  1. The fact that he couldn't find a league club says it all really.
  2. That's what I thought when I posted and you've conveyed my thoughts on the player. I just hope he doesn't turn out to he the next Bob McHugh for a variety of reasons, not least stifling his progress. Anyway, I've heard that Palace are 'keeping tabs' on Moult, bit are far from the only club. Cardiff are likely to make an offer and have had scouts at many Scottish games recently, apparently. They've got Moult, McGinn and Hayes on a shortlist.
  3. It all depends on whether McGee/Burrows offer him an extension.
  4. We really should be sticking an extension under Moult's nose right now. Next season we could see McDonald leave, Moult being sold at a discounted fee, Mackin released and only Blyth and Bowman.
  5. After all the Aberdeen and McInnes hype of the last few seasons, I can't actually believe the position they are now in with four of their first XI. Considine, Pawlett, Jack and McGinn all out of contract and with Hayes with eighteen months to run and currently subject to speculation from Cardiff and other Championship teams. With regard to Moult, I'd be surprised of he is at Fir Park next season. Same with Cadden.
  6. I'd be happy if we didn't sign anyone, moved a few out on loan and gave first team appearances to some of our youth squad. We may get offers in for Moult and Cadden, time for McHugh to return too.
  7. If Commons has been tracked by Hibs and they are looking for more creative and attacking threats from midfield, I'm sure Lennon will have Pearson on the radar.
  8. The guy's pissed off that Trump hasn't offered him a job as head of trade or international development.
  9. On a different note - I also don't want to fuel the McGee haters - but I was speaking to someone who has been working in Greece for the last few years, so I haven't had much time with them. He mentioned that he had recommend Efrem to McGee during his first spell with us and the player was available for loan from Rangers and subsequently went on to Dundee. Efrem had played well and scored in the Champions League recently, so that is how the subject surfaced. Apparently McGee knocked back the loan and mentioned his relationship with Strachan who was at Celtic at the time. I did wonder about a conspiracy and paranoia, until I checked the dates and it was the season we took Cilian Sheridan on loan. I'm not suggesting that Efrem would have turned out to be a great player we missed, but I was concerned about the comments attributed to McGee.
  10. One of my friends is on the staff at Stranraer, so I'll need to ask them about his progress there. I just wonder if there is a place for him at Motherwell now, with the emegency of McMillan and Ferguson?
  11. I can't see Lucas getting a new deal beyond January, unless he is willing to be paid washers or a 'pay as you play' deal. I'm sure he does have a lot to offer in a creative area of midfield, he just hasn't been able to keep himself fit for most of the last five years. Shame. I'd like to see what Blyth and Mackin could offer but I can't see Kennedy, Laing, Chalmers or Ainsworth being here after this season, regardless of what the latter has been saying in the press yesterday. If Rangers put us out the cup and we manage to get to mid table, then there will be a rebuilding job in the summer. Hopefully McMillan, Ferguson, McLean, Campbell, Hastie and Turnbull will get a good amount of game time after Christmas.
  12. He did have The Queens Park Cafe, but has since retired.
  13. Laing was also a sellable asset. Young, physically imposing and I'm sure, with the right coaching and guidance, will be a reasonable standard of player.
  14. I think Laing has been pretty poorly treated. McMannus has been woeful on some games, yet is first puck to start.
  15. I agree WeeYin. Problem is that neither Barraclough or McGee sanctioned that. Cadden and Mackin have improved immeasurably as a result of loan moves, as did Erwin. Despite being left sided, a wide player and having all the tools, McLean seems to be ahead of him now.
  16. 'Start running the forum as it should be.' What is wrong with this guy? Even Donald Trump has become more civilised in recent weeks.
  17. I wish he would give as much effort to producing as a footballer than he does attention to social media. Sometimes I wonder if he thinks he's the Scottish Raheem Sterling instead of a player with a handful of senior appearances in three seasons.
  18. I was talking in a purely footballing sense. No family references.
  19. Thomas, and his time at the club, reminds me of a certain Adam Coakley.
  20. First time I've seen McGuire's name mentioned, but we also have Hastie and Turbull. I'm glad to see McLean getting game time this season, even if he doesn't become a regular starter and that will be difficult while Cadden plays at right midfield, we'll need strength in the wide positions if Ainsworth leaves at the end of his contract in June. Realistically we know have young players ahead of more established ones, something we haven't seen since McGee's last spell. McMillan ahead of Chalmers and perhaps Hammell, McLean ahead of Thomas and Ferguson ahead of Kennedy, who is zither that I just don't see getting a look in before his contract is up in June.
  21. I actually think, besides the very well considered opinions on both Lasley and Hammell, that McMannus was absolutely shocking against Dundee and not for the first time this season. I know I'm critical of him, but I think the same rule applies as it does to Hammell, with regard to a two year contract. Ferguson, McMillan and Watt all need a chance in the first team. Chalmers has looked positive in his appearances this season, but he has offered little given he has been at the club a season and a half.
