK. That said not sure how much senior football either Skippy or OJamma (to think of 2 players) had played in U.K. and they turned out to be decent signings.
With our wage budget we probably need to take some risks as buying the finished article or someone who is on everyone's radar is unlikely. Which means even a 50/50 success rate is quite high. So out of Newell and the Lithuanian boy unlikely both will turn out to be 1st team regulars this season or next. Time will tell.
Ojamma had played five times at English non league level, we signed him after a stint in Finnish football.
MacDonald had played twenty five times, two at Southampton and then various loan spells. He only scored twice.
As others have said, bringing in two young strikers was preferable as Mackin was released last season.
Turnbull, Hastie, Campbell, McLean and indeed McMillan give me hope over the next season. We are short at the back but hopefully McMillan will step up when needed.
I thought Campbell was MotM against Ross County.

Were we not linked with that Amond guy in the article a couple seasons back?
We were.

I've watched a lot of Lithuanian football and spoken a lot about Lithuanian players over the last couple of years.
Petravicius comes with a good pedigree and is one of the top prospects in the country. A number of Dutch and Portugese teams were after him but he was very keen to stay in the UK.
My Lithuanian friends are surprised he was on trial with us and expected him to be back in the English Championship.

Utterly bizarre that the police didn't interview the alleged victim, but there you go.
For the Caroline Flack references, Scots law is very different and the PF and Crown decide if there is a case to answer and if it in the public interest to prosecute.
I'm glad that the case called in Edinburgh and not Glasgow. If it appeared before Sheriff Crozier it may have been very different.
